Evaluation Research on the Protection and Regeneration of the Urban Historical and Cultural District of Pingjiang Road, Suzhou, China (중국 쑤저우 평강로 도시역사문화거리 보존 및 재생사업 평가연구)

  • This study analyses the historical and cultural streets at Pinggang Road in the city of Suzhou, by understanding the development and conservation of the area, and uses the following ways to investigate its development, re-organization, and current state. This paper comprehensively compares, collates and investigates 4 different historical and cultural areas in Insadong and Samcheong-dong in South Korea, and South Luogu Lane in China. From initial research and analysis, this paper gathers the cultural, economic, and societal perspectives as non-physical measures, and spatial structure, road structure, and building maintenance as physical factor framework. It is significant in that it can provide an evaluation model for the preservation and regeneration of historical and cultural streets by presenting the viewpoint of complex development of non-physical and physical elements in Pyeonggang-ro. In addition, it is necessary to conduct optimization and specific research on insufficient areas, such as maintenance and development of programs and signature systems for visitors, and continuous development of historical and cultural network platforms by combining on-site surveys. Basic data should be provided for reference on the street.

Effects of Size Illusion According to Distance Information Restriction on Time Perception (거리 정보 제한에 따른 크기 착시가 시간 지각에 미치는 영향)

  • IThe perception of sub-second duration through the visual sensory system is affected by non-temporal characteristics (factors other than the duration of the stimulus). However, studies have shown that if distance information is abundant and size constancy maintained, the duration of the target is constantly perceived. The current study examined the relationship between size and time perception constancy in a three-dimensional environment with limited distance information. A device was constructed to limit the participants' bilateral and monocular cues. This prevented participants from maintaining size constancy, resulting in size illusions that could not accurately perceive physical size. In Experiment 1, the size of the physical stimulus of reference and test stimuli were the same at all viewing distances. The results suggest that, despite the same physical size, stimuli with close observations were perceived to be greater and lasted longer. In Experiment 2, the retinal size of the reference stimuli and test stimuli was controlled equally at all viewing distances. As a result, although the physical size of the stimuli increased as the observation increased, the perceived size of all the stimuli was the same. Therefore, the duration of the target was constantly perceived at all viewing distances. The results of this study demonstrate that even when distance information is limited, time perception is affected by the perceived size of the object. It also suggests that when rich distance information exists, the duration of the object can be constantly perceived even if the observation distance varies.

  • Although accurate time perception is necessary to properly respond to the environment, it was discovered that non-temporal features also affect time perception. Previous studies have identified various factors that affect time perception, but there was no attempt to directly investigate the possible effects of the distance between participants and the stimuli on time perception. The current study examined the effects of viewing distance on time perception, by considering the retinal, physical, and perceived size of the stimuli. The viewing distance had no effect when either the physical size or the perceived size of the stimulus was the same. Viewing distance was found only to have an effect when the retinal size of the stimulus was the same. This effect might be a size effect rather than a distance effect because as the viewing distance increases the size should also increase to maintain the retinal size. These results imply that temporal perceptual constancy is preserved irrespective of the viewing distance, when distance information is not limited.

우주거리척도(Cosmic Distance Scale)로 사용되는 식쌍성 I. 알골형 식쌍성을 이용하여 측정한 거리

  • 천체의 거리는 다양한안 방법을 사용하여 직접 혹 간접적으로 측정되어왔다. 특히 우주배경복사를 측정하는 인공위성 관측의 정밀도가 혁명적으로 향상됨에 따라 우주의 나이는 수 % 이내의 정밀도로 결정할 수 있는 수준으로 발전하였다. 우주의 규모가 구체적으로 정의되는 가운데 우주의 절대적인 크기를 제시하기 위하여 천체의 거리를 측정하는데 사용되는 표준등불로 세페이드 변광성 이외에 식쌍성이 새롭게 대두되었다. 이 논문에서는 식쌍성이 거리척도의 표준등불이 될 수 잇는지 검증하기 위하여 광도곡선과 시선속도곡선이 잘 알려진 알골형 쌍성 식쌍성 RY Aqr, RX Gem, RS Vul을 선정하여 거리를 산출하였다. 별을 선정한 기준은 2색 이상의 광도곡선이 발표되고, 이중 분광쌍성으로 시선속도곡선이 각 성분별로 잘 관측되어 발표되고, IUE 관측 자료가 있는 알골형 쌍성이다. 거리 산출과정에서 간접적으로 유추하여 얻는 인자를 줄이기 위하여, 광도곡선으로부터 별의 상대적인 크기를 구하고, 시선속도곡선으로부터 공전궤도의 장반경을 구하고, 별의 에너지 분포 곡선으로부터 별의 온도를 측정하였다. 위 3종류의 관측 결과를 종합하여 식쌍성의 물리적 인자와 거리를 구하였다. 이와 같은 방법으로 구한 거리는 히파크러스를 이용하여 관측한 시차와 비교하였다.

