A novel inductive resonator for the implementation of wireless power transfer using resonant inductive coupling is presented. The proposed inductive resonator is much smaller than the helix shape resonator suggested by MIT research team but operates the same resonant frequency with comparable wireless power transfer efficiency. The proposed inductive resonator is a spiral shape ($1,696cm^3$), which is 97 % smaller than the helix shape ($59,376cm^3$). The wireless power transfer efficiency is less than 9 % when compared to the helix shape resonator. With the reduce size and comparable efficiency, this novel inductive resonator can be used in practical application of wireless power transfer.

본 논문에서는 직렬-직렬(SS) 보상 구조를 가지는 양방향 무선전력전송 시스템의 비통신 전력전송 제어 방법에 대해 소개한다. 또한 2차단에서의 전력 전달 제어에 1차단의 위상의 필요함을 보이며, 이를 도출하기 위한 20kHz 전류 센싱 방법에 대해서 다룬다. 시뮬레이션과 실험 파형을 통해 소개한 제어 변수와 고주파수 전류 신호 센싱의 방법의 타당성을 증명하였다.

This paper describes a transmission power control method for power saving in 802.11b wireless LANs. We have first explored how much effects reducing transmission power has on communication performance. Then we propose a power control algorithm, whose approach is similar to that of TCP congestion control, determining an appropriate transmission power level by monitoring the retransmission rate. We have implemented an utility software on a Linux-based system and made several experiments to validate the proposed method. The results show that it is possible to save energy consumption by controlling transmission power without sacrificing communication performance.

태양 에너지 수집형 무선 센서 네트워크는 지속해서 에너지를 수집할 수 있어 배터리 기반 센서 네트워크의 에너지 제약 문제를 완화할 수 있지만, 고정된 싱크의 사용으로 싱크 주변에 존재하는 노드들이 상대적으로 에너지 소비가 증가하는 문제, 즉 에너지 사용 불균형 문제는 해결하지 못한다. 최근의 연구에서는 클러스터링을 기반으로 한 모바일 싱크를 도입하여 이를 해결하고자 했지만, 클러스터 헤드 및 그 주변 노드들의 에너지 부담은 여전히 존재한다. 한편, 무선 전력 전송 기술 발전에 따라 무선 센서 네트워크에서 모바일 싱크를 이용한 무선 전력 전송의 연구가 활발히 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 무선 전력 전송이 가능한 모바일 싱크와 효율적인 클러스터링 기법(클러스터 헤드 선출 포함)을 이용하여 에너지 불균형 문제를 최소화하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 클러스터 헤드 및 헤드 주변 노드의 에너지 핫 스팟이 완화됨으로, 전체 네트워크의 정전 노드들이 감소하고 수집된 데이터양이 증가한 것을 성능평가를 통해 확인할 수 있다.

SiC 기반의 전력용 반도체 소자들은 스위칭 속도가 빠르고 높은 차단 전압을 가져 dv/dt가 크다. 중전압 이상에서 게이트 드라이버에 절연된 전원 공급을 하기 위해 소형 변압기가 사용된다. 하지만 변압기의 1, 2 차 권선 사이에 수십 pF 이상의 기생 커패시턴스가 존재하며, 높은 전압을 고속으로 스위칭 하게 될 경우 기생 커패시턴스를 통해 제어부로 공통 모드 전류가 흘러 오작동을 야기할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 변압기를 대체하여 무선전력전송 코일을 이용한 게이트 드라이버용 절연된 전원공급 장치를 제안한다. 무선전력전송 코일 사이의 거리를 수 mm 이상 이격시켜 코일 사이의 기생 커패시턴스를 1 pF 이하로 줄이고 높은 절연 특성을 가질 수 있다. 무선전력 전송의 공진 토폴로지는 직렬-병렬을 선택했고, 2 MHz에서 높은 효율을 갖도록 I-core 코일을 2.2cm × 1.5cm × 1.7cm으로 제작해 검증했다.

In this study, we propose a suitable magnetic resonant wireless power transfer(WPT) system topology for size-limited implant medical devices(IMDs). The proposed modified series-parallel topology(mSPT) can be implemented by adding an inductor in series to the parallel-connected Rx coil and a capacitor. The topology achieves high efficiency when the Rx coil has a small inductance. The validity and operating conditions of the system are verified theoretically through circuit analysis. Experiments were conducted with bio-blocks, which are made of pork fat and muscle. When the Rx coils were inserted into the blocks at a depth of 2.5~10 mm, mSPT showed 17.79 % improved efficiency on average compared with the conventional series-series topology(SST). In the case of 32 dBm WPT in air, the Rx coil's heating rate for the mSPT was $0.18^{\circ}C/s$, whereas the SST was $0.75^{\circ}C/s$. It was confirmed that the mSPT is more suitable for an IMD-targeted WPT system.

In this paper, we propose an improved magnetic field shielding structure to reducing the magnetic field generated in the wireless power transfer system operating at a low frequency band. The proposed structure consists of the magnetic material and the conductive material, magnetic field cancelling effect for power transfer is minimized while improving the leakage magnetic field cancelling effect by optimizing the various design parameters in the proposed structure. We analyzed and verified the efficiency of the wireless power transfer system and the reduction effect of the leakage magnetic field through computer simulation and measurement. Analysis results show that power transfer efficiency of the wireless power transfer system utilizing the proposed structure is 77 %, which is maintained at the conventional power transfer efficiency. In addition, compared with the structure maintaining high power transfer efficiency, leakage magnetic field strength is reduced to 29~37 % at the nearest point.

본 논문에서 금속 차폐 공간 내 원거리 무선 전력전송 기술의 적용방법을 제시한다. 논문에서 고려된 금속 차폐 공간은 무선 전력전송 송수신코일의 후면 및 천장, 바닥에 위치하는 철, 알루미늄, 페라이트 3종류의 금속판들로 구성된다. 본 논문에서는 유한요소해석 시뮬레이션(Ansoft Maxwell)을 통해 송수신코일 간 자기결합 측면에서 철, 페라이트 금속판 보다 우수한 알루미늄 금속판의 특성을 검토하였다.

본 논문은 투명전극을 이용한 커패시티브 커플링 무선전력 전송에 관한 연구이다. 기존의 연구에서 유리를 유전체로 하여 큰 커플링 커패시터를 얻을 수 있었으며 이를 통해 전기자동차 무선전력 전송이 가능했었다. 하지만 동판을 이용하여 커패시터를 생성하는 경우 유리를 사용하는 응용분야에서는 시야확보의 문제점을 가진다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방식으로 전기전도성이 높은 투명전극 사용방식을 제안한다. 제안하는 방식의 타당성 검증을 위해 모의실험을 통한 손실과 효율을 분석했다. 또한 실험의 타당성 검증을 위해 동판만으로 구성한 커패시터, 투명전극과 동판으로 구성한 커패시터를 이용해 실제 200W급 송 수신 회로를 설계 및 제작하여 비교 분석 하였다.
