간호대학생의 임상실습교육환경이 임상실습 관련 무력감과 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Clinical Learning Environment on Nursing Students' Powerlessness and Self-Efficacy Related to Clinical Practice)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of the clinical learning environment on nursing students' powerlessness and self-efficacy related to clinical practice. Methods: Participants were 149 nursing students from a university who had completed their clinical practicum in B city. Data were collected using self-report questionnaires and analyzed using t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: The mean score of the clinical learning environment was 2.99 out of 5 points, the powerlessness related to the clinical practice, 2.96 out of 5 points, and the self-efficacy related to clinical practice, 73.69 out of 100 points, respectively. The regression analysis showed that the clinical learning environment explained 11% of the powerlessness related to clinical practice and 3% of the self-efficacy related to clinical practice in the nursing students after controlling for the general characteristics. Conclusions: The result of this study indicated that it is necessary to improve the clinical learning environment for decreasing the feeling of powerlessness and increasing the self-efficiency related to clinical practice among the nursing students.

노인의 무력감, 사회적 지지와 생활만족도와의 관계 (The Relationship among Powerlessness, Social Support and Life Satisfaction in the Elderly People)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation between the feeling of powerlessness, social support and life satisfaction in the elderly. Methods: The subjects were 158 old people aged over 65 who were attending one of one college and three settlement houses for senior citizens located in B city. Results: The relationship between the feeling of powerlessness and life satisfaction was in a moderate negative correlation with each other (r=-.433, p=.000). The relationship between social support and life satisfaction was in a moderate positive correlation with each other (r=.410, p=.000). It was found that the higher social support was, the higher life satisfaction was. There was remarkable difference in the form of family (F=2.69, p=.023), the form of residence (F=5.29, p=.002), whether to belong to a group (F=2.26, p=.025). Conclusion: For the reasons stated above, as the feeling of powerlessness is lower and social support is higher, life satisfaction is higher. The results clearly show that in order to improve life satisfaction of the elderly, we need to ease their feeling of powerlessness and enhance social support to them. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a nursing intervention program to reduce powerlessness and to improve social support for the elderly.

집단미술요법의 노인의 무력감, 고독감, 우울, 자아상에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Group Art Therapy on Old Adults' Powerlessness, Loneliness, Depression and Self-image)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of group art therapy on old adults' powerlessness, loneliness. depression and self-image (for 55-year old or older people). Method: An experimental group of 10 persons were given group art therapy for 1 hour per week for 8 weeks. Results: The result of this study showed that group art therapy is effective in decreasing older adults' powerlessness (p<0.05) and their loneliness and depression (p<0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the score of loneliness (p>0.05). A tree test was executed to analyze self-image change. and the result of the tree test showed a significant change in the tree shape. which mean a significant positive change in self-image. Conclusions: The scores of older adults' powerlessness, loneliness and depression were lowered by the group art therapy. Therefore it is thought that group art therapy program was an effective intervention for improving older adults' quality of life. Thus, this study suggests to apply group art therapy as a supportive nursing intervention in order to manage powerlessness, loneliness, depression and self-image in old low-income adults.

세월호 사건 피해자 가족의 고통 체험에 관한 연구: Parse의 인간되어감 연구방법을 적용 (Lived Experience of Suffering For Family of Victim with Sewol-ho Ferry Accident: Applied to Parse's Human Becoming Methodology)

  • 목적 : 본 연구는 세월호 사건으로 가족을 잃은 피해자 가족의 고통 체험에 대해 알아보고 피해자 가족의 정신적 외상에 대한 작업치료의 필요성을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 세월호 사건으로 가족을 잃은 대상자 5명의 고통 체험을 확인하고자 Parse의 인간되어감 연구방법을 적용하였다. Parse의 연구 방법 패러다임에 따라 세월호 사건으로 가족을 잃은 고통 체험을 다룬 다큐 영상인 2차 자료를 선택하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 세월호 사건으로 가족을 잃은 가족의 고통 체험에 대한 세 개의 핵심구조는 1) 가족을 잃은 절망과 슬픔, 2) 일상이 무너져 내리는 듯한 무력감과 죄책감, 3) 남아있는 가족을 바라보며 고통에서 벗어나고 싶은 마음으로 나타났다. 구조적인 전환은 세월호 사건으로 가족을 잃은 애통함과 슬픔 속에서 압도적인 무력감을 느끼지만 희생된 가족이 세상에 없다는 것을 인정하고 싶지 않은 현실 부인과 살아있는 가족을 보면서 버티어 나가는 과정으로 제시되었다. 개념적 통합은 가치화와 언어화를 연결-분리, 노출-은폐하면서 강화시켜 나아가는 과정으로 표현되었다. 결론 : 세월호 사건으로 가족을 잃은 피해자 가족의 고통 체험은 무기력과 절망, 우울의 감정으로 인해 삶의 의미와 목적을 잃은 상태이다. 가족들에게 의미있는 작업을 통한 중재 프로그램을 개발하여 무너진 일상의 회복과 지역사회 참여를 향상시킬 수 있는 작업치료 중재가 필요하며 이에 기초자료로 활용할 수 있다.

