Background Segmentation in Color Image Using Self-Organizing Feature Selection (자기 조직화 기법을 활용한 컬러 영상 배경 영역 추출)

  • Color segmentation is one of the most challenging problems in image processing especially in case of handling the images with cluttered background. Great amount of color segmentation methods have been developed and applied to real problems. In this paper, we suggest a new methodology. Our approach is focused on background extraction, as a complimentary operation to standard foreground object segmentation, using self-organizing feature selective property of unsupervised self-learning paradigm based on the competitive algorithm. The results of our studies show that background segmentation can be achievable in efficient manner.

  • 최근 모바일 기기의 활성화에 따라 M-learning (Mobile learning)이 활성화되고 있다. M-learning을 기반으로 한 코스웨어나 모듈 설계 시 학습자의 적극적 참여와 의미 있는 상호작용의 기회 제공과 실제적 환경에서의 교육활동을 지원하는 것에 초점을 맞추어야 한다. 근접발달영역이론 (Zone of Proximal Development : ZPD)이란 독자적으로 문제를 해결함으로써 결정되는 실제적 발달수준과 성인의 안내나 보다 능력 있는 또래들과 협동하여 문제를 해결함으로써 결정되는 잠재적 발달수준간의 거리이다. 한편, 스캐폴딩은 학습자의 근접발달영역을 변화시키며, 학습자가 스스로 학습할 수 있도록 도와주는 구체적인 방식이라 할 수 있다. 또한 스캐폴딩 (Scaffolding)은 학습자가 구조를 조직하고 새로운 지식을 구성하도록 교수자 또는 촉진자가 도와주면서 교수자와 학습자간에 상호작용하는 과정이다. 본 연구에서는 근접발달영역이론을 이용하여 모바일로 교사가 학습자에게 스캐폴딩을 제공하는 수업모형을 제안한다. 본 모형의 특징은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 문제해결을 위한 스캐폴딩만이 아니라 문제 해결 후 격려 스캐폴딩을 제공하여 학습력 강화가 이뤄지도록 하였다. 둘째, 교사와 학습자 사이에 다양한 스캐폴딩을 제공하여 상호작용을 강화하였다. 셋째, 자신에게 맞는 개별학습, 반복 학습이 가능하고 자기 주도적 학습이 강화되도록 하였다.

The Adolescents' Internet Addiction Tendencies According to their Human Resources (청소년의 인적 자원에 따른 인터넷 중독 경향성)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate adolescents' internet addiction tendencies according to their human resources which is composed of personal resources and interpersonal resources. The subjects of this study were 396 middle school students in Daegu. Analysis of data were done with the use of frequency. percentage, meat factor analysis, and MANOVA with the Scheffe test applied. The main results of this study were as follows : First, there were meaningful differences in adolescents' internet addiction tendencies according to their personal resources such as self-control ability, Problem-solving ability, and time management ability. Second, there were meaningful differences in adolescents' internet addiction tendencies according to their interpersonal resources such as parents-support, peer-support, and teacher-support.

Wave Control by Bottom-Mounted and Fluid-Filled Flexible Membrane Structure (유체가 채워진 착저신 유연막 구조물에 의한 파랑제어)

  • In this paper, the interaction of oblique incident waves with a bottom-mounted and fluid-filled flexible membrane structure is investigated in the frame of linear hydro-elastic theory. The static shape of a membrane structure containing the fluid of a specific density is initially unknown and must be calculated before the hydrodynamic analysis. To solve hydrodynamic problem, the fluid domain is divided into the inner and outer region. The inner solution based on discrete membrane dynamic model and simple-source distribution over the entire fluid boundaries is matched to the outer solution ba~ed on an eigenfunction expansion method. The numerical results were compared to a series of Ohyama's experimental results. The measured reflection and tran¬smission coefficients reasonably follow the trend of predicted values. Using the computer program developed, the performance of a bottom-mounted and fluid-filled flexible membrane strocture is tested with various system parameters (membrane shape, internal pressure, density ratio) and wave characteristics (wave frequencies, incident wave angle). It is found that a bottom-mounted and fluid-filled flexible membrane structure can be an effel;tive wave barrier if properly designed.

  • 본 논문은 재구성 가능한 메쉬(RMESH) 병렬 모델에서 상수 시간에 구멍이 있는 다각형의 한 점으로부터의 가시성 다각형을 구하는 문제를 고려한다. 알고리즘의 기본 전략은 프로세서의 수에 있어 준-최적인 상수 시간 알고리즘을 사용하여 문제의 크기를 감소시킴으로써 최적인 상수 시간 알고리즘을 얻는 것이다. 이 전략을 사용해 모두 N개의 에지로 구성된 구멍이 있는 다각형에 대한 가시성 다각형을 N$\times$N RMESH에서 상수 시간에 구하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이 알고리즘은 다각형들의 집합이 주어져 있을 때 외부의 한 점에서 가시 영역을 구하거나, 선분들의 집합이 주어져 있을 때 평면상의 한 점에서 가시 영역을 구하는 문제도 해결할 수 있다.

