A Coexistence Study of Low-power Short-range Wireless Network and Incumbent Service in the 6GHz band (6GHz 비면허 대역의 저전력 근접 무선통신과 기존 무선업무와의 공존 연구)

  • It has recently been noticed that the headway of unlicensed wireless technology is necessary as user's demands of wireless tech increase and the development of high-speed data service by using low-power short-range wireless network is needed. Hence, it is inevitable to study sharing and coexistence for broadband spectrum of diverse unlicensed application with wide bandwidth. In this paper, an interference examination between unlicensed WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) in the 6GHz and OB (Outside Broadcasting) system which is an incumbent service in the same frequency band was conducted and it suggests separation distance for the coexistence. Thus, MCL (Minimum Coupling Loss) and MC (Monte Carlo) methods were used to set up interference scenarios for the interference analysis and compute the separation distance between two systems according to the same frequency band and frequency separation.

Interference Effect of Microwave Oven Noise to Wireless LAN Using a GTEM Cell (GTEM Cell을 이용한 전자레인지 잡음이 무선 랜에 미치는 간섭 영향 분석)

  • In this paper, we proposed the method of the interference evaluation between the microwave oven noise and the wireless LAN(Local Area Network) by using the GTEM cell. We used microwave oven noise in time to assess the interference unintentional noise effects on wireless LAN and realized by combining an AM(Amplitude Modulation) modulator and a FM(frequency Modulation) modulator. Also the GTEM cell can be used to guarantee the reliability by the evaluations of the frequency and time responses. As measurement results for the APD(Amplitude Probability Distribution) of the interfering noise we analyzed the effect of microwave oven noise to the throughput of wireless LAN.

  • 3GPP long-term evolution(LTE) band 2.3~2.4 GHz is adjacent to 2.4~2.5 GHz band for WLAN, and therefore compatibility study of the two systems is desirable. We propose a dynamic system simulation methodology to investigate the effect of WLAN interference on LTE systems. As capturing space/time/frequency changes in system parameters, the dynamic system simulation can exactly predict real system performance. Using the proposed methodology, we obtain LTE downlink throughput loss for the frequency separation between the two systems. Throughput loss under 1 % is obtained from guard band over 11 MHz(single channel allocation) or 10 MHz(three channel allocation).

  • 직접 확산 부호 분할 다원 접속 (Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access : DS-CDMA) 시스템과 시분할 다원 접속 (Time Division Multiple Access : TDMA) 시스템을 동일 주파수 대역에서 중첩되어 전송할 때 DS-CDMA 신호에서의 TDMA 신호의 협대역 간섭이 문제된다. 본 논문에서는 DS-CDMA 신호의 협대역 간섭(narrowband interference : NI)를 제거하는 방법으로서 노치필터를 이용해서 협대역 간섭파 제거법을 제안하고, 간섭제거기(CCI canceller)를 이용해서 다중접속간섭을 제거하여 DS-CDMA 신호의 성능을 개선한다. 본 논문은 잡음, 다중접속 간섭 및 협대역 간섭환경에서 DS-CDMA 신호와 TDMA 신호의 주파수 공용 시스템에 적용할 때의 성능을 분석하였다.

  • 블루투스는 근거리 무선 인터페이스를 통만 음성 및 데이터의 전송서비스를 지원하는 통신 프로토콜이다. 블루트스와 IEEE802.11 기기들은 동일 주파수대역을 사용하므로, 간섭이 발생하고 이러만 간섭 현상은 각 기기들의 성능을 저하시킨다. 그래서, 된 논문에서 블루투스 기기를 통한 각 기기들의 Power control로 간섭문제를 완화시키는 방안을 제안한다.

  • Many efficient frequency sharing methods are issued in present because of increasing users with various wireless communication terminals. In the satellite communications, the service coverage is generally very wide so frequency sharing with terrestrial system is essentially needed, and the research is progressing dynamically related on this frequency sharing method. But if we adopt the terrestrial system which is commonly used, it can't avoid the interference from terrestrial service to satellite service. Therefore, this paper will introduce methods for reducing the interference from terrestrial station to earth station using cognitive radio system Satellite system is guaranteed with decreasing interference from terrestrial stations using Genetic Algorithm based power control method. Furthermore, terrestrial systems can have increased QoS because the frequency reuse factor in proposed method is higher than existing methods.

  • Theoretical modelling and computational results for frequency coordination are presented over mobile base station and fixed wireless systems in urban or sub-urban area. Computational results with key parameters needed for interference analysis are performed and discussed in terms of system characteristics, propagation model, protection ratio, frequency dependent rejection, and discrimination angle with signal-interference plane. Based upon minimum coupling loss methodology, calculated interference powers of victim receiver for assumed system parameters are compared with maximum allowable interference power derived from protection ratio as functions of discrimination angle and distance including height-gain model in urban or sub-urban area. The proposed method is applicable for technical analysis on co-existence or interoperability for the various wireless systems, mandatory for frequency coordination or reallocation process.

  • 본 고에서는 전력선통신 기술동향을 분석하고 국내 기술기준에서 어떻게 규제를 받는지 분석하였다. 전력선통신은 초기에 전기 이용기기의 원격 제어용으로 비교적 적은 데이터를 송수신하는데 이용되었다. 그러나 광대역 통신 요구에 따라서 전력선을 이용한 고속 전력선모뎀 기술이 개발되어 인터넷 등과 같은 고속 데이터 통신을 할 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 전력선통신은 기존 전선로를 사용하므로 높은 주파수의 신호를 전송하면 전파 방사에 의해서 다른 무선설비에 영향을 줄 수 있다. 현재 30MHz 이하의 대역을 사용하고 있으나 이 대역은 해상, 항공 등 인명 안전을 위한 중요 통신에서 이용하고 있다. 그러므로 전력선모뎀이 기존 무선설비에 간섭을 주지 않으면서 주파수 대역을 공유하기 위해서는 간섭을 최소화할 수 있는 spread spectrum이나 OFDM과 같은 기술을 활용해서 설계되어야 한다. 이미 이러한 기술들을 활용한 전력선 모뎀이 상용화되어 있으며 옥내 뿐 만 아니라 옥외까지 용도를 확장하기 위해서 간섭 완화기술 및 방법 등이 활발히 연구되고 있다. 본 고에서는 전력선통신의 고속화를 위한 기술 동향 및 간섭 완화 방법 기술을 분석하고, 구현된 시스템이 다른 무선설비와 간섭 없이 사용될 수 있도록 규정하고 있는 관련 기술기준을 분석하였다.

Interference Avoidance Technology in Cognitive Based MB-OFDM UWB System (인지 기반 MB-OFDM UWB 시스템에서의 간섭 회피 기술)

  • CR technology is an intelligent technology which can sense the spectrum environment an adaptively adjust the parameters for wireless transmission. In this paper, by using CR-UWB, the spectrum efficiency of the transmission channel is largely improved; Furthermore, the interference to other system can be effectively avoided. In this paper, we propose a solution on interference problem of UWB system using cognitive radio. We use interference temperature model of cognitive radio that has proposed by FCC for estimating interference signal. Calculating channel capacity of UWB system with interference temperature, we suggest how to solve interference problem. We have used genetic algorithm in cognitive engine's calculation precess. The proposed UWB System with cognitive radio shows very efficient in solving interference problem.
