본고는 양계와 한평생을 함께 한 오봉국 교수(서울대 명예교수)가 그 동안의 인생여정을 정리하여 출간한 '축산의 비전을 심으며 살아온 나의 인생여정' 자서전 내용 중 '양계와 함께 걸어온 나의 회고' 내용을 발췌, 게재한 것이다. 오봉국 교수는 1925년 평안남도 진남포에서 태어나 1956년 서울대학교 축산과에서 농학석사과정을 거친 후 미국 미네소타대학과 호주 시드니 대학에서 석, 박사과정을 마친후 서울대학교에서 후학양성은 물론 양계산업 발전을 위해 많은 공을 세웠다. 1969년에는 (사)한국가금협회장(대한양계협회 전신)을 역임하고 현재까지 대한양계협회 고문으로 활동하고 있다. 1991년에는 국민훈장 모란장을 수여한 바 있으며, 현대가금학 등 16편의 주옥같은 저서를 남겼다.

The purposes of this study are to review the Chinese traditional patterns and to apply one of them, the Peony Blossom pattern into modern textile designs for fashion For this purpose, first, the categories and symbolic meanings of the patterns existing in the Chinese traditional clothing from literature were reviewed. Second, the Peony Blossom patterns of Chinese traditional patterns from literature were reviewed and selected one of them, Third, authors applied the Peony Blossom pattern to creative textile design which would fit to appetite of people lived in modern society. The results were as follows: The patterns of Chinese traditional clothing could be classified as animal pattern, plant pattern, nature pattern, character pattern, lucky token pattern, geometric pattern and so on. All these patterns contained individual symbolic meaning, which varied according the different wearers. Moreover, it endows a peony blossom pattern of Chinese traditional patterns with modern style and purposes the textile design. The theme of the design is "Luxuriant Outing" with the concept of "Dream in Fantasy". The design target is the female born in the 1980's, that is, the target population between 20 and 30 years old. In addition, it is designed for the romantic one-piece. This paper perceives the national spirit revealed in the Chinese traditional patterns and designs with the combination of traditional culture and modernized technique of expression.

The purpose of this study is to examine the spatial distributional characteristics of industries among the Korean cities and to conduct industry classification using the findings. For this purpose, 82 cities in Korea are investigated with respect to 15 industrial sectors. In the analysis, concentration of and association between industries are recognized using both geographic and non-geographic measures. In order to measure concentration and association, locational Gini coefficient, Moran's I, correlation coefficient, and bivatiate Moran are used and 15 industrial sectors are classified based on these estimates. The findings reveal that the chemical sector shows strong geographic and non-geographic concentrations while the assembly, machinery and electronics sector only shows a strong geographic concentration. Printing and publishing, wholesale, and business services show a strong non-geographic association with other sectors. The remaining ten sectors show no explicit distribution patterns among cities. This study contributes to providing the methodology that analyzes the spatial distribution patterns of industries in a comprehensive way and is able to provide useful information in implementing industrial location policies including industrial clusters.
