In this work, Scalar Passive code in Lattice Boltzmann Method was employed to simulate mixing performance of Passive mixer in a micro-channel. It physically analyzed stream line and Pressure drop for passive mixer in a micro-channel. The flow characteristics in a micro-channel was a function of Peclet number. The results indicated that the size of static element was more effect on the mixing than the number of static element and the distance of static elements.

This paper presents the system demonstrator for an optical fiber sensor system developed as a technological evaluator suitable for generic sensric sensing applications. The new type of fiber-optic sensor employed a diaphragm displacement transforms pressure into optical intensity. Form this sensing technique, we can know the variation of source intensity, the loss of a optical fiber, and the reflectivity of the diaphragm surface. Experimental results are applied to the low-pressure transducer suitable for measuring miniature pressure.
The total pressure and partial pressure of small cavity for flat panel display have been successfully measured by using an ultra-high vacuum chamber with mass spectrometer. The total pressure in the panel was in the range of $10^{-6}$ Torr and the major partial pressure affecting increase in total pressure were those of Ar, $CH_4$and He. The baking temperature during evacuation process was very important for high-vacuum package, the total pressure and partial pressure of $CH_4$ were decreased as the increase of baking temperature.
This paper introduces a pressure correction method for microflow computation. Conventional CFD methods with no slip boundary condition fail to predict the rarefaction effect of the wall when simulating gas microflows in the slip-flow regime. Pressure correction method with an appropriate slip boundary condition is an efficient tool in analyzing microscale flows. The present unstructured SIMPLE algorithm adopts both the classical Maxwell boundary condition and Langmuir boundary condition proposed by Myong. The simulation results of microchannel flows show that the proposed method has an effective predictive capability for microscale flows.

When preparing calcium alginate microspheres using rotating membrane emulsification that rotates SPG (Shirasu porous glass) tubular membrane in the continuous phase, the optimal conditions of rotating membrane emulsification process parameters for producing monodisperse microspheres were determined. We determined the effects of process parameters of rotating membrane emulsification (the rotating speed of membrane module, the transmembrane pressure, the ratio of dispersed phase to continuous phase, the alginate concentration, the emulsifier concentration, the stabilizer concentration, the crosslinking agent concentration, and the membrane pore size) on the mean size and size distribution of alginate microspheres. As a result, the size of the microspheres decreased as the rotating speed of membrane module, the emulsifier concentration, and the crosslinking agent concentration increased among the process parameters of rotating membrane emulsification. On the contrary, as the ratio of dispersed phase to continuous phase, the transmembrane pressure, and the alginate concentration increased, the size of the microspheres increased. In the rotating membrane emulsification using an SPG membrane with a pore size of 3.2 ㎛, it was possible to finally prepare monodisperse alginate microspheres with a particle size of 4.5 ㎛ through the control of process parameters.

The effect of pressure on the phase transformation in Fe-30Ni-0.35C Alloy and pure metals was investigated by using PDSC(pressure differential scanning calorimeter). As the pressure increased from 1 atm to 60 atm, the $A_s$points of the ausformed martensite and the marformed martensite in Fe-30Ni-0.35C Alloy were lowered about $2~4^{\circ}C$ at reverse transformation. This is why the volume change came down at phase transition(from martensite to autenite). As the pressure increased from 1 atm to 60 atm, $A_f$ points were constant or slightly increased. This is due to the promotion of carbide precipitation with increasing pressure. The enthalpy change of the ausformed martensite in Fe-30Ni-0.35C Alloy was increased by 10~14J/g. The melting points of the pure metals, Se, Sn, Pb, Zn and Te were slightly increased with increasing pressure. The enthalpy changes of the pure metals at melting were little changed or slightly increased with increasing pressure.
