본 논문에서는 국립지리원에서 제공하는 DXF(Drawing exchange Format) 형식의 국가기본 수치 지도를 지리정보의 저장과 전달을 위해 OGC(Open GIS Consortium)에서 제안한 GML(Geographic Markup Language)로 변환하는 시스템을 제안한다.

  • GIS was introduced to spatial information of complex and various facility systematically and scientifically. And, recently, new trend has been spread by Mobile GIS owing to its fast development of information and communication technology. However, these Mobile GIS techniques were introduced in maintenances of various facilities. Due to its mismanagement, the use became insufficient in facilities causing database creation to require realism and mobility. Therefore, in this research to road facility of various facilities, it deduced improving the work process by using a Mobile GIS to analyze work process of the road facility database creation. And, through an experiment, by comparing and analyzing road facilities database creation process by existing method and improving method, could improvement of road facility database creation using a Mobile GIS.

  • Most of GIS services have been operated in single applications, and as data processing and computer and mobile technologies have developed rapidly, users request for efficient sharing between each GIS's own data and various different GIS's. However, since many GIS applications maintain their own data formats, they are incapable of processing data formats different with each other, and do not have a filtering function for mobile GIS. This paper designs an integrated preprocessor, SMP to accept features of various current formats of geographic information such as DXF(Drawing eXchange Format), DWG(DraWinG), SHP(SHaPefile), etc., and to extract core information for describing maps. The geographic information extracted by SMP(Synthetic Map Preprocessor) shows consistency in various formats by visualizing through the integrated view. By generating the extracted core data in GML, it supports rapid access to mobile devices and extensibility of file formats overcoming heterogeneity.

  • In ubiquitous computing GIS services, it is possible to use the spatio-temporal data anytime through the mobile device. GIS services regularly update use the latest spatio-temporal data to provide the most suitable services. For this situation, update data is distributed to CD or wired networks update services. However, this method has problem to propagate update data to users as taking long time. In this paper, suggests a synchronization system which propagate update data to users for reducing processing time efficiently. This synchronization system collects update data in the field and synchronizes server with collected data to use mobile devices by real time. For this system, I design and materialize synchronization module which updates update data and wireless network module.

  • This article reviewed issues in Korean geographical journals: web GIS and National GIS. Web GIS in Korea is now evolving to mobile GIS, which requires portable hardware, wireless Internet, and GPS receiver. The new trend of mobile GIS is using a smart phone. Recently, a variety of studies for the mobile App and mobile Web in Korea has been developed. With explosive information on the Web 2.0, the Korean government has built the Human-Oriented Geographic Information System (HOGIS) in which Ontology was implemented for semantic query on the Web. On the government side, Korean government has produced various nationwide data through 4-phase NGIS project. Current NGIS ($4^{th}$ phase: 2011-2015) moves toward a Korean Green Geospatial Society using geospatial information as a new growth engine for the future.

  • Recently, as various smart phones released smart phones are becoming popular.Accordingly, the growing interest in mobile information service or advertising serviece, and attention has been concentrated in the mobile environment. These servieces should be carried out smoothly in the all situation (cannot access mobile Wi-Fi networks and 3G services), and should have the uniqueness that is fit for purpose. In this papaer, module for a particular purpose of the foundation of specialized location-based map services was implemented using a Packing R-tree by using a GIS engine based on Microsoft Window Mobile and Android operating system without communication device like 3G or Wi-Fi.

  • As information communication technology matures, GIS is being evolved from wire communication GIS to mobile GIS. This is due that mobile GIS satisfy mobility, field work, speed and time. Also, this is proper that mobile GIS accomplish investigation, confirmation, input and modification operations of spatial and attribute data at field. I think mobile GIS's use is the best way. Because, Mobile GIS's use can accomplish effectively the management of various kinds facilities in city. On this study, we consider diversified methods a person in charge can management point and line data with more easy and more effective method. The management methods of pint type data are free method, offset method two point method. The management methods of line type data are free method, point connection method, point and line connection method and the minimum distance connection method between point and line.

  • GIS(Geographic Information System) based Positioning technique uses geographic information to predict which satellites are visible or invisible. GPS positioning has poor positioning accuracy in dense urban area where tall buildings block the satellite signals. In this paper, we proposed GIS based Advanced Positioning technique of Mobile GPS to resolve this problem. Particularly, this technique improves positioning accuracy in dense urban area. It is consist of ephemeris and GIS server. We will inversely estimate pseudorange by using NMEA-0183 output data of mobile GPS. After that, we can find more accurate position by using ephemeris and GIS information.

  • Recently, with the development of wireless communications and GIS, interest about mobile computing is rising. In this case, the GIS needs to be placed in a constricted environment than the environment of server computing. For this reason large amounts of spatial data must be compressed into the mobile device. The compression technique of the spatial data is difficult and must be processed in the correct order because the size of the data is unpredictable. Therefore, in this paper, the cell-based compression technique of the spatial data for mobile GIS is presented. This paper includes the process of transformation of spatial data from a certain server to a mobile device by cell-based compression technique. In this paper, the cell-based compression technique of the spatial data has been proven practically efficient.

  • As computer systems of high capacity and high performance recently emerged, various researches about GISs(Geographic Information Systems) have been in progress and many GIS applications have also been developed. From the domestic situation where many people are using mobile devices, because of the recent advances in the mobile technology, we can infer that the time will come when every individual will carry a mobile device with a GPS(Global Positioning System) module resulting from the development of a miniature GPS Module. Therefore, a mobile GIS that can allows users to deal with dynamic GIS data management and perform their tasks while moving will be required. This paper discusses the design and implementation of a mobile GIS using the shareware DBMS, called postgresSQL. The Mobile GIS in which a mobile concept is utilized at the GIS data server makes it possible to insert, delete, update GIS data, to zoom in and zoom out displayed maps, and to locate the user's position on the client device. Therefore, It is possible to manage dynamic GIS data in order to deal with GIS data on the maps while moving, connect various GIS data servers through the middleware, and connected with ITS (Intelligent Transport System) which is one of applications of the Mobile GIS developed in this paper.
