A gobiid fish , Istigobius hoshinonis (Tanaka) is described from one specimen collected at Hanrim-p, Cheju-do , on August 2, 1986. This is the first definitive record of the species in Korean waters. This species is distinguish from its congeners by the combination of the following characters ; uppermost pectoral fin ray unbranched, 12 or more predorsal scales, 7-9transverse scales and no scales on cheek and operculum. Pidan-mang-dug' is proposed as Korean name of this species.

A new speices of cyprinid fish, Acheilognathus somjinensis is described based on the specimens collected in the Somjin River, Sinpyong-myon, Imsil -gun , Chollabuk-do province of Korea. In general morphology it is similar to A. koreensis. however, the new speices differs from the latter in having longer ovipositor of female in spawing season and showing pear-shaped eggs. In hybridization experiments, it was found that A.somjinensis is repoductively isolated from A.koreensis.

Two new species belonging to the genus Attheyella of Canthocamptidae, collected from two springs each of Mt. Hambak and Mt. Halla of South Korea, are described under the name of Attheyella(Attheyella) paucisetosa and Attheyella(Mrazekiella) byblis, respectively.

A new species of the genus Herrmannella is described under the name of H. hoonsooi from the bivalve host, Saxidomus purpuratus. This species is characteristic in that the cephalothorax is spatulate, and the prosome and some parts of body have a hyaline material. A key to six Far Eastern species of the genus is provided.

Seven geographical variation types of G.sobaegensis in South Korea were reported by Kim and Lee(1977) and Lee and Kim (1980). After extensive reexamination, we considered type 4, one of the variation types collectd from various localities of Kyongsangbuk-do Pongwha-gun, as a new species This new species is named as Gammarus longisaeta and fully described and illustrated. Adding this new species, total 9 species of freshwater Gammarus are Known to Korea.

Diethyl ether soluble toxin produced by H. sativum had the characteristics of helmin­thosporal as based on UV, GC-MS, and chemical analysis, but was not a helminthosporaI. It was speculated that it was a polymer of helminthosporal. It stimulated the productions of reducing sugar in the barly endosperm like gibberellic acid, but acted in the responses on the barley roots and coleoptiles like gibberellic acid. It seemed to be involved in Foliar and Root rot diseases with host specificity, based on the analysis of linear regression.

4 세대 모바일폰은 카메라, MP3, 블루투스, DMB, 전자수첩, PC, 웹브라우징의 복합 기능을 가진 제품으로 진화하고 있으며, 이를 위한 사용자의 요구와 경험디자인의 요소를 탐색하고 분석하는 것이 요구된다. 하지만 기존의 사용자 요구의 조사와 경험디자인은 많은 비용과 시간을 투입하고도 기존 요구의 재확인에 머물거나, 제한적이고 예측 가능한 결과만을 도출하는 문제점을 가지고 있어 창의적 디자인 아이디어 도출에는 한계를 가지고 있다. 이는 사용자의 선정과 분석의 방법이 마케팅 중심의 통계적 방법에 기초하고 있으며, 사용자의 선정에 분석의 결과가 좌우되기 때문이다. 본 연구는 창의적 경험디자인의 방법으로서 1% 이미지 추출의 작업과 국내외 커뮤니티 사이트를 중심으로 한 디지털 포켓리서치의 방법을 활용하였나 2차 사용자 조사는 '1% UX 리서치'로 명명한 극단적 사용자 분석의 방법을 개발하고 적용하였으며, 주요 디자인 요구와 암시점은 K-J 매트릭스를 통하여 체계화하였다. 디지털포켓리서치와 1% 사용자의 리서치의 방법론은 근 미래의 사용자 예측과 풍부한 경험디자인의 아이디어를 발상할 수 있다는 측면에서 기존의 방법론 보다 비용과 시간 측면에서 효율적으로 활용할 수 있었다.

본 논문은 데이터 캐시를 효과적으로 사용하기 위하여 개발된 원시 프로그램의 루프 변환체제에 대하여 논하고 있다. DIUS로 명명된 이 체계는 외부 루프 펼침을 중심으로 루프 분산, 교환이 선행되고 , 마직막에 스칼라화가 적용되는 변환체계이다. 루프 교환은 회전 공간이 루프 단위로 변형되어 전반적으로 캐시 재사용 기회를 높이지만 일부 배열 참조에 대해서는 오히려 재사용 기회를 감소시킨다. 본 연구에서는 이 문제를 외부 루프 펼침으로 해결하였다. 외부 루프 펼침과 루프 교환을 루프 몸체의 문장들에 선별적으로 적용하기 위하여 루프 분산을 도입하였다. 외부 루프 펼침을 적용하면 배열 참조를 스칼라 참조로 변환하는 스칼라화의 효과가 증대되어 레지스터 사용의 효율성이 높아진다. SPEC CFP95 벤치마크에 대하여 DIUS를 적용한 결과 기하학적 평균으로 속도 향상 1.10을 얻었으며, 특정 프로그램들은 모두 캐시 미스수가 줄어들었음을 확인하였다. 이와 같은 성능향상은사용된 루프 변환기법들이 갖는 캐시와 레지스터의 효율적인 사용에 기인한다.

A new barley cultivar "Doo San #781" has been developed from combination of Seijo #17 and Piroline at Sacheon Experiment Station, Doo San Poongsan Co. This cultivar is early, medium culm, lodging resistant and panicle numbers type. Also, yields of this cultivar were increased at all experiment locations regardless paddy-and up-lands cultivations except Cheju districts, thus indicating the broad adaptibility.ptibility.

지르코니아는 물리적 성질이 금속과 가장 가까운 세라믹이며, 색상이 치아와 비슷하여 치과분야에서 사용빈도가 증가하고 있는 재료이다. 지르코니아는 zirconium dioxide 결정체로서, 1975년 Garvie가 'ceramic steer' 이라고 명명하였듯이 기존의 세라믹과 비교하여 뛰어난 물성을 지니고 있다. 즉, 높은 내열성과 낮은 열전도도, 산성에서 알카리성까지 이르는 내화학 안정성, 낮은 열팽창성, 높은 강도 및 경도, 내마모성을 가지고 있기 때문에 이전부터 공업용 재료로 넓게 시용되어 왔다. 지르코니아의 상변 이를 이용한 toughening방법이 Garvie에 의해 제시됨으로서 세라믹의 최대 단점인 취성은 어느 정도 극복할 수 있게 되었고 이를 계기로 금관 및 계속가공 의치, 임플란트 지대주, 인레이, 온레이 등 치과의 여러 분야에 지르코니아를 적용할 수 있게 되었다. 최근에는 임플란트 매식체에 있어서도 그 적용을 시도함으로서 심미치과치료에 있어서 중요한 부분으로 자리 잡고 있다. 현재 지르코니아는 치과용 세라믹 중에서 가장 높은 기계적 물성을 보이기 때문에 구치부 에서의 사용 가능성이 시도되고 있으며, 코어의 두께를 감소시킴으로써 보철 술식에서 필요한 강도 및 심미성 두 마리 토끼를 잡을 수 있도록 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이에 지르코니아의 역사 및 이론적 배경에 대하여 알아보고자 한다.
