현재, 자동번역의 도메인은 응용 프로그램의 요구에 따라, 점차 문어체에서 대화체(spoken language)로 옮겨가고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문은 대화체가 지니는 특성을 자동번역 시스템을 구성하는 각 모듈별 및 지식 관점에서 분석하였다. 특성 분석을 기반으로 하여, 본 논문에서는 여행 영역을 대상으로 하는 대화체 자동번역시스템의 특화를 수행하였다. 대화체 자동번역을 위한 새로운 지식으로 구조화 번역메모리(Translation Memory)가 도입되었으며, 시스템을 구성하는 각 모듈별로 대화체 특화가 이루어졌다. 또한 기존의 문어체용 기구축 패턴 등이 정비되었으며, 고빈도 대화체 표현에 대한 신규 패턴이 도입되었다. 제안하는 방법의 검증을 위해 수동평가를 수행하였으며, 그 결과, 영한 대화체 자동번역에 있어서 번역률 향상이 있었다.

Using the eight-year-working diaries($1984{\sim}1991$) of the fishing co-operative in Tonggui-ri, Cheju-do, as well as the records of consignment sale in the fish trust market as the corporate body in Aewol-up, the results have been analyzed as follows. 1. The monthly catch of Turbo cornutus was high from September through December, representing $58.2\%$ of the annual total catches. The maximum sustained yield(MSY) of this stock was estimated to be 2.5 tons. 2. The maximum sustained yields of Haliotis spp. and Sulculus sp. were estimated to be 800kg and 750kg, respectively. 3. The maximum sustained yields of Stichopus sp. and Octopus sp. were 500kg and 2, 500kg, respectively. 4. The total yield of Hizikia fusiforme has been decreasing a little and that of Gelidium sp. has been increasing. The total yield of Gelidium sp. in 1984 was about 5 times greater than that in 1990. 5. The daily catchability by divers have been high at thirties, and the individual mean working day of divers was 101 per year. 6. The consignment sale rates were $100\%$ each for Turbo cornutus, Hiziki fusiforme and Gelidium sp., $25.5\%$ and $61.1\%$ for Haliotis sp. and Stichopus sp. respectively, and $0\%$ each for Sulculus sp. and Octopus sp.

Effect of electron beam irradiation on various physiological property changes of the ethanol extract from the cooking drips of Enteroctopus dofleini was investigated. The Hunter's color values of extract were increased with increasing irradiation doses. The radical scavenging activity of the extract was increased depending on the irradiation dose. The inhibitory activities against tyrosinase and angiotensin I converting enzyme were also increased with irradiation dose. It was also shown that the contents of proteins and polyphenols were increased by the irradiation. It was reasoned that the antioxidant activities were increased by proteins modified by the irradiation.

Samples were collected monthly from coastal water around Tongyeong and Sacheon in Gyeongsangnam-do, Korea, using traps. A total of 748 Octopus vulgaris were sampled from February 2007 to January 2008. Monthly changes of maturity stages and sex ratio of the common octopus were observed. Mean biomass (total wet weight) of the female specimens ranged from 129.8 to 3,381.4 g and that of the male specimens ranged from 128.6 and 2,378.4 g. The spawning periods were May to June and September. The fecundity ranged from 5,715 eggs at 252.0 g to 240,990 eggs at 3,381.4 g of total wet weight. The relationship between total wet weight (TW) and fecundity (F) was F = 26.539 $TW^{1.1548}$ ($r^2=0.8199$) and fecundity increased with total wet weight. Sex ratio was not significantly different from the 1:1 (p > 0.05).

Although seafood cooking drips were the byproducts from the fishery industry it was known that the cooking drips had many nutrients and could be used as functional materials. Previously, the physiological properties of cooking drips were shown to be increased by a gamma irradiation. But, there was no report on the safe for the genotoxicity on the irradiation. In this study, the genotoxicity of the cooking drips from Hizikia fusiformis, Enteroctopus dofleni and Thunnus thynnus was evaluated by the Ames test (Salmonella typhimurium reversion assay) and the SOS chromotest. The results from all samples were negative in the bacterial reversion assay with S. typhimurium TA98, TA100. No mutagenicity was detected in the assay, both with and without metabolic activation. The SOS chromotest also indicated that the gamma-irradiated seafood cooking drips did not show any mutagenicity. Therefore, this study indicated that gamma irradiation could be used for the hygiene, functional properties and processibility of seafood cooking drips.