  • 기독교 종교교육의 중요한 역할은 시민적 양극성, 도덕적 무감각, 그리고 학습된 무력감 속에서 발견할 수 있다. 북미 베트남 1.5세의 개인적 배경과 이민자로서 기독교 신앙에 대한 학문적 참여 그리고 폭력적 상황 속에서 신앙의 교육은 도전과 장애에 직면한다. 종교교육의 공적 차원과 역할이 주목되면서 공적 참여를 위해서 비판적 역량을 증진하는 종교교육의 역량에 관심이 집중된다. 이와 동시에 회중 문화와 공적 참여의 목적 사이에 있는 광범위한 분리가 관찰되며, 학습자와 공동체 가운데 있는 학습된 도움 없음의 양식이 무엇인지가 논문의 주요 쟁점이 된다. 파울로 프레이리의 "비판적 희망"의 개념은 사회적 쟁점이 지닌 변형적 참여를 증진하는 교육과정의 요구를 충족하여 주고, 이것은 단순한 전달의 한계를 넘어서서 비상상력이 지닌 교육 환경의 한계를 비판하고, 비판적 사고와 집단적 저항의 장애물을 제거하는 실천적 역할을 수행한다. 이러한 교육 모형은 앙리 지루에 의해서 정교하게 된 것으로 환경적이며 사회적 행동주의에 대한 장벽으로 "학습된 무기력"의 개념을 탐구하는 것이 된다. 연구자는 세계의 부정의에 대한 희망과 실천적 참여를 교육하는 것으로 신학적 예술 접근과 신학적 정치 접근을 강조한다. 변형적 실천으로서의 신학 예술적 그리고 신학 정치적 희망의 작은 행동으로 미주리 퍼거슨에서 사건을 예시로, 공적 예전과 저항이 어떻게 희망과 정의를 소통하게 하는지를 보여준다. 이 논문은 생명의 길이, 생명의 폭, 그리고 생명의 깊이를 기독교적 희망에 뿌리내린 사회적 회복 속에 있는 책임적 참여를 호소하는 교육과정이 되어야 한다는 점을 강조하며 결론을 맺는다.

양로원 노인의 무력감에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Powerlessness of Elderly Adults in Nursing Homes)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data necessary for the establishment of a nursing intervention program to relieve the powerlessness of elderly adults in nursing homes by investigating the degree of such powerlessness and factors affecting it. For the study, 353 elderly adults from S. A. D. J and Y free nursing homes located in Pusan were sampled as the subjects. The data were collected through direct interviews using a questionnaire survey and recorded by observation for a month from September 1. 1999. Data were analyzed using the statistical package SAS. The main results were as follows; 1. The mean score of the degree of perceived powerlessness of the subject were 30.4 point out of 64 point. 2. The level of powerlessness showed significant differences among the subjects in terms of educational background and monthly allowance both of which belong to socio-demographic characteristics. 3. Concerning the level of powerlessness based on health conditions. it showed significant differences in terms of the situation of common activity and the subjective perception of health condition. 4. Based on social support. the level of powerlessness was found significantly different in terms of close friends. 5. According to social activity. the level of powerlessness showed a significant difference in religious and leisure activities. In conclusion. it would be more effective in reducing powerlessness in elderly adults and in dealing with chronic diseases and physical discomfort. if we operated programs through which elderly adults can make friends and develop a nursing intervention program focusing on a variety of leisure activities.

아동의 학습된 무력감과 관련 변인간의 인과관계:아동의 자기능력지각, 스트레스, 모의 양육태도를 중심으로 (The Causal Relations of Children's Learned Helplessness and Related Variables:Focusing on the Children's Perception of Self-Competence, Stress and Mother's Childrearing Attitudes)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze a causal relations of children's learned helplessness, stress, perception of self-competence and mother's childrearing attitudes. The subjects were 370 of 4th and 6th grade in elementary school and the second grade in junior high school in Busan and their's mothers. The instruments used for this study were learned helplessness scale, stress scale, self-perception profile for children, and childrearing attitude scale. The data was analyzed with pearson's correlation, multiple regression and path analysis. The major findings of this study were as follows : 1. Children's global self-worth, social self, age and mother's controlling childrearing attitudes predicted children's stress. 21% of the variance of children's stress was explained by these variables. 2. Children's stress, global self-worth, academic and social self predicted children's learned helplessness. 54% of the variance of children's learned helplessness was explained by these variables. 3. 1) Global self-worth was the first contribution and had a indirect effect through stress as well as a direct effect on children's learned helplessness. 2) Children's stress and academic self had direct effect on children's learned helplessness. 3) Children's social self had a indirect effect through stress as well as a direct effect on children's learned helplessness. 4) Mother's affectionate childrearing attitudes had indirect effect through academic, and social self and global self-worth on children's learned helplessness. Mother's controlling childrearing attitudes had indirect effect through stress on children's learned helplessness. Children's age had a indirect effect through global self-worth and stress and children's sex had a indirect effect through social self on children's learned helplessness.

