  • Culture conditions of yellow pigment in Monascus sp. were studied. According to the studies of culture conditions optimum condition was found to be pH 4.5, 3 days of incubation with 3% of sucrose as carbon source, 0.2 % of yeast extract as nitrogen source and 75m1 of medium in the 500m1 erlenmyer flask by rotary shaking (rpm 180) at 180 r.p.m. Effective levels of inorganic compounds were found to be 0.25 % of potassium phosphate monobasic and 0.1 % of Magnesium sulfate.

  • Barium titanyl oxalate was synthesized by adding ethanol solution of oxalic acid to the mixed aqueous solution which contained barium or lanthanum radiotracers in addition to Ba(NO$_3)_2$ and TiO(NO$_3)_2$. The oxalate was finally converted to BaTiO$_3$ by calcination at 1000$^{\circ}$C in air. The chemical formula of the oxalate was confirmed to be BaTiO(CTEX>$_2O_4)_2{\cdot}4H_2O$ by the thermal analysis of the barium titanyl oxalate. When the mixture's molar ratio(Ba/Ti) was within a range of 0.950-1.05, the formation of stoichiometric Barium titanate was confirmed with the help of barium tracers. The homogeneity of lanthanum deposite in the final product was also confirmed through the behavior of lanthanum tracers. The results as well as those obtained by XRD and SEM have been explained on the basis of the fact that the reaction occurs on the molecular level in solution and the barium titanate is formed in crystals of single phase.

  • An investigation in search of the best oxidizing agent for smoke generators using rice chaff as a combustible carrier was carried out. Smoke rods formulated with active ingredients (AIs) such as inorganic oxidizing agents, glue, and powdered rice chaff, showed constant and high burning rate and high smoking rate on 11 kinds of pesticides. Sodium chlorate was the most suitable oxidizing agent for smoke rod. Even though the sodium chlorate content of the formulation showing the highest smoking rate of AI was variable to pesticides, the smoking rate appeared to increase as the burning rate increased. Active ingredients in smoke generator using rice chaff as a combustible carrier were stable for 60 days when stored at $50^{\circ}C$. An apparatus designed for smoke trapping was useful to collect smoked active ingredients.

  • Among the Basidiomycetes, Pleurotus ostreatus 301 and Lentinus edodes 3-1 were chosen because of their good enzyme productivity and rapid mycelial growth in rice straw medium. Their cultural conditions adequate for the enzymes production and effects of various materials and inorganic salts added to thd rice straw media were investigated. L. edodes 3-1 was excellent in productivity of cellulase and xylanase, and P. ostreatus 301 in protease. The optimum conditions for enzyme production were at $30^{\circ}C$ in cellulase production and at $25^{\circ}C$ in xylanase and protease production, with 75% moisture content and 5.0-6.0 initial pH. The appropriate cultural periods, for enzyme production were 30 days and 35 days for P. ostreatus 301 and L. edodes 3-1, respectively. Among the various materials added, defatted soybean, defatted rape seed, or defatted sesame were all effective to enzyme production but reduced mycelial growth. Rice bran was also effective, particularly at 30% concentration. The addition of inorganic salts showed effective to enzyme production. Among inorganic salts, optimum concentration of $CaCO_3$ was 5%, and that of $CaSO_4$ was 2%.

Effects of Biologically Active Materials Prepared for Several Minerals and Plants on the Growth of Rumen Microbes (무기물성 및 식물성 생리활성 물질이 반추위 미생물의 성장에 미치는 영향)

  • In order to know the effects of scoria, germanium, charcoal, ginger, stevia, and CLA(Conjugated Linoleic Acid) as biologically active materials on pathogenic microbes and rumen anaerobic microbes, the growth rate of pathogens (including Escherichia coli O157, Salmonella paratyphi, Listeria monocytogenes and Staphylococcus aureus) and in vitro lumen microbial growth, gas production, ammonia concentration, carboxymethyl-cellulase (CMCase) activity, and microbial populations were investigated. The growth of pathogenic microbes was inhibited by the supplement of 0.10% ginger. Ginger had powerful antimicrobial properties on all the pathogens used in this experiments. Additionally in the antibacterial assay by paper disc method, we could observe the clear zone of similar area with the positive control(antibiotics) for E. coli as applied with the 10% stevia or the 10% CLA only. The supplements of ginger, stevia and CLA in vitro rumen fermentation inhibited populations of rumen bacteria and protozoa. Particularly supplement of ginger resulted in remarkable reduction of the protozoa population, which means it might serve as a source inhibiting material of methane creation in the rumen.

