The goal of this research was to study the effects of the Mathematical Problem Generating Program on problem solving ability and learning attitude. The experiment was carried out between two classes. One class was applied with the experimental program (treatment group), and the other continued with normal teaching and learning methods (comparative group). In this study, two 5th grade elementary classes participated in Seoul city. In this study, the students were tested their problem solving abilities by the IPSP test and learning attitude by the Korean Education Development Institute (KEDI) before and after use of the program. The collected results were t-tested to find any meaningful changes. The results showed the followings. First, use of the mathematical generating program showed meaningful progressive results in problem solving ability. Second, the students that used the program showed positive results in learning attitude. In conclusion, learning mathematics using the problem generating method helps students deeper understand and solve complex problems. In addition, problem solving abilities can be improved and the attitude towards mathematics can be changed while students are using an active and positive approach in problem solving processes.

The Purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of Havruta-problem-making consisting of extracurricular activities in pathology classes on nursing students' learning attitude, learning commitment, and self-directed learning ability. Data collection was conducted from August 25 to December 23, 2023 for 84 nursing students in the M University. Paired t-test was conducted on the collected data using the SPSS/WIN 20 program. As a result of the study, learning attitudes (t=-2.00, p=.046), learning flow(t=-1.54, p=.124) and self-directed learning ability (t=-.63, p=.529) were statistically significantly improved by applying Harbuta-problem making. Since Havruta-problem making has been identified as an effective teaching method for nursing students, a study is suggested to confirm the difference between grades. In addition, there is a lack of research that measures the learning attitudes of college students, so repetitive research is needed.

The purpose of this study was to analyze mathematical errors and the effects of reflective problem posing activities on students' mathematical problem solving abilities and attitudes toward mathematics. We chose two 5th grade groups (experimental and control groups) to conduct this research. From the results of this study, we obtained the following conclusions. First, reflective problem posing activities are effective in improving students' problem solving abilities. Students could use extended capability of selecting a condition to address the problem to others in the activities. Second, reflective problem posing activities can improve students' mathematical willpower and promotes reflective thinking. Reflective problem posing activities were conducted before and after the six areas of mathematics. Also, we examined students' mathematical attitudes of both the experimental group and the control group about self-confidence, flexibility, willpower, curiosity, mathematical reflection, and mathematical value. In the reflective problem posing group, students showed self check on their problems solving activities and participated in mathematical discussions to communicate with others while participating mathematical problem posing activities. We suggested that reflective problem posing activities should be included in the development of mathematics curriculum and textbooks.

The purpose of this study is to test if problem posing based on structural approach cooperative learning has a positive effect on mathematical achievement and mathematical disposition. For this purpose, this study carried out tasks as follows: First, we design a problem posing teaching learning program based on structural approach cooperative learning. Second, we analyze how problem posing based on structural approach cooperative learning affects students' mathematical achievement. Third, we analyze how problem posing based on structural approach cooperative learning affects students' mathematical disposition. The results of this study are as follows: First, in the aspect of mathematical achievement, the experimental group who participated in the problem posing program based on structural approach cooperative teaming showed significantly higher improvement in mathematical achievement than the control group. Second, in the aspect of mathematical disposition, the experimental group who participated in the problem posing program based on structural approach cooperative teaming showed positive changes in their mathematical disposition. Summing up the results, through problem posing based on structural approach cooperative learning, students made active efforts to solve problems rather than fearing mathematics and, as a result, their mathematical achievement was improved. Furthermore, through mathematics classes enjoyable with classmates, their mathematical disposition was also changed in a positive way.
By learning math, constructing math problems helps us to improve analytical thinking ability and have a positive attitude and competency towards math leaning. Especially, gifted students should create math problems under certain circumstances beyond the level of solving given math problems. In this study, I examined the math problems made by the gifted students after the process of raising questions and discussing them for themselves by doing origami. I intended to get suggestions by analyzing of problem posing strategy and method facilitating the thinking of mathematics gifted students in an origami program.
This study aimed to investigate students' learning process by examining their perception process of problem structure and mathematization, and further to suggest an effective teaching and learning of mathematics to improve students' problem-solving ability. Using the qualitative research method, the researcher observed the collaborative learning of two middle school students by providing problem-posing activities of five lessons and interviewed the students during their performance. The results indicated the student with a high achievement tended to make a similar problem and a new problem where a problem structure should be found first, had a flexible approach in changing its variability of the problem because he had advanced algebraic thinking of quantitative reasoning and reversibility in dealing with making a formula, which related to developing creativity. In conclusion, it was observed that the process of problem posing required accurate understanding of problem structures, providing students an opportunity to understand elements and principles of the problem to find the relation of the problem. Teachers may use a strategy of simplifying external structure of the problem and analyzing algebraical thinking necessary to internal structure according to students' level so that students are able to recognize the problem.

The purpose of this study to analysis of problem posing in 5th and 6th grade mathematics textbooks and to comprehend errors in the problem posing activity of 6th graders in elementary school. For solving the research problems, problem posing contents were extracted from mathematics textbooks and practice books for the 5th and 6th grade of elementary school in the 2007 revised national curriculum, and they were analyzed, according to each grade, domain and type. Based on the analysis results, 10 problem posing questions which were extracted and developed, were modified and supplemented through a pre-examination, and a questionnaire that problem posing questions are evenly distributed, according to each grade, domain and type, was produced. This examination was conducted with 129 6th graders, and types of error in problem posing were analyzed using collected data. The implications from the research results are as follows. First, it was found that there was a big numerical difference of problem posing questions in the 5th and 6th grade, and problem posing questions weren't properly suggested in even some domains and types, because the serious concentration in each grade, type and domain. Therefore, textbooks to be developed in the future would need to suggest more various and systematic of problem posing teaching learning activity for each domain and type. Second, the 'error resulting from the lack of information' occurred the most in the problems that 6th graders posed, followed by the 'error in the understanding of problems', 'technical errors', 'logical errors' and 'others'. This implies that a majority of students missed conditions necessary for problem solving, because they have been used to finding answers to given questions only. For such reason, there should be an environment in which students can pose problems by themselves, breaking from the way of learning to only solve given problems.
