Design of Wi-Fi based Mobile Game App for a Smart Phone (스마트 폰을 위한 Wi-Fi 기반 모바일 게임 앱의 설계)

  • With the rapid growth of recent smart phone technology, the interests for the design of online game in mobile computing environment are highly focussed on with great attention. Smart phone as a mobile terminal device, however, has many restrictions for implementing online mobile game since the limitation of relatively low performance of a processor, low resolution of GUI, small memory spaces, and short battery power. Therefore, most of games are very restricted on online and multi-play functions. In this paper, we design and implement mobile online game app in component based smart phone environment in order to take over these restrictions in mobile environment. Especially, the implemented mobile game is able to play online game among Wi-Fi based game server and another smart phone.

  • 현재 모바일 게임시장은 2D 위주에서 3D로 변화를 모색하고 있다. 각 이동통신사들은 3D 게임과 Network 접속형 게임의 활성화를 위해 GXG, GPANG 등의 전용 서비스 사이트를 개설하고 다양하고 저렴한 월정액 요금제를 출시하는 등의 많은 노력을 보이고 있으며, 3D 지원 단말기 역시 보급속도가 점차 높아져가고 있는 추세이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 변화된 모바일 게임 환경에 적용 가능한 육성게임을 설계 및 구현하였다. 본 연구의 육성게임은 웹과 게임서버와 클라이언트간의 연동시스템, NF3D를 이용한 3D 아바타의 생성, 그리고 육성되는 아바타의 지능성 부여 등의 특징을 가지고 있다.

  • Along with the development of mobile technology, mobile game has undergone a change from downloadable game to network game, where a large number of users connect to server and play real-time game with a mobile phone. In order to develop these mobile network games economically, a proper, suitable game engine is needed. This study proposes the result of design and implementation of RWMMO-GE(Realtime Wireless Massively Multiplayer Online RPG Game Engine) that is used to develop a mobile network game. The structure of RWMMO-GE, which is the research result of this study, consists of major components such as Network/Client Module, Object Module, Map Tool, Script Editor, and Character Editor. The characteristics of the multiplayer mobile game developed by this engine is that a large number of players can play real-time game in a single map, which implies a possibility of a new business model in this area. This research is a result of the RWMMO-GE supported by 2006 IT Excellent Technology Support Project(No:A1300-0601-0125) of IITA(Institute Information Technology Advancement).

  • With the recent increase of the number of mobile game users, the side effects such as the manipulation of game points, levels and game speed and payment fraud are emerging. Especially, the emulators which make it possible for mobile applications to run on PC is a great threat to mobile game security since debugging specific game application or automating the game playing can be done easier with them. Therefore, we research the efficient ways to detect widely used Android Emulators such as BlueStacks, GenyMotion, Andy, YouWave and ARC Welder from the perspective of client(app), game server and network to reduce threat to mobile game security.

  • The purpose of this study is to find factors which are influencing choosing game based on empirical study. Today, many kind of smart phone games are developing because advanced smart phone hardware. Therefore we analyze to choose factors of smart phone game. As a results many smart phone game user more interested in reward than others. Many smart phone game company service their own game based on semi pay game because of profit. However, smart phone game user doesn't want to pay it. Thus mart phone game company have to change their sales strategy. Second, smart phone game user believe that access is important. So smart phone game company to manage game server.

가상재화의 현금거래가 비즈니스에 미치는 영향 : 온라인게임 아이템 현금 거래를 중심으로

  • 본 연구는 온라인 게임 아이템과 같은 가상재화가 현금 거래될 경우 온라인 게임 비즈니스에 미치는 영향을 정량적으로 추정하려 했다. 기존 연구문헌에서 온라인 상거래와 모바일 앱 유통에서 활용된 롱테일 분포 계량 추정 방법론을 이용하여 추정한 결과, 온라인 게임 거래소의 거래 아이템 총액은 약 1조 5천억 원으로 추정되었다. 이 중, 전문적인 작업장 매출 규모는 연간 약 8,700억원으로 아이템 중개 거래 사이트 게임 머니 및 게임 아이템 거래 총액 대비 58% 수준으로 추정되었다. 본 연구는 학문적 분석이 매우 제한된 온라인 게임 상의 가상재화 아이템의 현금거래에 대한 정량적 분석 시도라는 점에서 의의를 가지며 특히, 작업장 및 작업장의 게임에 미치는 영향을 정량 분석한 거의 최초의 연구이다. 다만, 아이템 거래시장에 대한 데이터 및 게임 운영에 대한 내부 정보가 제한되어 연구문헌에 기초를 둔 추정방법론을 활용하였으며 게임 산업계의 전문가들의 의견을 반영하여 추정한 분석 결과이다. 또한 본 연구는 작업장 및 불법 서버로 말미암아 발생하는 사회적 비용 등을 온라인 게임 서비스 제공 회사에 일방적 책임을 갖게 하는 것 보다는 사회 전반적인 관점에서 접근해야 한다는 정책적 시사점을 제시한다.

  • In this paper, an application layer protocol between sewer and client is proposed for mobile on-line contents in heterogeneous distributed environments. The proposed protocol guarantees the global state consistency in the distributed environments and controls the flow of communication. The protocol reduces the overhead of handsets for flow control and does not need to maintain state information for contents. CPs, by using the proposed sealable protocol, can easily develop their contents as application processes.

  • Recently, as the types of services that can be enjoyed in mobile telecommunication networks such as social networks and video streaming are increasing, mobile users(MUs) can access mobile contents easily by consuming mobile data. However, under a mobile telecommunication environment, MUs have to pay a high data fee to a network service provider(SP) in order to enjoy contents. The 'data sponsor' technique, introduced as a way to solve this problem, has attracted attention as a breakthrough method for enhancing contents accessibility of MUs. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that determines the optimal discount rate through the Stackelberg game in the data sponsor environment. We also propose an algorithm to design edge caching, which caches highly popular content for MUs on edge server, through many-to-many matching game. Simulation results clearly indicate that the profit for CP's content consumption is improved by about 6~11%, and the profit of CP according to the ratio of edge caching is improved by about 12% than the other existing schemes under data sponsor environment.

  • In this paper, we developed a mobile RPG System based on real time. This system includes game engine based on real time, system library, item trade server based on network, and client tools. Also, to make inroads into USA market, we are using smart phone platform based on Microsoft Windows CE.

  • A lot of games are supposed to play through controller operations, such as mouse and keyboard rather than user's physical movement. These games have limitation that causes the user lack of movement. Therefore, this study will solve the problems that these traditional game systems have through the development of a motion-producing system, and provide users more realistic system. It recognizes the user's position in a given space and provides a mobile augmented reality system that interacts with virtual game characters. It uses augmented reality technology to make users feel as if virtual characters exist in real space and it designs a mobile game system that uses armband controllers that interact with virtual characters.