셀레늄 급여원에 따른 쇠고기의 육색 안정성 비교 연구

  • 유기셀레늄급원을 달리하여 쇠고기 육색 안정성에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. Myoglobin의 함량은 대조구와 시험구에서 각각 6.39%, 14.18%로 대조구가 시험구에 비하여 낮은 결과를 보였으며, Oxy-Myoglobin의 함량은 반대로 대조구 89.07%, 시험구 83.47%로 시험구가 대조구에 비하여 낮은 결과를 보였다(p<0.05). 그러나 Met-myoglobin 함량은 대조구가 4.56%이였고 시험구가 2.35%로 대조구가 높은 결과를 보였다. 보다 정확한 결과를 평가하기 위해서는 시료를 Met화 시킨 후 측정해 볼 필요성이 대두되어 도축후 $4^{\circ}C$에서 14일 및 21일간 숙성한 시료를 $20^{\circ}C$에서 48시간 산화시킨 후 측정 육색소 화학적 조성을 비교한 결과, 육색소 화학적 조성을 비교한 결과로 Myoglobin 함량은 저장 14일차와 21일차에서 유의적인 차이를 보이지 않았으나, Oxy- myoglobin은 저장 14일차와 21일차 모두 유기셀레늄 강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구가 대조구와 무기셀레늄 급여구에 비하여 높은 결과를 보였다. Met-myoglobin함량에 있어서는 대조구와 무기셀레늄구가 유기 셀레늄구와 유기셀레늄강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구에 비하여 높은 결과를 보였다(p<0.05). 유기셀레늄 강화 버섯 폐배지 급여구가 대조구나 유기셀레늄구에 비하여 Oxy-myoglobin production이 유의적으로 높았으며, Met-myoglobin Activity는 유기 셀레늄 급여구가 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로는 유기셀레늄강화 버섯폐배지 급여구가 높았다(p<0.05). 이러한 결과는 소매상품 으로 제조 판매시 Oxy-Mb이 Met-Mb으로의 전환을 억제하여 이상적인 육색을 장시간 유지할 수있을 것으로 판단된다.조직감과 염도에서 매우 좋게 평가되었다. 이러한 결과는 제조 가능한 식염첨가최저수준은 0.5%이상임을 보여주었다. 따라서 로인 햄의 제조에 필요로 되는 식염의 첨가량은 0.5${\sim}$1.5% 범위로 평가된다. 차후의 연구로는 저염 로인 햄의 경우 품질의 저하를 보완할 수 있는 기능성 첨가물이나 가공기법이 필요할 것으로 보인다.97.22로 가장 낮았고, 기타 처리구는 1.19${\sim}$1.59의 처리를 보이고 있는데 비하여, 대조구(100) 대비 증체율에서는 생봉독 처리 2구에서 103.30으로 3.30%가 높았다.양성이 무엇보다 중요하다. 특히 지역자원 활용 소스 중심의 문화관린 산업의 seeds 발굴과 향토상품의 상품화와 네트워크 조직망 구축을 위한 지역중심의 복합 생활문화 공간이 필요할 것이며, 이를 촉진키 위한 mentor academy시스템 접근을 통해 점점 고령화되어 가고 있는 재래시장에 대해 차별적 특성이 반영된 종합적이고 체계적 접근 방법연구가 필요하다./TEX> 자체기술개발, 선진기술 도입, 산업간 및 산업내 기술확산, 국제기술협력 ${\rightarrow}$ 기술혁신의 촉진 ${\rightarrow}$ 총요소생산성과 기업경쟁력(자원 및 역량, 프로세스 경쟁력, 품질경쟁력, 시장경쟁력, 고객성과, 시장성과, 재무성과)의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 가격경쟁력(임금, 금리, 물류비용, 환율 등)과 비(非)가격경쟁력(디자인, 에프터서비스, 품질, 운송 등)의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 국가경쟁력의 제고 ${\rightarrow}$ 국제수지 흑자 ${\rightarrow}$ 성장 ${\rightarrow}$ 물가 및

