With the emerging mobile technologies, applications based on GIS are also getting more attention recently. But it is known to have some limitations in being served in different types of mobile devices and platforms. While information services are limited by data format and data exchange between platforms, the eXtensible Markup Language(XML) is getting focused as the most promising technology as the solution to such problems. Geographic Markup Language(GML) is based on XML technology and is being frequently mentioned recently as the solution to service problem on different mobile devices as well as the internet. In this study, we suggested the framework to use the GML in order to transfer and represent geographical data through the on-line or wireless platforms. We compared different application types which are currently used with GML and proposed to improve GIS services using the GML in geographical data transfer and description.

현재의 무선 인터넷 환경에서의 서비스는 HTML 계열의 CHTML, SHTML 등과 WAP 기반의 WML, 그리고 가상머신(VM) 기반에서 C 또는 Java로 구현하여 제공되고 있다. 이들 서비스 중에는 모바일 경매가 있는데 아직까지는 경매진행 과정이 Push 형태의 단문 문자 서비스(SMS)로 이루어지고 있다. 무선환경의 경매 시스템에서도 유선환경에서처럼 실시간으로 입찰자가 경매 진행 상황을 확인 할 수 있어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 무선환경에서 실시간이 지원되는 경매 시스템을 유무선 연동이 가능하도록구현하여 실시간으로 경매된 제품에 대한 입찰가격을 유선 및 무선측에서 확인 할 수 있었다. 구현은 무선 환경을 위한 Java 2 플랫폼인 J2ME와 데스크탑 환경을 위한 J2SE 기반으로 이루어 졌다. 또한 구현된 시스템의 성능을 사용자 접속 수에 따른 처리지연시간과 데이터베이스 연결풀 크기 변화에 따른 시스템의 처리시간 등의 평가 항목을 대상으로 각각 분석하였다.

무선망과 인터넷 초고속화와 함께 비디오 스트리밍, 모바일 방송, IPTV 등 통방융합 환경에서의 비디오를 중심으로 한 멀티미디어 콘텐츠 서비스가 보편화되고 있다. 이러한, 이종의 접속망과 다양한 성능의 단말이 혼재하는 융합 콘텐츠 소비환경에서 스마트폰, Tablet PC, IPTV 등 다양한 단말기에서 비디오, 음악, 게임, 데이터 등의 콘텐츠를 끊김 없이 이용할 수 있는 서비스를 일반적으로 N-Screen 서비스라고 한다. 이렇게 단말간의 이동성을 제공하기 위해서는 다양한 플랫폼 형태에 따른 N-Screen 서비스 표준화가 필요하다. 또한, 다양한 스마트 스크린간의 끊김 없는 서비스 이용이 가능한 송수신 기술 및 네트워크 자원을 활용하는 서비스들과 인터넷 기반의 서비스들 간의 상호 연계를 위한 기술들의 표준화가 계속 진행되어야 한다. 본고에서는 이러한 차세대 네트워크 환경에서 N-Screen을 위한 플랫폼과 플랫폼 형태에 따른 N-Screen 서비스 분류에 대해 살펴본다.

인터넷 발전과 더불어 네트워크 규모가 커지면서 효과적인 네트워크 관리의 필요성이 대두되었고 네트워크 관리자의 역할이 매우 중요한 부분을 차지하게 되었다. 웹 기반 네트워크 관리시스템은 관리를 위해 네트워크가 연결된 PC를 통해서만 관리행위를 할 수 있는데 무선인터넷이 발진하면서 무선 단말기 플랫폼 상에서 네트워크의 관리를 가능하게 하는 네트워크 관리 시스템의 구현이 가능하게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 국제 표준 무선 인터넷 기술인 WAP과 클라이언트의 요청 없이 데이터전송이 가능한 WAP 푸시 기술을 통해 긴급장애 발생에 대처하는 기능을 제공함으로써 네트워크 관리자에게 이동성을 부여하여 신속하고 효율적인 네트워크 관리를 가능하게 하는 WAP기반 네트워크관리 시스템의 설계에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

Korean university libraries has lead the advancement of library service by adopting state-of-art technology for the improvement of information service provision, which therefore contributes to the consolidation of the status of the library as a center of information circulation among related institutions. This paper examines the current conditions of wireless internet service provided by the university libraries. First, it takes 'WDL mobile campus consortium', which is an organized movement with many university libraries involved, and explores their major issues such as wireless internet service environment, platform components, service components and functions, user environment and usage. Finally, this paper makes suggestions for the continuous advancement of the university libraries' wireless services.

