  • Light Guide Panel(LGP) is a key part of backlight unit(BLU) which transforms line-light of lamp to surface-light. Dot pattern is formed on the injected LGP surface by screen printing. This dot pattern is composed of several ten thousands micro dots of diameter 150-180$\mu\textrm{m}$ or so. The dot patterning by screen printing causes low productivity and low performance of TFT-LCD. This research develops the micromachining technology for LGP mould which could form micro dot pattern by injection molding, removing the existing screen printing process.

  • Injection molding using plastic materials was expected to mass production of structure with nano pattern for low cost phase. The PDMS mold was produced easily and uniformly by using thermal embossing. Quartz master for embossing method was made using electron beam lithography it had 100-500 nm size of line and dot type. The PDMS mold was produced after a brief hardening process and the master removal. The results show that various patterns are successfully fabricated the nano scale.. The replicated mold would be useful a stamper fabrication for injection molding.

  • We developed the stamper structured mold with moving core type with nano pattern. Among the factors affecting the quality of injection molding plastic parts, We studied the effects of moving core surface heating method on the transcription of injection molding plastic parts with nano structures. Moving core surface heating has been tested by three different methods. The first was conventional injection molding process without heating moving core surface, the second was halogen lamp radiation heating process and the last was MmSH process using gas flame. As a result of making injection molded parts by using thermoplastic amorphous resins such as COC, PMMA, MmSH method which is the most high temperature of moving core surface showed the best nano pattern transcription of the three methods, but the outcome of conventional injection molding process was not better than others.

Effects of Die Temperature and CO2 Gas Injection on Physical Properties of Extruded Brown Rice-Vegetable Mix (사출구 온도와 CO2 가스주입이 현미·야채류 압출성형물의 물리적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study is designed to examine the change in physical properties of extruded brown rice-vegetable mix at different temperatures and $CO_2$ gas injections. Moisture content and screw speed were fixed to 27% and 100 rpm respectively. Die temperatures and $CO_2$ gas injections were adjusted to 60, 80, $100^{\circ}C$ and 0, 150 mL/min, respectively. The ratio of ${\alpha}$-brown rice, brown rice and sugars (oligosaccharides and palatinose) was fixed to 25, 50 and 16%, respectively. Green tea, tomato and pumpkin powder were blended individually at 9%. Specific mechanical energy (SME) input decreased as die temperature for each vegetable addition increased. All extrudates decreased in density and breaking strength, but increased in specific length and water soluble index as $CO_2$ gas injection increased. Elastic modulus decreased as the die temperature and $CO_2$ gas injection increased. Extruded green tea mix with $CO_2$ gas injection at 150 mL/min was larger pore size and higher amount of pore than the tomato and pumpkin extrudates with $CO_2$ gas injection. Cold extrusion with $CO_2$ gas injection at $60^{\circ}C$ die temperature could be applicable for making Saengsik (uncooked food).

  • 근래에 일본을 비롯하여 한국과 대만 등 아시아 여러나라에서 광학소자의 플라스틱화로 흐름이 급속히 진행되고 있는 가운데 광학소자에 생기는 성형불량을 예측하는 기술에 관심이 모아지고 있다. 도레이 주식회사에서는 3차원 유한요소 모델용 시스템을 세계에서 처음 실용화에 성공한 바 있으며, 본 고에서는 이 기술에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 광학소자에 관한 CAE 해석의 역사는 아직 시작단계지만 요구 정밀도는 상당히 높기 때문에 끊임없이 해석기술의 정밀도화에 노력하고 있다. 또 미세 V(브이)홈에 있어서 전사성 평가에 대해서도 요구가 높기 때문에 예측 기술의 확립을 도모하고 있다.

  • We injection molded a plate with micro surface features including micro prizms & micro channels patterns on its surface and investigated the replication of the micro features depending on the mold temperature which is one of typical process parameters. The size of the patterns were 8um, 10um, 15um of prizm features & 15um, 30um, 45um of channel features. The size of the plate is about $400mm{\times}400mm$ and the thickness is 1mm of plate. the repliction of the mucro features turned out to depend on the mold temperature and also the location on the plate. The pressure and the feature of the melt in the cavity were also measured in real-time for the investigation on the micro feature replication.

  • 본 연구에서는 기존 고압주조법의 해결과제인 고속충진 시 혼입되는 금형 cavity 내부의 유해 gas에 의한 gas porosity를 제어하기 위한 고속 사출 전 진공시스템 설계와 응고과정에서 발생되는 응고수축에 의한 shrinkage를 효과적으로 제어하기 위한 국부가압 스퀴즈의 조합시스템의 설계로 최적의 기계적 성질을 갖는 부품을 제조할 수 있는 공법을 개발하였다. 또한 개발된 신공법으로 자동차용 고내마모성 요구부품인 Reaction Shaft Support에 기존의 주철제를 대체하는 Al-15wt.%Si 과공정합금을 적용하여 시제품을 제조하였으며, 기존의 공법과 비교한 결과, 내부 porosity가 없는 미세하고 균일한 공정 및 초정 Si의 미세조직을 얻을 수 있었고, 기계적 특성평가에서도 매우 우수한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.