  • This study is about controlled impurities, which make metal alloys, especially AC4CH alloy that is made by restraining 0.2% Fe and Aluminum to make a matrix material. A metal matrix composite is produced using the squeeze casting method. The first step in the squeeze casting method is to add some organic binder including aluminum borate whisker into the matrix. After the fabrication of a metal matrix composite, each is individually appended to an inanimate binder such as SiO$_2$, Al$_2$O$_3$, and TiO$_2$. Through experiments the mechanical property changes were investigated between the metal matrix composite and AC4CH alloy. This study proves the superiority of the mechanical property of a metal matrix composites over AC4CH according to the previous tests and results that were mentioned above. One excellent property of matrix material composites is the infiltrated TiO$_2$ reinforcement. This material is a good substitute for the existing materials that are used in the development of industries today.

  • 레이온 섬유는 dry한 촉감, 고광택, 드레이프성 등 의류 분야에서 요구하는 많은 장점들을 가지고 있으나 타 섬유 소재에 비해 소비량이 적은 것은 합섬이나 면/울 제품에 비해 상대적으로 제품 가격이 높고, 형태안정성이 취약하여 정장 및 캐주얼의 겉감 용도로 쓰기에는 성능 보완이 필요하다. 또한 염색가공 공정에서 구김발생이 많으며, 열고정이 쉽게 이루어지지 않아 습윤강도와 탄성 회복률이 낮아 변형이 쉽게 발생된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 합섬의 장점을 그대로 유지하면서 레이온 섬유가 갖는 고비중과 우수한 드레이프성과 유연한 질감으로 소프트 터치를 발현하는 특수한 레이온 대체 소재를 실현하고자 하였다. 직물에서 드레이프성과 은은한 광택을 확보하기 위해서는 폴리머단계에서 비중과 광택을 발현할 수 있는 무기입자 중 비중이 높고, 중합 후 폴리머 내에서 광택을 유지하는 입자의 선택이 필요한데 본 실험에서는 $BaSO_4$를 이용하여 PET dope액과 중합한 후 용융 방사하여 고비중 폴리에스테르사(100/48)를 제조하였다. 고비중 폴리에스테르사를 이용하여 폭 58inch, 밀도 92T, 중량 324.8g/yd 직물로 제직하여 그에 따른 태를 측정하였다. 태측정기(KES-FB, KATO TECH CO)를 이용하여 인장 & 전단강도, 굽힘강도, 압축강도, 표면측정 시험 결과 $BaSO_4$ 2% 첨가한 원단의 드레이프성이 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

Performance Evaluation of Cold-Recycling Asphalt Mixtures with an Inorganic Additive (무기질 첨가제를 사용한 상온 재활용 아스팔트 혼합물의 공용성 평가)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to estimate the optimum content of an inorganic additive for cold-recycled asphalt mixtures and evaluate its performance. METHODS : An indirect tensile test, a tensile-strength ratio test, and an indirect tensile-fatigue test were conducted on cold-recycling asphalt mixtures with various additives. RESULTS : The laboratory performance tests indicated that granulated blast-furnace slag mixed with inorganic and cement activators provided optimum performance. The performance results of the cold-recycled asphalt pavement were similar to the inorganic and cement activators' performance in terms of the indirect tensile strength, tensile strength ratio, and indirect tensile-fatigue test. CONCLUSIONS : Overall, the performance of a cold-recycled asphalt mixture using inorganic additives and emulsion asphalt was comparable to a warm-recycled asphalt mixture. However, more experiments aimed at improving its performance and studying the effect of the inorganic additives must be conducted.