무선인터넷을 활용한 전자상거래로서 전 세계적으로 큰 폭의 성장을 보일 것으로 예상되며, 모바일 전자상거래(M-Commerce)는 무선인터넷을 이용한 서비스는 무궁무진하다. 그러나 효율적인 모바일 전자상거래를 위해서는 전자상거래 플랫폼에서 모바일 컨텐츠를 효과적으로 제작할 수 있는 환경을 고려하여야 하며 컴포넌트 기술이 그 대안으로 대두된다. 본 논문에서는 모바일 전자상거래(M-Commerce)에 필수적으로 요구되는 기능사항들을 컴포넌트 기술로서 구현하기 용이하도록 설계하였다.

기존의 지역정보, 교통정보 서비스 시스템은 직접 PC 를 통해 인터넷에 접속하여 정보를 사용자에게 제공하고 있다. 그러나 무선 인터넷이 보급됨에 따라 PC 가 아닌 휴대용 단말 장치로 서버에 접속할 수 있게 되었다. 실제로 PC 를 사용할 수 없는 지역에서도 필요한 지역정보나 교통정보를 모바일 단말장치를 통하여 얻을 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 SK 텔레콤이 XCE(eXtended Computing Environment)와 공동 개발한 무선인터넷 서비스 플랫폼인 SK-VM 이 가지는 장점을 최대한 이용하고, 데이터베이스와 모바일간의 데이터 전송방식을 이용하여 아직까지 상용화되고 있지 많은 무선 인터넷 서비스인 모바일 지역정보, 교통정보 서비스 시스템을 구현, 개발하는데 중점을 두었다.

본 논문에서는 WiBro 및 이종망간의 이동성을 지원하는 Convergence 단말용 플랫폼을 제안한다. MIPv6과 MIH(802.21) 모듈 그리고 Unified network controller 모듈이 결합된 구조의 플랫폼으로 Ipv6 기반 이종망 사이에서의 이동성을 제공할 수 있다. 제안된 플랫폼 모듈은 향후 WiBro, WCDMA, HSDPA 등과 같은 차세대 무선 인터넷 서비스 환경에서 Communication, Data, Media 등 무선 Convergence 서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

이동통신사의 다양한 플랫폼은 콘텐츠 개발회사의 다중개발에 의한 경제적 손실을 발생시키고 경쟁력약화로 이어져 다양한 콘텐츠 개발에 집중하지 못하고 있는 문제점을 안고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 기존의 무선인터넷 플랫폼 환경을 WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform (or Interoperability) 라는 모바일 표준 플랫폼으로 표준화하게 되었다. WIPI 표준 플랫폼은 다운로드에 의한 DLL(Dynamic Linking Library)을 지원함에 따라 무선망을 통해 동적으로 API (Application Programming Interface)를 추가/갱신하는 기능을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 메모리 사용을 최소화 및 최적화하여 성능을 개선한 콘텐츠 뷰어를 개발하고, 이를 통해 동적 API 추가 및 갱신 모듈을 구현함으로써 효율적인 WIPI 콘텐츠 제작 환경을 제공하고자 한다.

As wireless internet market grows rapidly in recent years, demands of various contents in wireless internet is significantly being increased. XHTML with extensibility that can support many kinds of internet web clients and platforms is established in world-wide standards of markup language. XHTML reforming HTML4 in XML 1.0 is recognized that It is the heart of the technology to integrate existing contents and increase the interoperability in wired and wireless internet. XHTML Basic for wireless internet are based on the XHTML. In this paper, we design and implement an document editor for XHTML Basic.'rho wireless internet document editor supports CSS creation that users can display XHTML Basic documents as they want. It also supports WYSIWYG editing that user4 inn make out them without difficulty.