본 논문은 한국어 문어변환(TTS:Text-to-Speech) 시스템내에서의 음성합성시 음질 및 자연성 개선을 위한 연구 결과이다. 합성음 평가방법으로는 한국어 발음대사전에 수록된 빈도수 순위대로 추출한 음절(V형: 19개, CV형:80개, VC형:30개, CVC형: 100개, 총 229개)을 대상으로 규칙합성시킨 1음절어(합성음절수:229개)중 음절유형별로 15개씩 총 60개 음절을 20초간 3회 반복음의 녹음 테이프를 작성한 합성음에 대하여 사전지식이 없는 임의의 그룹을 선정하여 이해도, 명료도, 잡음감, 자연성 등 4 가지 항목에 대하여 오피니온 평가를 수행한 결과를 제시하였다.

"양돈산업에 약 1조6천억이란 많은 정부 자금이 투자 되었었다. 이것은 정부가 WTO체제에 들어가면서 양돈농가가 세계와 경쟁해서 살아남기 위해서는 시설 현대화를 위해 투자해야 한다는 식의 분위기를 만들어 자금을 빌려주면서 시설투자를 부추킨 것으로 볼 수 있다. 그럼에도 정부와는 상관없이 사익을 위해 문어발 식으로 기업을 늘려왔던 몇 개인의 대기업들은 부채를 탕감해 주기도 하면서, 축산인들의 부채에 대해 정부는 냉정하다. 정부가 부추킨 일을 IMF로 경제가 잘못되자 정부는 모른 척하고 국민(축산인)에게 떠 안기려 하고 있다. 이번 연기 조치 또한 부채를 탕감해 주는 것도 아닌 유예하는 것 조차도 선별한다는 것은 이율 배반적으로 보인다"

소음 공해의 문제는 수세기에 걸쳐 지속되어왔고, 현대 사회는 인간과 기계에 의한 소음으로 조용하고 평온한 삶을 영위하기가 점점 더 힘들어지고 있다. 소음은 일반적으로 원하지 않는 소리라고 정의된다. '원하지 않는'이란 말이 소음(noise)을 물리학적인 소리(sound)와 구멸하는 것이다. 아름다운 음악도 어떤이에겐 청각적 혼돈 상태로 느껴질 수 있듯이 어떠한 주어진 소 리를 '소음'이라 서술하는 것에는 심리 음향학(psychoacoustics)적인 요소가 강하므로 소음에 대한 연구는 그저 단순한 과학이 아니지만 그럼에도 불구하고 이는 음향학에 단단히 기초하고 있고 그전문어들을 이용한다. 따라서 음향학의 기초적인 이론과 심리음향학에 대하여 간단히 살펴보고 소음의 영항과 소음 환경을 이해한 뒤, 소음의 제어에 대한 예를 보는 것으로 소음 과학에 대한 개략적인 이해를 돕고자 하는 것이 이 글의 목적이다.

가상공간에서의 정보교류가 늘어나면서 컴퓨터 통신언어도 자연어처리의 새로운 연구 분야로 등장하였다. 가장 일상화된 컴퓨터 통신어이며 인터넷상의 실시간 대화어인 채팅언어는 신속한 정보 전달 매체의 기능과 문자언어로서 정보교류와 대화 상황을 함께 내포해야 하는 문어와 구어의 양면성을 동시에 가는 언어이다. 이러한 특수성으로 컴퓨터 통신언어의 경우 발화자의 개성에 따라한 의미의 단어도 표기법이 다양하여 어휘수가 매우 많다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 통신에서 사용되는 다양한 어휘를 컴퓨터로 처리하기 위한 어휘의 유형을 체계화하는 방안을 제시한다.