만성질환 입원노인환자의 자아존중감과 가족지지가 무력감에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Self-Esteem and Family-Support on Powerlessness of Hospitalized Elderly Patients with Chronic Disease)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify an influence of self-esteem and familysupport on powerlessness of hospitalized elderly patients with chronic disease. Method: The subjects were 151 hospitalized elderly patients, age over 60, with chronic disease and admitted for at least 1 week. The data were collected by individual interview using a structured questionnaire during the period from July 10th to August l0th, 2003 from three general hospitals in Busan. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, hierarchical multiple regression. Result: The level of self-esteem, family support, and powerlessness was 38.00, 38.26, and 38.38, respectively. There was a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and family support and a negative correlation between self-esteem and powerlessness and between family support and powerlessness. Self-esteem and family support were each significant predictor of powerlessness. Conclusion: This study showed the hospitalized elderly patients need greater family-support and higher self-esteem to relieve the level of powerlessness. I suggest to study for replication in a larger sample size and considering the lengths of hospitalization for generalization of this study and to develop individual intervention programs for increasing family support and self esteem and testify their effects on the relief of powerlessness of the elderly.

재가노인들의 무력감, 건강상태 및 인지기능에 관한 조사 연구 (A Study on the Powerlessness, Perception of Health and Cognitive Level of Elderly Home Residents)

  • This study was designed and undertaken to find out the degree of powerlessness, perception of health and cognitive level of elderly home residents and to determine the factors influencing powerlessness, perception of health and cognitive level. The data were collected from October 1st to 20th, 1998. The subjects in this study were 271 elderly home residents over the age 60 living in Taejon city. The study tool for measuring powerlessness was developed by S.E. Chung(1998), the other for measuring perception of health was a self-rating scale defined by Mossey & Shapiro (1982), and the tool for measuring cognitive level was developed by Kahn, Goldfarb, Pollack and Peck(1960). Data were analysed for percentage, mean, t-test, and ANOVA using the SPSS program. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. The degree of powerlessness, perception of health and cognitive level was scored above the median. 2. The degree of the elderly' powerlessness was statistically significantly different in three demographic variables; sex, one's state of health compared to other elderly' and living expense load. 3. Perception of one's health was statistically significantly different in four demographic variables; sex, marital status, educational level and monthly money. 4. Cognitive level of the elderly was statistically significantly different in three demographic variables; age, educational level and one's health of state compared to other elderly' health. In conclusion, the factors influencing the elderly' powerlessness, perception of health and cognitive level generally were age, sex, their economic independence, marital status, and educational level. Also, this study indicates that social welfare for the elderly could be effective in reducing their powerlessness and enhancing their health of state and cognitive level.

비치볼놀이가 뇌졸중환자의 우울, 무력감, 자아존중감, 일상생활동작 수행에 미치는 효과 (An Effect of Beach Ball Play for Depression, Powerlessness, Self-Esteem, Activity of Daily living in Stroke patients)

  • The purposes of this study was to determine the effect of beach ball play in stroke patients, and to define the strategy to promote their depression, powerlessness, self-esteem, activity of daily living. The experimental design was designed non-equivalent control group, non-synchroniged design. The study method had been done by investigating the experimental group and control group through the questionnaire on 57 patients who had been in patient department in D University hospital in Pusan from January 5th 1998 to the end of February 28th, 1998. Beach ball play was carried out experimental group once per day for 10 minute's for two weeks period from Jan 1998 to Feb 1998. Data was collected before and after the experimenation. Collected data was analyzed by means of frequency, percentage, chi-square test, mean, S.D, t-test with SPSS/PC. The results were summarized as follows : 1. The 1st hypothesis : "The experimental group which received the beach ball play should be higher in depression than the control group" was supported(t=3.11, p=.003). 2. The 2nd hypothesis : "The experimental group which received the beach hall play should be higher in powerlessness than the control group" was supported(t=3.32, p=.002). 3. The 3rd hypothesis : "The experimental group which received the beach ball play should be higher in self-esteem than the control group" was not supported(t=-1.90, p=.064). 4. The 4th hypothesis : "The experimental group which received the beach ball play should be higher in activity of daily living than the control group" was not supported(t=-.47, p=.637). In conclusion, the patients who received beach ball play showed the increase in the degree of depression and powerlessness of stroke patients. So the beach ball play had been judged the nursing intervention to improve their emotional problem in stroke patients.
