필수아미노산의 함량이 풍부한 동물성단백질의 공급은 필수적이다. 식물성 단백질만으로 해결하려면 무리가 생기지 않을 수 없다. 그런 면으로 보아 달걀과 닭고기는 매우 효율적인 동물성 단백질이므로 이것을 변화있고 맛있게 먹도록 하는 것은 현명한 일이다. 이때에 비타민C와 E도 충분히 고려해야 하는 것은 당연하다.

대체에너지론자들이 아무리 석유문명의 종말론을 외쳐대어도 현대문명에서 차지하는 석유의 비중은 쉽사리 사라지지 않을 것이다. 해마다 석유가 새로운 발견되고 있다는 점을 고려하면 미확인 매장량을 포함하여 앞으로 100~150년간은 석유가 존재하리라는 것이 일반적 견해이다.

The introduction of real numbers is one of the most difficult steps in the teaching of school mathematics since the mathematical justification of the extension from rational to real numbers requires the completeness property. The author elucidated what questions about real numbers can be unanswered as the "institutional didactic void" in school mathematics defining real numbers as the union of the rational and irrational numbers. The pre-service teachers' explanations on the extension from rational to real numbers and the raison d'$\hat{e}$tre of arbitrary non-recurring decimals showed the superficial and fragmentary understanding of real numbers. Connecting school mathematics to university mathematics via the didactic void, the author discussed how pre-service teachers could break the illusion of transparency about the real number.

It was planned to evaluate the influence of Panax Ginseng upon DNA synthesis of submandibular gland in mice by observing incorporation of $[^3H]$ thymidine into the tissue cells. Thirty male mice $(body\;weight:\;18{\sim}20\;g)$ were divided equally into two groups. One group received every day (subcutaneously) 0. 05 ml/10 g body weight of ginseng extract(4 mg of ginseng alcohol extract in 1ml of saline), while !he other group received the same amount of saline, for 5 days. On the 5th experimental day, all animals received $1\;{\mu}Ci/g$ body weight of $[^3H]$ thymidine intraperitoneally 2 hours after the last medication. Five animals, at a time, of each group were sacrificed 1, 10, and 24 hours after $[^3H]$ thymidine administration, and the radioactivity of cells in their mandibular gland was measured autoradiographically in terms of the % number of radioactive cells in 1,000 tell counts (Radioactive Index, R.I.). It was found that the radioactive indices of mice that received ginseng were lower than the corresponding values of mice that received saline. The inference from the above result was that the ginseng suppressed DNA synthesis of cells in the mandibular gland.

Dynamic behavior of pile foundation is significantly influenced by the dynamic interaction between soil and pile. Especially, in the sloping ground, the soil-pile interaction becomes very complex due to different resistance according to loading direction, soil residual displacement and so on. In this study, dynamic centrifuge tests were performed on the piles in the sloping ground. The model structures consisted of a single pile and 2×2 group pile. The soil-pile interaction has been investigated considering various conditions such as slope, single and group piles, and amplitude of input motions. The phase differences between soil and pile displacement and dynamic p-y curves were evaluated. The analysis results showed that the pile behavior was largely influenced by the kinematic forces between soil and pile. In addition, the dynamic p-y curve showed the complex hysteresis loop due to the effect of slope, residual displacement, and kinematic forces.
