최근 인터넷 시장의 가장 큰 이슈는 무선환경과 컨텐츠의 유료화 움직임이다. 다양한 모바일 컨텐츠들이 무선인터넷을 지원하는 단말기의 보급과 더불어 빠른 성장세를 보이고 있다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 무선 인터넷 환경에 적합한 각 무선 응용프로토콜르이 보안을 고려한 보안 메커니즘을 설계하며, WAP, ME및 i-Mode방식에 대한 보안 요구사항을 분석한다. 또한, 향후 IMT2000에서도 사용 가능한 상업용 모바일 서비스 플랫폼을 검토하고, 표준화가 진행중인 자바모바일 서비스 플랫폼을 기반으로 하는 J2ME 기술인 CLDC와 MIDP를 이용해서 M-Commerce 환경에서 사용되어질 보안 플랫폼을 제시한다. 본 논문의 결과는 향후 활성화될 M-Commerce의 안전한 응용서비스 제공을 위한 보안 플랫폼 구현의 기반이 될 것으로 기대된다.

현재 국내의 모바일 플랫폼 기술은 세계 최고이지만, 3개의 이동통신 사업자를 중심으로 다수 플랫폼이 경합을 벌이고 있으며, 이로 인해 컨텐츠 개발자들은 하나의 컨텐트를 다수의 플랫폼용으로 개발해야 하는 부담이 증가하고 있다. 이에 컨텐츠 프로바이더와 이동통신 3사의 요구에 의해 새로운 표준 플랫폼의 개발이 진행되고 있다. 본 고에서는 모바일 플랫폼의 개념 및 국내외 현황을 분석하고, 한국 무선 인터넷 표준화 포럼에서 진행 중인 모바일 플랫폼 표준화 현황을 살펴본다.

Cellular operators develop high speed mobile internet and multi-function cellular phones to activate new business model based on mobile internet services. Domestic cellular operators evolve their mobile networks from cdma2000-1x and EvDo to HSDPA to activate high speed mobile internet services. They also develop mobile internet platforms such as WIPI, BREW, and J2ME on multi-function cellular phones having multimedia solutions such as camera, MP3, MPEG, 3D game engine, DMB, PAN such as bluetooth, IrDA, W-LAN, and location information using GPS. But, content providers have problems of redevelopment of the same mobile internet application on different mobile internet platforms provided by cellular operators. In this paper, we develop conversion solutions for interoperability of mobile internet applications on WIPI and BREW using an one-pass compiler. We confirm the performance the proposed conversion solutions for the API conversion rate, the converted file size, and the full conversion time using the popular mobile games which are the killer applications on WiPI and BREW.

For the easiness of maintenance and compensation. this paper attempts to design a Wireless internet Contents converter for integrate wired and wireless platform which automatically converts to WML and C-HTML through analysis of HTML document.

초기의 이동통신 서비스는 음성 위주였으나, 현재에 와서는 음성뿐만 아니라, 무선 인터넷, 게임, 위치, 동영상, 전자상거래, 모바일 오피스 등의 다양한 무선 인터넷 서비스에 대한 비중이 점점 더 커지고 있다. 이에 따라 다양한 서비스 아이디어를 신속히 제공하기 위한 개방형 무선 애플리케이션 플랫폼에 대한 요구가 커지자, 자바, BREW, stinger, SIM toolkit 등의 다양한 애플리케이션 플랫폼들이 등장하게 되었고, 비동기 표준 단체인 3GPP에서는 이들 현재 기술들을 바탕으로 한 모바일 애플리케이션 실행 환경인 MExE를 제안하고 있다. 본고에서는 무선 데이터 서비스 애플리케이션 플랫폼에 대한 이동통신 사업자의 입장과 각 요소 기술을 살펴보고자 한다.

1990년대에는 유선 인터넷 기반의 IT기술이 주류를 이루었지만 2000년대는 무선 인터넷 기반의 IT 기술이 주류를 이루고 있다. 21세기의 무선 인터넷 환경은 유선 인터넷 환경과 다르게 다양한 무선 플랫폼과 정보 표현 도구를 사용하고 있어서, 중복 개발에 따른 개발 비용의 증가, 이기종 플랫폼간의 콘텐츠 공유가 어렵다는 등의 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 이런 문제들을 해결하기 위하여 무선 플랫폼의 표준화와 모바일 브라우저와 같은 정보 표현도구 표준화에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 SVG 및 Mobile SVG를 이용하여 유 무선 인터넷을 동시에 지원하며, 수정 가능한 새로운 형태의 아바타 시스템을 제안 한다.

Recently, wireless technology is widely used with mobile phone like Handhold terminal, PDA. The technology in internet is moving into wireless internet. The mobile platform technology is especially important as well as internet world. In this paper, commercial mobile products are described and standardization trends are also shown for the new future platform development. M-commerce application service is possible to spread over the mobile platform.

XCE는 지난 2000년 3월 SK텔레콤의 사내벤처 1호로 자바 기반의 무선인터넷 솔루션 전문 업체다. 이 회사는 지난해 이스라엘 펠레폰사에 자바 기반 무선인터넷 플랫폼과 콘텐츠를 공급하면서 업계의 주목을 받기 시작했고, 지난해 말에는 SK텔레콤과 함께 대만 APBW사에 자바 플랫폼 및 콘텐츠 공급계약을 체결, 성공적으로 해외시장에 진출하고 있다. "세계 최고의 무선인터넷 솔루션 업체를 만드는 것이 꿈"이라고 당찬 포부를 밝히고 있는 XCE 김주혁(39) 사장을 만났다.

무선통신망의 망고도화로 3세대 이동통신 서비스가 개시됨에 따라 소비자들은 다양한 서비스와 콘텐츠를 제공받을 수 있게 되었다. 현재의 모바일 무선인터넷은 네트워크를 소유하고 있는 이동통신사들이 사실상 전권을 행사하고 있어 폐쇄적 성격이 짙다. 하지만, 작년 Google이 개방형 모바일 플랫폼 "안드로이드"를 공개한데 이어, 최근 LGT의 무선인터넷서비스 "OZ"의 런칭으로 무선인터넷 활성화에 대한 기대감이 높아지고 있다. 기존의 무선인터넷 산업에 대한 연구는 선형적인 가치사슬에 기반하여 해석되었기 때문에, 복잡한 네트워크로 진화해가는 해당 산업에 대한 명확한 분석을 할 수가 없었다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 가치네트워크 개념을 도입하여 모바일 플랫폼의 개방이 이동통신 가치네트워크에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구한다.
