In accordance with evolution of next-generation mobile Internet, 2G, 3G, 4G, and B4G mobile communication wireless access networks will be co-existed and service providers will be merged as an integrated service provider. In addition, multiple virtual service operators will appear. In order to provide complicated unified-services, in the future Internet, wireless network virtualization where network resource is shared by various service operators is necessary. Therefore, in this paper, we investigate network architectures and virtualization scenarios for wireless access network virtualization where various wireless access technologies are flexibly operated by multiple service providers over next-generation wireless access networks. We expect that the virtualization scenario and network architecture yielded from this study can play a role as a basis for development of wireless access network virtualization algorithms.

액세스망 기술 분야는 초고속 정보통신 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 유·무선 전달 매체 처리기술, 액세스망 구성 방식 기술, 기존 인프라를 이용하는 고도의 DSL기술 등이 복합되어 사업자의 망 구축 여건에 따라 다양한 형태로 실현되고 있다. MAIN1)은 기존 동선상에서 전화 및 데이터 서비스는 물론 광대역서비스 제공을 위해 VDSL기술을 채용하며, 망 구성방식으로는 ATM/SDH 또는 ATM/PON 기반으로 FTTx 방식의 통합 액세스망 플랫폼이다. 그러나 액세스망은 다수 망사업자와 서비스사업자 환경과 공중망과 사설망이 혼재하며, 새로운 요소기술이 복합되는 망 영역이므로 소요장치의 OAM 뿐만 아니라 망관리에 대한 체계적인 OA&M이 요구되고 있다. 액세스망의 OA&M은 비용 효과적인 액세스망 실현과 실제 망 운용비용과는 상호 상반된 관점을 가진다. 본 논문은 다양한 형태의 액세스망에 대해 통합 관점의 망 관리와 시스템 관리를 위한 체계적인 OA&M 정립을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 통합 엑세스망 플랫폼에 대한 망관리 설계 접근 방법 및 고려사항에 대해 논하고, MAIN의 관리 구조 모델을 제시한다. 또한 MAIN 하드웨어 구조에서 NEL 시스템의 운용관리 및 소요기술에대한 OAM 기능과 망관리 기능 구현을 통하여 MAIN 엑세스망의 OA&M 실현 구조를 조명 함으로서 관련 액세스망 OA&M 구현 시 기본 참조 모델로 제안한다.

In this paper, we propose a wireless access network virtualization algorithm based on a digital unit (DU)-radio unit (RU) separated network structure in a cellular network with multiple radio access technologies (RATs). The proposed wireless access network virtualization algorithm consists of a baseline access network virtualization, RAT virtualization, and access path migration algorithms. Final wireless access network virtualization is performed by sequentially performing these procedures. Through system-level simulations which assume 3GPP LTE and WiMAX systems, the performance of the proposed wireless access network virtualization is evaluated in terms of system throughput for two scenarios according to asymmetry of network traffic load. Numerical results show that our proposed wireless access network virtualization algorithm achieves significant system throughput gain even in asymmetric traffic load and user distribution situations.

본 논문은 유선통신망의 ATM기술을 무선통신망에 적용한 무선 멀티미디어 액세스 환경에서 패킷에러율 및 처리율등 전송성능을 개선하기 위한 통합에러제어 구조를 제안하였다. 음성, 데이터, 영상 등의 등시성 멀티미디어 트래픽을 처리해야 하는 무선 멀티미디어 네트워크에서는 트래픽별로 QoS(Quality of Service) 목표치가 다르므로 트래픽 속성에 상관없이 일괄적으로 성능개선기법들을 적용하는 것은 또 다른 성능저하 현상을 초래한다. 대표적인 멀티미디어 네트워크인 ATM 네트워크인 경우 트래픽 속성상 CBR(Constant Bit Rate) 및 랜덤트래픽은 지연에 매우 민감하며 VBR(Variable Bit Rate) 트래픽은 어느 정도의 지연은 허용되나 데이터 전송시 매우 높은 신뢰도를 필요로 한다. 이러한 배경에서 ATM을 기반으로 하는 무선 멀티미디어 네트워크 액세스 환경에서 트래픽별 QoS 속성을 만족시킬 수 있는 통합 에러제어 구조를 제시한 후 FEC, ARQ, 인터리빙, 버퍼용량등의 적용방안을 제시하였다.

