본 논문에서는 CORBA 환경 하에서 멀티미디어 스트림을 효율적으로 처리하고 제어하기 위한 멀티미디어 스트림 통신 서비스의 설계와 구현에 관한 내용을 기술한다. 제안하는 멀티미디어 스트림 통신 서비스에서는 멀티미디어 스트림의 효율적인 처리와 제어 그리고 전송을 위한 소프트웨어 구성 요소들을 분산 객체들로 설계한다. 그리고 제어 데이터와 미디어 데이터의 전송 경로를 분리하여 미디어 데이터의 전송은 RTP(Realtime Transport Protocol)로 직접적으로 전송하므로서 멀티미디어 스트림의 전송 효율을 최적화한다. 우리는 멀티미디어 스트림 통신을 위한 분산 객체들 간의 연결설정과 제어 절차를 보여주며, 테스트 시스템을 구축하여 성능을 평가한다 성능 평가 결과 연결 설정 지연은 TCP 연결에 비해 다소 지연을 가지나, 미디어 데이터의 전송은 CORBA 의 IIOP 프로토콜에 비해 최적화된 성능을 보여준다.

This study is intended to propose quality criteria and Web metrics for usability quality evaluation of multimedia Web sites. Recently, applications of the Web sites are not limited to the area of industry and operating as it integrates the new technology. Also as information super highway becomes common with development or network technology, multimedia Web site is on the rise due to various use of multimedia attributes. Therefore this study expands to apply HTML based Web site quality evaluation studied in Software engineering, HCI, Hypermedia to multimedia Web site, and suggests new metrics by integrating flash usability which is expanding its portion in multimedia Web site lately. The Web metrics proposed in this study are verified by heuristic evaluation from a group of expert. It analyses the results of quantitative and qualitative qualify evaluation on Web Award Korea by comparing the award-winning, high-quality Web site with non-winning Web sites. This study can be used to establish guideline for high-quality multimedia Web site development in the future.

기존 산업평가 방법은 산업별로 분류된 기업의 재무, 비재무 관련 정형 데이터를 기반으로 통계적 기법을 이용하여 각 산업을 평가하고 있다. 이러한 정형 데이터 기반의 산업 평가 방법은 산업별 재무 정보의 집계 및 통계에 오랜 시간이 소요된다. 따라서, 현재 시장 상황을 반영하기 어려운 현실이다. 최근에는 빠르게 변화하는 산업 환경을 반영하기 위해 뉴스 기사와 같은 비정형 데이터를 통해 산업 트랜드를 분석하기 위한 연구가 이루어 지고 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 변화하는 산업 트렌드를 반영하여 적시에 산업 분석 정보를 제공하기 위해 정형/비정형 데이터 기반의 산업평가 정보 분석 엔진을 구현하고, 산업별로 분석된 산업평가 정보를 활용하여 사용자가 직관적인 판단을 할 수 있도록 산업평가 정보 시각화 서비스를 제안한다.

최근 들어 영상을 중심으로 여러 형태의 정보를 결합하여 저장하거나 전송하는 소위 '멀티미디어' 가 전 세계적 열풍을 불러일으키고 있다. 디지털 기술에 바탕을 둔 멀티미디어 혁명은 멀티미디어 PC, 주문형 비디오(VOD), HDTV, 디지털 방송, DVD등 여러 가지 상품의 형태로 소비자들에게 선보이고 있다. 디지털 비디오 압축 기술은 이러한 멀티미디어 응용분야의 핵심이며, 압축 관련 국제표준안 중 가장 최근에 발표된 것은 MPEG-4와 H.264가 있다. 이에 본 논문은 동영상 압축 기술의 핵심인 움직임 예측에 대하여 연구하고 최근 가장 활발히 연구되고 있는 DMB용 움직임 벡터 추출 프로그램을 구현하며 성능평가 한 것이다. 뿐만 아니라 이후 이를 바탕으로 움직임 벡터 추출 모듈을 VHDL로 구현한 후 성능평가의 기준으로 이용할 것이다.

2014년 4월 16일 세월호 참사는 수백 명의 생명을 앗아간 대형 인재로 재난 관리뿐만 아니라 재난 방송과 같은 공적 미디어의 역할과 기능에 대한 반성의 계기와 종합적 재난 미디어 체계의 필요성을 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 재난 상황에서 우리 국민들이 여러 가지 유형의 미디어에 대한 이용 행태를 파악하고 미디어들이 가지고 있는 재난 정보 속성을 분석하고자 하였다. 또한 일반인을 대상으로 하는 재난방송과 차별적으로 재난 현장에서 정보를 제공하는 재난 미디어의 요구사항을 도출하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 효과적인 멀티미디어 데이터 검색을 위하여 기존의 주석과 내용 기반 검색 기법을 보완한 새로운 멀티미디어 데이터 검색 기법과 멀티미디어 데이터 모델을 사용한 통합 멀티미디어 검색 및 주석 시스템을 제안한다. 데이터 모델로는 MPEG-7 표준에 정의 되어있는 멀티미디어 기술 구조(MDS)와 기술 정의 언어인 XML Schema를 사용하였다. 이러한 모델을 기반으로 멀티미디어 데이터를 XML의 계층구조를 이용하여 주석 처리하고 다양한 방법을 통하여 검색을 할 수 있는 멀티미디어 검색 시스템을 구현하여, 실제 실험을 통하여 성능을 평가하였다.

To explore the social construction of the concept of leadership, image of media mogul depicted in the popular business newspaper, the Wall Street Journal, was analyzed. Then, the reconstructed image of the CEO was compared with the firm's stock price change to see their relationship, if any. This paper focused on the case of Steve Case (previous chairman of AOL Time Warner), who was the leader of the world largest media company. The period for the analysis was three years and five months from his inauguration(January 2000) to the resignation(May 2003). In general, CEO of a firm represents the firm itself. Thus, the image of the CEO is highly transcends to the image of the firm as well. Consequently, the image of CEO might have an impact on the firm's performance. Since business newspaper works as one of the most important information intermediaries in the stock market, the image of CEO constructed in the newspaper might be a critical indicator for the investors. The results revealed that media coverage of Steve Case was commensurate with the financial performance, particularly stock price change of the AOL Time Warner.

본 논문에서는 정보보호관리체계와 위험분석방법을 적용한 안전성 평가 도구를 설계하였다. 또한, 위험평가시 동일한 가중치를 적용한 평가와 조직의 특성에 따라 보안요소의 가중치를 가변적으로 적용한 평가를 할 수 있도록 하였으며, 각 조직이 자체적으로 보안 점검을 할 수 있도록 설계함으로서 관리적 측면에서 취약점을 쉽게 찾을 수 있도록 지원하며, 수행해야 할 권고를 제시한다.

Multimedia element of the game graphics and sound, etc. 'commitment' that plays an important role in gameplay. Therefore, the quality of the game is closely related to the quality of multimedia elements that can be. In this study, various competitions in the field of content screening criteria based on previous studies and multimedia elements of the game area, and domain-specific details about the quality of sub-elements were extracted. Assessment areas and sub-elements extracted to verify the need for the game will be carried out surveys among the users. The findings in the next game production shall be deemed to be an important reference material.
