A Design of Integrated Service for ControllingNetworked Appliances on Wireless Network (인터넷 정보가전 제어를 위한 무선 통합 서비스 설계)

  • This paper proposes the wireless integrated service for controlling networked appliances. Using wireless devices such as celluar phone and PDA which can communicate through Bluetooth and CDMA technology, home appliances are accessed and controlled from outside of house. The XML and the SMS message format is designed to specify controlling information for home appliances. Also the mobile agent and the message processor for networked appliances are implemented in the home gateway. In order to verify the proposed service system, a universal remote controller for cellular phone and PDA and network appliance simulator on web browser are implemented. Correct operation is verified through simulation using them.

Automatic Client Authentication Method in All-In-One Services (올인원 서비스에서 자동적인 고객 인증 기법)

  • The all-in-one service, for example, mobile wallet enables users to have credit card, membership card, and coupon in one place. It has been one of important o2o services with offline payment. In order to take advantage of mobile commerce, it is necessary to authenticate clients automatically without entering their passwords. This paper proposes an automatic client authentication method in all-in-one service. At registration, clients receives and stores an authentication ticket from a company, which contains an user's identifier and password encrypted by company's symmetric key. Client can be authenticated by transferring authentication tickets to companies at service requests.

  • IOS/IEEE 11073 PHD 표준들은 u-헬스 측정기기와 u-헬스 게이트웨이간의 통신을 가능하게 하도록 설계되어 있다. 모바일 단말기를 데이터 취합을 위한 중계기로 활용하고 별도의 게이트웨이를 구성하여 헬스케어 의료기기를 연동하고 모니터링을 위한 인터페이스를 제공해 왔으나 스마트폰 애플리케이션 단계에서 IEEE 11073 플랫폼을 포함하여 헬스케어 의료기기를 활용하는 u-헬스케어 서비스를 제공하기에는 많은 제약이 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 Android 4.0.x OS 스마트폰을 대상으로 Bluetooth HDP을 활용하여 u-헬스케어 시스템에서의 게이트웨이/서버 플랫폼 기능을 포함하는 헬스케어 의료기기의 모니터링 애플리케이션 시스템을 설계하였다.

  • Telematics, which is a compound word of a telecommunication and informatics, provides drivers with useful driving information such as driving path guidance, accident or robbery detection, traffic conditions and other valuable data at real time. This paper proposes and implements how to build a telematics terminal equipped with CDMA and GPS running embedded Linux, to check a vehicle's state through communication between telematics server and vehicle terminals using a cellular phone and to control a vehicle using SMS as shown in Figure 1. In order to do this, we use the SK-VM platform which is mobile terminal platform based on JAVA to design, implement and evaluate it.

  • Various mobile contents have been developed with the spread of cellular phones. Above all things, nowadays, an idle application services are developed through competition in mobile phone manufacturers and mobile communication companies. In this paper, we propose that the idle application with text message service is easy to receive and edit. It is complement to function of SMS in use and can be effective information managing method, for example, it arrays messages and uses diary feature to set permissions when it send and receive standardized text message. We expect that proposed service will be adopted without additional cost in wireless units.

  • Many modules such as controller, sensor, telematics terminal, navigation, audio and video are connected each other via vehicle network (CAN, MOST, etc). Futhermore, users can have ITS or internet services in moving by connecting to wireless mobile network. These network capabilities can cause a lots of security issues such as data hacking, privacy violation, location tracking and so on. Some possibilities which raise a breakdown or accident by hacking vehicle operation data (sensor, control data) are on the increase. In this paper, we propose a security module which has encryption functionalities and can be used for vehicle network system such as CAN, MOST, etc. This security module can provide conventional encryption algorithms and digital signature processing functionality such as DES, 3-DES, SEED, ECC, and RSA.

  • Conventional MIMO system is required to a number of RF chains as much as a number of antennas. If the number of antennas increased then the number of RF chains increased. Therefore, it is difficult to apply conventional MIMO system to mobile terminals with limited power. In this paper, we propose a TDM(time division multiplexing)-based single RF chain MIMO system. The outcome shows that performance of the proposed system is similar to conventional MIMO system using multiple RF chains when STO is corrected by phase angle estimation and the synchronizing signal of received signal. Therefore, it is possible to implement the MIMO-OFDM system of low power and complexity through a single RF chain.

  • Smart phone usage has increased exponentially and open source based Android OS occupy significant market share. However, various malicious applications that use the characteristic of Android threaten users. In this paper, we construct an efficient malicious application detector by using the principle component analysis and the incremental k nearest neighbor algorithm, which consider an required permission, of Android applications. The cross validation is exploited in order to find a critical parameter of the algorithm. For the performance evaluation of our approach, we simulate a real data set of Contagio Mobile.

  • Interest in a comfortable living space is increasing as the home monitoring technology advances. This paper proposes design and implementation of home monitoring and controlling system using arduino and smartphone. To collect environmental data in home, various sensors are installed in the house. A user can monitor the sensed data and can send controlling message through the smartphone.