Next generation telematics technology, offering new and diverse multimedia service by connecting car and wireless access network, has been presented with promising industry. Telematics technology was simply to monitor and control the in-vehicle devices and to navigate the road in the early days but nowadays, telematics technology has provided the mobile internet access service, LBS service, agent rescue service and multimedia service to us using connection of wireless access network. In this paper, telematics mobile platform architecture is proposed for service promotion and efficiency.

본 논문에서는 3세대 이동망과 무선랜과의 핸드오버 지원을 위한 방안을 제안한다. MAP 기반 3세대 이동망과 무선랜과의 인터네트워킹 구조의 수직적 핸드오버 방안을 고려한다. 본 논문에서는 또란 네트워크 자원 사용을 고려한 핸드오버 방안을 고려한다.

In this paper, we design the radio interface protocols of wideband Wireless Local Loop(WLL) that uses wideband Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA), and propose the random access procedures on access channel and analyze the performance of the channel. The structure of radio interface protocols are designed by three modular parts to meet the requirements of IMT-2000 : radio resource controlling part that depends on the radio resources, connection controlling part that is independent of the radio resources, and application part that supports the interface between different parts and user terminals. In addition, we propose the random access procedures on access channel and analyze the performance of the channel. We assume that both near-far effect and shadow fading can be compensated by open loop power control. We observe that the number of access probes(delay) depend on the initial mobile transmission power and power increment, and the poor estimation of initial mobile transmission power might increase the average number of access probes.

무선 데이터 서비스를 통한 사용자의 급속한 증가는 이동 단말의 증가 및 멀티미디어 응용이 가능한 이동 장치의 성능 증가, 높은 데이터율의 무선 액세스 기술 등 다양한 환경을 변화시켰다. 본 연구에서는 IP 이동망에서의 종단 사용자(End-User)의 서비스 보장을 위해 QoS(Quality of Service) 제어 메커니즘을 분석하여 QoS 정책 관리 구조를 제안하였다. 이 구조는 유선과 IP 이동망과의 복합적인 네트워크에서의 사용자 정책 기반 통합 지원 구조로 구성되며, 해당 자원에 대한 서비스를 구분하여 사용자 정책을 관리하며, 팀 이동망을 고려하여 단위 네트워크의 QoS 관리 서버를 중하여 종단 사용자의 QoS 정책을 관리하게 된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 구조는 종단 사용자 정책을 관리하는데 있어 응용 서비스 고유의 특성을 보장하며 사용자 정책에 따른 서비스 자원을 통함 관리할 수 있다.

In this paper, we propose the ATM based Passive Optical Network (PON) using the optical CDMA scheme with optical switches and PN codes in time domain. We also propose the bipolar optical receiving correlator for PN codes. As optical CDMA is performed by driving directly an optical switch on-off switching with PN codes, the number of distinct code sequences can be increased and the flexibility in assigning PN codes can be improved. Finally we theoretically analyze the signal-to-interference -plus-noise ratio and the bit error probability of regenerated signal and compare the performance of proposed scheme compared with ATM based PON using conventional optical CDMA with optical delay lines.

유선망, 무선망, 통신 방송 융합 등이 이루어진 BcN망은 기존 접속망을 통한 보안성 위협이 나타날 수 있으며, 특히 개방형 망구조로 인해 쉴게 액세스가 용이하므로 공격을 받을 가능성이 높다. 따라서 서비스를 이용하는 사용자들의 개인 프라이버시 유출 위험이 존재하므로, 신뢰성 보장 및 접근 정보의 보호를 지원해주어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 네트워크에서 안전한 개인정보보호를 위한 프라이버시 보호방안을 제안하고 있다.