  • The current study explored how robot's persuasive intent and its' physical distance affect consumers' evaluaton on the robot and the product that the robot advertises. This study administered a 2 (level of pursasion intent: low vs. high) × 2 (physical distance: normal vs. close) between-subjects factorial design experiment. The findings revealed that consumers evaluated the robot' expertise and trustworthiness more negatively and reported lower intentions to buy the produce when they perceived robot's persasive intent saliently high. Consumers were also found to show more negative attitude toward the robot and lower intentions to buy the produce when the robot approached to their personal space more closely. The theoretical and practical implications about human-robot interaction in marketing context were discussed.

  • 도심 도로변의 대기질은 주변의 고층 건물로 인한 거리 협곡으로 인하여 도시의 대기질에서 가장 빈번하게 기준을 초과하는 지역이다. 대부분의 대도시에서 고층 빌딩으로 구성된 도심 거리 협곡(urban street canyon)의 자동차에서 배출되는 대기오염물질은 운전자, 보행자, 도로변 작업자, 자동차 승객 등의 건강에 직접적으로 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 자동차 대기오염물질은 지표면에서 발생되기 때문에 거리 협곡은 배출원 인근의 대기오염물질 확산에 중요한 영향을 준다. 우선적으로, 거리 협곡은 협곡 상공에서 수직적인 혼합을 유도하게 된다. 둘째로, 거리 협곡의 형성은 협곡의 지형적 또는 물리적 경계 내의 오염물질을 정체시키게 되어, 협곡 상공으로 공기가 자유롭게 이동하여 오염물질을 수송하는 것을 지체시키는 경향이 있다. A Study on Placeness of Gwangju Art Street Looked through Experience of Life Subjects (생활주체의 경험을 통해 본 광주 예술의 거리 장소성 연구)

  • This study aims to analyze the placeness of Gwangju Art Street and the changing process of the street, looked through the experiences of life subjects living in this street. For this purpose, at first, history before art street was designated was traced by reviewing geographical characteristics and spatial transformation of the Art Street with the trend of Gwangju art scene and economic political situation. And then, in order to analyze the placeness of Gwangju Art Street, formation factors of placeness are extracted into physical element, behavior element and semantic element. Physical element and behavior element were analyzed through in-depth interview and data analysis for individual and microscopic historical process of life subjects being experienced in the street that is contrary to policy and plan. Finally, a semantic element was identified through questionnaire as to how people recognize current art street through a history being experienced as a venue of conflict of meaning. It is implied that bottom up place making policies that may connect context of the formation of placeness with the viewpoint of life subject in the Art Street is required to be presented now.

  • 현실의 물리적인 공간에서의 상호작용으로 얻은 경험을 가상현실에서 완전 몰입형 HMD를 착용한 사용자에게 동일하게 제공하기 위해서는 가상공간 내의 사물의 위치, 높이와 같은 거리감을 효율적으로 제공하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 사용자가 느끼는 실재와 가상 간 거리감 보정을 위한 제어 요소 도출을 위해 인체 데이터인 IPD, 키, 눈높이를 측정하여 실험에 반영한다. 실험 시 보다 높은 가상공간 상 거리감 인지를 위해 현실에서의 50cm, 100cm 거리감 인지 훈련을 수행한다. 실험자는 가상공간 상에서 85cm 거리에 위치한 판자를 시각적으로 가늠 후 인지한 만큼 이동하게 되고 그 거리를 측정한다. 측정된 데이터들을 바탕으로 한 분산 분석을 통해 각 데이터 간의 관계를 파악한다.

  • This study seizes the commercial environment on a few impact by the physical planning of the object of Gwangju Metropolitan City's Choong-jang ro specialized streets preparation. Nameley, for seizes the impact of commercial activity by the walking environment improvement proposition, analysis the avenue's physical variation after the walking environment improvement proposition and seizes the sales figure, visitors' variation and the psychological effects through the shopping store's hosts's and shopping store's visitors's survey of the business conducted areas. Through this situation, the purpose of the this study is proposing the political suggestions that elicit the alternative of making the commercial environment fitted the avenue's attributes through the walking environment improvement proposition.
