본 논문은 XML 기반의 문자 메시지를 전송하는 실시간 채팅 시스템을 제안한다. 기존 채팅 시스템은 대부분 의사 전달을 위하여 고정된 크기의 문자 메시지를 사용함으로써, 사용자의 의도를 효율적으로 표현하기 어렵다. 그러므로, 본 논문에서는 사용자 대화의 높낮이 및 행위를 효율적으로 표현하기 위하여 XML 기반의 메시지를 이용하여 다양한 효과를 제공한다. 제안한 시스템의 구성은 클라이언트/서버 구조를 가지며, 클라이언트는 브라우저에서 수행 가능한 자바 애플릿으로 구현하였다. 응용분야로는 온라인 게임 및 교육 등이다.

Various mobile contents have been developed with the spread of cellular phones. Above all things, nowadays, an idle application services are developed through competition in mobile phone manufacturers and mobile communication companies. In this paper, we propose that the idle application with text message service is easy to receive and edit. It is complement to function of SMS in use and can be effective information managing method, for example, it arrays messages and uses diary feature to set permissions when it send and receive standardized text message. We expect that proposed service will be adopted without additional cost in wireless units.

Current cellular systems rely on a CBS protocol for emergency alert broadcast services. However, the CBS protocol just specifies the delivery of a limited text message. Therefore, foreigners, who are unfamiliar with local characters, may have some difficulties in understanding the received CBS text message. The CBS protocol also reveals a distinct restriction in delivering abundant information because of a limited number of text characters. In order to overcome the weak points of the current CBS protocol, we propose a display method of image information and URL on the screens of mobile terminals for the received CBS text message in this paper. The presented approach effectively utilizes the message structure of CBS for 5G cellular systems.

재난문자 전송은 기지국에서 다수의 단말기로 재난문자를 전달하는 단방향 프로토콜인 CBS 긴급 재난문자 서비스를 이용한다. 이 CBS 전송 기법은 일대다(One-to-Many) 방식을 이용한다. 현 CBS 프로토콜은 일종의 방송 방식으로 기지국은 긴급재난문자를 수신한 단말기로부터 어떠한 확인 메시지도 전달받지 못한다. 그러나 재난관리기관은 효율적인 재난 대응을 위하여 재난지역의 재난문자 수신자로부터 유용한 정보를 전달받을 필요가 있다. 즉 CBS 재난문자를 수신한 단말기들로부터 재난관리기관 서버로 CBS 메시지에 대한 응답 메시지를 전달받는 방식으로 유용한 정보를 취합할 수 있다. 이러한 전달방식을 위해 다대일(many-to-one) 통신 기법이 고려된다.

Short message service (SMS) is a Popular mobile data service in cellular networks. One SMS message can carry 50 Korean alphabets. Cellular operators standard and develop multimedia message service (MMS) based on P2P as color phones having multimedia solutions such as MIDI, MP3, JPG, PNG, and MPEG have been developed. MMS can be a key cash flow in the non-voice mobile revenue together with SMS. Copyrights protection of contents in a MMS message can be issued as MMS can be the popular P2P service such as MMS. In this paper, we propose MMS DRM system to protect copyrights of contents in MMS with the minimum change of MMS system. The proposed MMS DRM system protect copyrights of contents using DRM Packager, DRM Server, and DRM Agent and support various use cases to activates MMS in mobile networks.

Unlike face-to-face communication, text-based communication by digital media has limitations that non-verbal elements are eliminated and social presence decrease. To overcome this problem, people try to find solutions which visualize emotion and situation by using emoticons, icons, computer language and so on. As most SMS users experience the failure of using emotions on the mobile phone, they need to make up for this point. In this study, we conducted research on the recent mobile fonts situations and surveyed users' perception on SMS fonts as to suggest solutions of expressing and visualizing emotions on the mobile phone, a representative media of personal communication. As a solution of reducing the failure, we conducted a survey on users' perception about fonts and the capability of the expressing emotions by fonts. The survey found that mobile fonts can be used as a method to express human emotion. As a finding, the shape of the font can be used as a method to visualize the emotion through text messaging. In future studies, such a method can be applied to variety of different personal media with the communication method based on text. Those studies can propose different usage for fonts in communication.

