  • 지하에 매설된 가스관의 경우 MFL(Magnetic Fluk Leakage, 자기누설탐상) PIG를 이용하여 금속관의 여러 가지 기계적인 손상을 감지하여 사고예방이나 유지관리의 정보로 활용하고 있다. 이러한 비파피검사는 당장 수리가 필요한 손상에서부터 장래에 위협이 될 수도 있는 지하 매설관 외부의 금속물체(Metal object)까지 찾아낼 수 있어야 한다. 이 논문은 지하 매설관 외부의 금속물체의 크기, 모양 및 이격거리 등에 따른 자기누설 신호를 유한요소법을 이용하여 simulation 하고, MFL PIG를 이용하여 지하 매설관에 대한 비파괴검사를 할 경우 나타나는 여러 가지 자기적 신호를 보정하여 metal object의 크기나 위치 등을 판별할 수 있도록 기본적인 자기누설 정보를 제공하기 위한 연구이다. NMFL PIG의 형상과 금속물체의 크기 종류 의 정확한 분석을 위하여 3차원 해석을 하였다.

  • 본 연구는 차량이 정차해 있거나 차량을 후진하여 이동시키고자 할 때 운전자의 시야에 보이지 않는 차량의 후방 좌 우측에서 접근하는 차량 또는 보행자와 같은 움직임을 가지는 물체와 충돌을 회피하기 위한 방법에 관한 연구이다. 해당 물체와 충돌을 피하기 위해서는 후방의 영상을 획득하여 움직임을 가진 물체를 식별하고 차량과의 거리, 속도 및 충돌 가능성을 계산할 수 있어야 한다.

  • This paper is about distance measurement in various applications using Laser characteristics(monochromaticity, diectivity, interference, brightness, coherence). There are many kinds of methods such as light wavelength, light straight, light triangulation in distance measurement that use Laser. The measurement in this paper reforms a previous triangulation. This method define two Lasers place on regular distance control from 0$^{\circ}$ to 90$^{\circ}$. They have each phase which is shined a target.

  • To overcome the problems of the existing black box which is exposed to the risk of blind spots in the imaging of a fixed front and rear views of an object, this paper suggests a new intelligent black box that can detect and shoot side views of an object. This paper proposes an algorithm of the intelligent black box with a rotating function in order to compensate for the side blind spot of the vehicle. This intelligent black box with rotating screen adopts the infrared distance sensor to sense an object which approaches to the vehicle and rotates automatically towards the object.

  • In this paper, we have designed an active radio frequency identification system solving the problems of moving transponder which is identification range expanding and low battery consuming of transponder. Developed radio frequency identification system is a bidirectional data transmission system which is composed of decoder data transmission of 120 kHz and transponder data carrier of 60 kHz which is a subharmonic frequency response with ASK modulation. The experimental results, designed system operating at 9600 bps, show good performances with detecting the 40 km/h moving transponder up to the range of 2 and 15 ${mu}A$ low consuming current.

  • 물체의 형상을 부호화하기 위한 베이스라인기반 기법을 개선하였다. 베이스라인 기반 기법은 2차원인 물체의 형상 데이터를 전환점(turning point)과 기준선(Baseline)으로 부터의 거리값으로 부호화하는 방식이다. 즉, 가로나 세로의 한 방향의 거리 값과 다른 방향의 전환점을 부호화하는 방식이다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 베이스라인 기반 기법의 성능을 개선하기 위한 방법을 제안하였다. 첫 번째 방법은 허용 왜곡과 비트율을 판단하여 가로나 세로로 기준점의 방향을 변화시킴으로서 부호화해야하는 점들과 전환점들의 개수를 감소시켜서 압축률을 높이는 것이다. 두 번째 방법은 기존의 부표본화에서 사용된 왜곡을 판단보다 더 세밀하게 판단하여 더 많은 종류의 부표본화를 가능케 함으로써 압축률을 높이는 방법이다. 제안하는 방법이 기존의 베이스라인 기반 부호화와 MPEG-4에서 채택하고 있는 CAE(Context-based Arithmetic Encoding)와 비교해 보았을 때 보다 우수한 성능을 보임을 모의실험을 통해 확인하였다.

Model Creation Algorithm for Multiple Moving Objects Tracking (다중이동물체 추적을 위한 모델생성 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, we proposed model creation algorithm for multiple moving objects tracking. The proposed algorithm is divided that the initial model creation step as moving objects are entered into background image and the model reformation step in the moving objects tracking step. In the initial model creation step, the initial model is created by AND operating division image, divided using difference image and clustering method, and edge image of the current image. In the model reformation step, a new model was reformed in the every frame to adapt appearance change of moving objects using Hausdorff Distance and 2D-Logarithmic searching algorithm. We simulated for driving cart in the road. In the result, model was created over 98% in case of irregular approach direction of cars and tracking objects number.

  • In this paper, we propose a new class of color histogram model suitable for object tracking. In addition to the pixel count, each bin of the proposed model also contains the spatial mean and the average value of the pixels located at a certain distance from the mean location of the bin. Using the proposed color histogram model, we derive a mean shift procedure using the modified Bhattacharyya distance. Unlike most mean shift based methods, our algorithm performs well even when the object being tracked shares similar colors with the background. Experimental results demonstrate improved tracking performance over existing methods.

  • This paper introduces an objects recognition algorithm based on SURF(Speeded Up Robust Features) and GP(Genetic Programming) based gaits generation. Combining both methods, a recognition based intelligent walking for quadruped robots is proposed. The gait of quadruped robots is generated by means of symbolic regression for each joint trajectories using GP. A position and size of target object are recognized by SURF which enables high speed feature extraction, and then the distance to the object is calculated. Experiments for objects recognition and autonomous walking for quadruped robots are executed for ODE based Webots simulation and real robot.

  • In order to render global illumination realistically, we need to accurately compute the direct and indirect illumination that represents the light information incoming through complex light paths. In this process, the indirect illumination at given point is greatly affected by surrounding geometries. Harmonic mean distance is a mathematical tool which is often used as a metric indicating the distance from a surface point to its visible objects in 3D space, and plays a key role in such advanced global illumination algorithms as irradiance/radiance caching and ambient occlusion. In this paper, we analyze the accuracy of harmonic mean distance estimated against various environments in the final gathering and photon mapping methods. Based on the experimental results, we discuss our experiences and future directions that may help develop an effective harmonic mean distance computation method in the future.
