A Study on Frequency Coordination between the Same or Different Wireless Systems based upon Minimum Coupling Loss (최소결합손실 기반의 동종 또는 이종 무선시스템 간의 주파수 조정에 대한 연구)

  • Theoretical modelling and computational results for frequency coordination are presented based upon minimum coupling loss regarding the same or different wireless systems. Essential parameters involved in frequency coordination are discussed in view of system characteristics, propagation model, availability and protection ratio, frequency dependent rejection or adjacent channel interference ratio, discrimination angle, and its computational results are also evaluated. To illustrate frequency coordination procedure, received interference power between fixed wireless system of victim and mobile base station of interferer are analyzed in urban or sub-urban area and also compared with maximum allowable interference power as functions of discrimination angle and distance for assumed system parameters. The proposed method will play a practical role in technical analysis on co-existence or interoperability for the various wireless systems needed for frequency coordination.

  • Available electric wave resources have been limited than frequency demands that increase with the development of radio communication. According to FCC's (Federal Communication Commission) report, 70% of allocated spectrum was unused. This means that the lack phenomenon of electronic wave resources is ineffectively managed compare with the finiteness of frequency resources. According to the recognition of unused frequency within allocated band, this progress has been investigating to identify the unused TV channel and provide radio communication services. This paper proposed the sensing algorithm that efficiently recognizes the frequency resources which does not use and shares with the licensed user through using the multi-band CIC (Cascaded Integrator Comb) filter based on polyphase filter bank. The simulation results verifies that the proposed scheme can obtain the similar performance of variance and relatively low complexity to the existing scheme.

  • Many efficient frequency sharing methods are issued in present because of increasing users with various wireless communication terminals. In the satellite communications, the service coverage is generally very wide so frequency sharing with terrestrial system is essentially needed, and the research is progressing dynamically related on this frequency sharing method. But if we adopt the terrestrial system which is commonly used, it can't avoid the interference from terrestrial service to satellite service. Therefore, this paper will introduce methods for reducing the interference from terrestrial station to earth station using cognitive radio system Satellite system is guaranteed with decreasing interference from terrestrial stations using Genetic Algorithm based power control method. Furthermore, terrestrial systems can have increased QoS because the frequency reuse factor in proposed method is higher than existing methods.

Optimal Price and Auction Period Decision Method Based on Auction Game Theory for Spectrum Allocation in Cognitive Radio Networks (인지무선 주파수 분배 과정에서 옥션게임을 이용한 최적 가격 및 옥션 주기 결정 방법)

  • Cognitive radio technology gives secondary users chances that they can use specific spectrum of the primary user when the primary user doesn't use it. This paper proposes the algorithm that maximizes the benefit of the primary user considering spectrum price and auction period by using the auction game theory. According to the ratio of spectrum that secondary users bid, primary user allocates spectrum to secondary users. In the process of repeated auction, the primary user gets to find the optimal price of spectrum. Using the price and the proposed utility function of primary user, we derive the optimal auction period. At the same time, the primary user finally determines the price of spectrum appropriate for the optimal period.

  • The clock frequency difference of sensor nodes is one of main parameters in TOF estimation and affect to degrade ranging algorithms to estimate positions of mobile nodes in wireless sensor networks. The specification of IEEE802.15.4a describes asynchronous TWR and SDS-TWR insensitive to frequency difference without any additional network synchronization. But the TWR and SDS-TWR can not eliminate sufficiently the effect of frequency difference of node pair, packet processing delay and its difference. Especially use of low cost oscillator with wide range offset, sensor node with different hardware and software can make the positioning errors worse. We propose an estimation method of frequency differences, and apply the measured frequency differences to TWR and SDS-TWR. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm with simulation, and make certain that the proposed method enhances the performance of existing algorithms with positioning errors less than 25 cm.

  • UWB 무선기술은 초광대역 특성에 의한 높은 전송속도와 기존의 무선장치들과 상호 간섭영향 없이 주파수를 공유하여 사용할 수 있다는 장점 때문에 새로운 방식의 근거리 무선통신 기술로 급부상되고 있다. 특히 IEEE802.15.3에서 UWB 무선기술을 WPAN으로 사용하기 위한 표준화 작업이 진행되고 있어 현재 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 IEEE802.11 및 Bluetooth 장치와 향후 실내 환경에서 공존할 가능성이 매우 높아지고 있으며 이에 따른 장치 상호간 간섭영향 평가가 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 2.4 GHz 대역 IEEE 802.11b 무선랜 장치를 사용하는 실내 환경에서 UWB 무선장치가 공존할 경우 무선랜 장치의 Packet Failure Rate 및 Throughput 측정을 통해 UWB 신호가 무선랜 장치에 미치는 간섭영향을 분석하였다.

  • This paper suggests the data transmission technology for applying to the actual railway line based on the technological trends and theories for the wireless Mesh techniques. This paper presents a technical basis that is applicable to the economic and efficient use of frequency and to the development of a Communication Based Train Control System by demonstrating its Applicability, Availability, Reliability and Safety for the train control system of the radio frequency of the bandwidth of 5.7 GHz at the experiments.

  • 적외선 무선 통신을 이용한 가전기기의 무선 제어는 신호를 증폭하거나 장거리로 제어 신호를 전송할 수 없고, 제어신호가 물리적인 장벽을 투과하지 못하므로 사용자의 이용에 많은 제한이 있다. 또한 무선 주파수(Radio Frequency)를 이용하여 제어 신호를 전송하면 적외선이 가지는 이러한 단점을 해결할 수 있으나 서로 다른 주파수 대역을 사용하므로 호환성과 확장성이 부족하다. 이러한 점을 극복하기 위하여 단거리 무선통신 규약인 블루투스를 이용한 가전기기 원격 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 가택이나 사무실에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 가전기기(오디오)를 대상으로 제어용 클라이언트(Wall plate)와 이로부터 제어신호를 수신하여 가전기기를 제어하는 메인 컨트롤러의 무선 제어 시스템을 제안하고 그 구현을 소개한다.

  • In this paper, we discuss frequency allocation and sharing for high speed radio access network in domestic 5㎓ the band. In order to evaluate the possibility of frequency sharing between meterological radar and high speed radio access network we analyses radio interference of meterological radar by means of minimum coupling loss method and Monte Carlo simulation And simulations show that it is necessary to use DFS(Dynamic Frequency Selection) scheme for frequency sharing between meterological radar and high speed radio access network.