The purpose of this study was to examine the associations of Korean older adults' use of Social Network Service (SNS) and text messages with frequency of contact with 1) non-coresident adult children, 2) siblings and relatives, or 3) friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. Data were drawn from the 2017 Survey of Living Conditions and Welfare Needs of Korean Older Persons 65+ (N=8,392), and older adults were categorized into 4 groups depending on their familiarity with use of SNS and text messages. Ordinary Least Squares regression models were estimated for analyses. Results revealed that older users of both types of communication media reported frequent exchanges of calls, text messages, etc. with both family and friends. However, using SNS and text messages was consistently related to more face-to-face contact with non-family members. To conclude, older adults' familiarity with communication media could be key to exchanges of emotional and instrumental support with informal social network members and quality of life in the community. Overall, our results highlight the importance of information communication education targeting older adults for continued involvement with their informal social network members.

본 논문은 최근 가장 이슈화 되고 있는 스미싱 위협의 방지에 대해 다루며, 단순히 스미싱 방지뿐만 아니라 탐지율 향상, 오탐률 감소를 위해 새로운 모델을 제안한다. 첫 번째 모델은 문자메시지 송/수신 시 특정 인증 값을 첨부/확인하여 정상 기관 인증을 수행하는 모델이며, 두 번째 모델은 문자메시지에 첨부된 URL을 사용자가 메시지 수신을 확인하기 전에 사전 검증하여 악성 유무를 판별하는 모델이다. 두 모델의 기본 동작 방식 제안과 설계를 통해 장점과 단점을 언급한다.

본 작품은 학생들의 캡스톤디자인 작품이다. 현대인들은 자신의 감정을 특정한 문자를 통해서 상대방에게 전달하고자 한다. 하지만, 현재 모바일 폰의 문자 메시지는 텍스트 위주의 평범한 문자를 보내기 때문에 자신의 감정을 표현하기에는 불충분하다. 따라서 본 작품은 텍스트 기반의 문자 서비스를 탈피하여 편지지와 아이콘을 활용하여 지산의 감정을 표현할 수 있는 모바일 편지 서비스 앱이다. 본 작품은 바쁜 현대인의 특성상, 자신의 필체가 악필일 경우가 많아 꺼려하고 있다. 당장 자신의 글씨를 고치기에는 시간이 부족한 경우도 많고 동시다발적으로 메시지를 전하고 싶어 하는 사람들에게 항상 지니고 있는 스마트폰으로 자신의 진심이 느껴지고 특별한 편지를 제작 하여 전송을 하고자 개발하였다.

본 논문에서는 스미싱 공격에 대해서 Host기반에 의한 탐지가 아닌 네트워크 기반에서 전자서명을 이용한 모델을 제안한다. 본 모델은 네트워크 기반에서 유입된 트래픽 중 문자 메시지를 분석하여, 문자메시지 중에서 URL이 포함된 경우 트래픽을 우회하여 라우팅을 전환시켜 URL을 포함한 문자메시지 트래픽에 대해서 별도의 망구간으로 분리를 시킨다. 별도 분리된 URL이 포함된 트래픽에 대해서 apk파일 다운로드가 없는 경우에는 통과를 시키고, apk 파일 다운로드를 시도하는 트래픽에 대해서는 전자서명을 검사후, 등록이 안되어 있는 경우 차단을 한다. 이는 기본적으로 전자서명이 되지 않은 apk파일에 대한 다운로드를 원천적으로 봉쇄함으로써 스미싱 공격에 대한 근복적인 방어를 하는 방식이다. 본 모델은 Host기반에서 발생할 수 있는 우회공격을 방지하여 스미싱 위협을 해소할 수 있다. 기존 Host기반 스미싱 방지 모델의 동작 방식과 설계를 통해 장점과 단점을 언급하고 네트워크 기반에서 전자서명을 이용한 스미싱 방어의 타당성을 증명하도록 한다.
