  • Problems in feeding habits could affect various aspects of children including growth, learning, communication, interaction with other children, etc. Oral consumption was defined as a participant opening his/her mouth, accepting food/liquid, and swallowing. A goal of the study is to find a method of evaluation and intervention of a child's feeding habits. Feeding is an important component in the early development of children and may have later consequences in the child's ability to participate successfully in their activities of daily life. Children show personal difference on the foods which they try first because stimuli from the foods are revealed as a mealtime behavior through sensory registration and processing. Feeding problems in sensory processing consist of tactile oversensitivity, oral refusal, tactile undersensitivity, and oral dyspraxia. In order to identify problems of sensory processing among feeding difficulties and plan intervention, the understanding of neurological processing and sensory processing characteristics related to feeding is necessary. Reviewing intervention for feeding problems related to sensory processing is required for an effective approach for feeding and providing better life for children.

  • When a bomb explodes near a tunnel, generated muck should be quickly moved outside for rehabilitation of the tunnel. In this study, the amount of muck generated by an explosion was estimated and a methodology was presented for the prediction of the muck hauling time. To this end, 3D-meshes were made by using SoildWorks and blasting analyses were performed by using AUTODYN. A method was suggested to calculate theoretically the amount of muck which inflows into a tunnel based on the relationship between the tunnel and the fragmentation zone obtained from the analysis results. Also, muck hauling times were predicted based on the selection of construction equipment and the results were compared and analyzed. As a result, it was convinced that the amount of muck flowing into the tunnel could be effectively calculated by classifying the relationship between a tunnel and the fragmentation zone into 4 cases and using the mensuration by parts. Also it was confirmed that the closer blasting location is to the portal and the excavation surface of a tunnel, and the more blasting location deviates from the center line of the tunnel, the lesser amount of muck occurs and thus the muck hauling time decreases as well.

  • Big Data technology has been attracted much attention in aspect of fast data processing. Research of practicing Big Data technology is also ongoing to process large-scale structured data much faster in Relatioinal Database(RDB). Although there are lots of studies about measuring analyzing performance, studies about structured data loading performance, prior step of analyzing, is very rare. Thus, in this study, structured data in RDB is tested the performance that loads distributed processing platform Hadoop using Apache sqoop. Also in order to analyze the influence factors of data loading, it is tested repeatedly with different options of data loading and compared with data loading performance among RDB based servers. Although data loading performance of Apache Sqoop in test environment was low, but in large-scale Hadoop cluster environment we can expect much better performance because of getting more hardware resources. It is expected to be based on study improving data loading performance and whole steps of performance analyzing structured data in Hadoop Platform.

  • Applicability of Land-based MMS(Mobile Mapping System) having been increased gradually as digitalization of administrative operation and construction of integrated systems of the government and provincial government are growing up. As these requirements, the case can be occurred that the facilities should be surveyed rapidly in the specific area. At this case, the real time field processing method is more necessary than the post processing method and data processing speed should be an essential element as important as accuracy. In this study, the two space intersection methods used in photogrammetry were programmed and compared with each other to select more proper method for the three dimensional positioning in the field processing. Especially, at the analytic space intersection, the traditional close range terrestrial photogrammetry was modified and applied to that to adapt to MMS's characteristics that camera position and attitude are changed according to the vehicle movement. As a result, the difference of the accuracy between two methods is not significant but at the calculation time, the analytic space intersection is faster three times than the space intersection using collinearity condition.

  • In this work, the effect of fiber array direction including $0^{\circ}$, $0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}$, $0^{\circ}/45^{\circ}/-45^{\circ}$ was investigated for mechanical properties of basalt fiber-reinforced composites. Mechanical properties of the composites were studied using interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) and critical stress intensity factor ($K_{IC}$) measurements. The cross-section morphologies of basalt fiber-reinforced epoxy composites were observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Also, the surface properties of basalt fibers were determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). From the results, it was observed that acid treated basalt fiber-reinforced composites showed significantly higher mechanical interfacial properties than those of untreated basalt fiber-reinforced composites. These results indicated that the hydroxyl functional groups of basalt fibers lead to the improvement of the mechanical interfacial properties of basalt fibers/epoxy composites in the all array direction.

  • In the present study, kenaf fibers were treated with sodium hydroxide using soaking and ultrasonic methods prior to biocomposite processing, respectively. The effect of alkali treatment on the kenaf-PLA interfacial adhesion and mechanical and thermal characteristics of kenaf/poly(lactic acid) biocomposites was investigated in terms of their interfacial shear strength, flexural properties, dynamic mechanical properties and thermal stability and also microscopic observations of kenaf fibers and the composite fracture surfaces. As a result, use of both soaking and ultrasonic methods for treating kenaf fiber surfaces played a role in increasing the fiber-matrix adhesion and the mechanical properties of the biocomposites. Their characteristics depended not only on the fiber surface treatment method but also on the treatment condition like alkali concentration and treatment time.

  • This study was aimed to extend the marketing period through the postharvest application of fruit coating materials in early cultivar 'Tsugaru' apples. Postharvest application of fruit coating materials were effective on remaining freshness during storage and marketing. Prestorage waxing showed higher flesh firmness and weight loss was greatly reduced after storage. This tendency was continued even after marketing period. While no clear effect of prestorage Prolong application on keeping freshness was found, poststorage application of Prolong appeared to be most effective on the prevention of weight loss and keeping firmness during marketing. Parts of fruit developed $CO_2$ injury - like disorder regardless posthavest treatments but no trial was conducted to examine this disorder in this study. Further study should include to determine the cause of this disorder.

  • The existing SSD storage tester processed logs in a 1-N structure between server and client using TCP and network file system. This method causes some problems for example, an increase in CPU usage and difficulty in exception handling, etc. In this paper, we implement a log processing message layer that can deal with asynchronous distributed processing using open source messaging system such as kafka, RabbitMQ and compare this layer with existing log transmission method. A log simulator was implemented to compare the transmission bandwidth and CPU usage. Test results show that the transmission using the message layer has higher performance than the transmission using the message layer, and the CPU usage does not show any significant difference The message layer can be implemented more easily than the conventional method and the efficiency is higher than that of the conventional method.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of Vapor-dam treatment on drying drying rates, prevention of checks and V-shaped split during air circulating oven drying bamboo (Phyllostachys pubescens Mazel et Z) tube. It was shown that the drying time from green to around 7~8 % of moisture content was required less as drying schedule was more severe, and distinctly dominated by the drying rate during the initial drying stage. Area shrinkages in cross section and thickness shrinkages measured during air circulating oven drying test were very large. Surface checks and V-shaped splits were occurred in untreated samples just after the beginning of drying, while sixty seven percentages of all the Vapor-dam treated samples could be produced without drying defects. The V-shaped splits occurred in the Vapor-dam treated samples were influenced more by the sealing of the vapor evaporation through the cross section than drying schedule.