A Study on the Weight of Assessment Domains in Science Education Focused on the Teacher's View Points (과학과 평가 영역간의 중요도에 관한 교사들의 인식에 관한 연구)

  • The 7th national curriculum is focused on breeding an independent and creative Korean who will lead the age of globalism and information in the 21st century. It is necessary to improve the existing assessment methods in order to develop higher thinking abilities such as creativity and problem-solving skill. Although teachers have been aware of this necessity, they have realized that it is difficult to improve the current assessment methods. In this study, we selected some assessment domains on science learning with literature reviews and case analysis. In addition, we calculated the degree of its importance by the use of Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). We suggest a direction for improving the present assessment domains on science learning on the basis of the research. Inquiry, cognitive, creative, and affective domain among assessment domains seemed to be listed in order of importance. Moreover, problem-identifying, hypothesizing, and inquiry-planning appeared to be the highest in the degree of importance among sub categories. Considering the results of this study, the current school assessment system which is focused on cognitive domain should be improved.

Efficient Finite Element Analyses of Contact Problems by Domain/Boundary Decomposition Method (영역/경계 분할법을 이용한 저복 문제의 효율적인 유한요소 해석)

  • new domain/boundary decomposition method is suggested to perform efficient finite element analyses of contact problems. A penalty method is used for connecting an interface or contact interfaces with neighboring subdomains that satisfy continuity conditions. As a result, the derived effective stiffness matrices are always positive definite, and computational efficiency can be improved to a considerable degree. Moreover, any complex-shaped domain can be divided into independently modeled subdomains without considering the conformity of meshes along the interface. Using a computer code based on the present method, these advantageous features are confirmed through a set of numerical examples.

A study on the Automatic Algorithm for Numerical Conformal Mapping (수치등각사상의 자동화 알고리즘에 관한 연구)

  • The determination of the conformal maps from the unit disk onto a Jordan region has been completed by solving the Theodorsen equation which is an nonlinear equation for the boundary correspondence function. Wegmann's method has been well known for the efficient mothed among the many suggestions for the Theodorsen equation. We proposed an improved method for convergence by applying a low-frequency pass filter to the Wegmann's method and theoretically proved convergence of improved iteration[1, 2]. And we proposed an effective method which makes it possible to estimate an error even if the real value is nut acquired[3]. In this paper, we propose an automatic algorithm for numerical conformal mapping bared on this error analysis in our early study. By this algorithm numerical conformal mapping is determined automatically according to the given domain of problem and the required accuracy. The discrete numbers and parameters of the low-frequency filter were acquired only by experience. This algorithm, however, is able to determine the discrete numbers and parameters of the low-frequency filter automatically in accordance with the given region This results from analyzing the function, which may decide the shape of the given domain under the assumption that the degree of the problem depends of the transformation of a given domain, as seen in the Fourier Transform. This proposed algorithm is also ploved by numerical experience.

Exemplar-based Image Inpainting with Geometric Constraints for View Synthesis (가상 시점 생성을 위한 기하학적 제약조건을 이용한 예제 기반 영상 인페인팅)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상 시점 생성 시 발생하는 홀 영역의 메움 기법에 관하여 기하학적 제약조건을 이용한 예제 기반 영상 인페인팅 기술을 제안한다. 생성된 가상 시점이 실제 카메라들의 중간에 위치하는 경우, 이 때 발생하는 홀 영역은 시점 간 보상으로 메울 수 있다. 하지만, 가상 시점이 실제 카메라들의 Field-of-View를 벗어난 경우에는 홀 영역에 대한 정보가 없기 때문에 이를 메우는데 어려운 문제가 따른다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 제안한 방법은 예제 기반의 영상 인페인팅 기술을 이용하여 홀 영역을 메운다. 제안한 방법은 홀 영역의 기하학적 특성을 제약조건으로 우선순위(Priority)를 계산한다. 최적의 패치를 찾기 위해 컬러 정보뿐만 아니라 깊이 정보(Depth)를 활용한다. 또한, 전경 물체의 텍스쳐로 인하여 잘못된 패치가 선택되는 문제를 해결하기 위해 적응적으로 패치 크기를 변경한다. 실험 결과에서 제안한 방법은 일반적인 홀 메움 방식과 비교하여 객관적 평가와 주관적 평가 모두에서 시각적으로 우수한 결과를 보여주었다.

Effect of forming groups according to the brain hemisphere preference on the cooperative problem solving learning achievement in the middle school technology (중학교 기술 교과의 협동적 문제해결학습에서 좌우뇌 선호도에 따른 소집단 구성이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of forming groups according to the brain hemisphere preference on the cooperative problem solving learning achievement in the middle school technology. The subjects of this study were 95 second grade boy students of a middle school in Daejeon and the measurement instrument of the left and right hemisphere preference is the Brain preference Indicator(BPI) which had been developed by Torrance et al(1977) and was adjusted by Ko, Younghee(1991). The academic achievement was analyzed on cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. Derived results from this research are stated below: First, making groups according that the brain preference is more similar was more effective than making groups according to the high familiarity and the similarity of performance in the academic achievement of psychomotor and affective domains. Second, making groups according that the brain preference is more similar was more effective than making groups according that the brain preference is more diffrent for the academic achievement of affective domains on the cooperative problem solving learning in technology. Third, the academic achievement score of the right hemisphere preference group is higher than the score of the population in three domains. Also, the academic achievement score of the right hemisphere preference group is higher than the score of the left hemisphere preference group.
