Untangling the Way Smartphone-based Multiscreening Influences Attitude toward Mobile Video Advertising (스마트폰 기반 멀티스크리닝과 모바일 비디오 광고태도: 매개효과 검증)

  • This study aimed to explore whether and how smartphone-based multiscreening affects a consumer's attitude toward mobile video advertising. For the latter purpose, this study proposed and empirically tested whether perceptions of advertising informativeness and advertising intrusiveness mediate the impact of smartphone-based multiscreening on attitude toward mobile video advertising. The results of an online survey (n=155) indicated that smartphone-based multiscreening was significantly and positively related to consumer attitude toward mobile video advertising and that the effects of multiscreening were partially transmitted via perceived advertising informativeness. Unexpectedly, however, the mediating role of perceived advertising intrusiveness was not supported in this study.

A Bio-Edutainment System to Virus-Vaccine Discovery based on Collaborative Molecular in Real-Time with VR

  • An edutainment system aims to help learners to recognize problems effectively, grasp and classify important information needed to solve the problems and convey the contents of what they have learned. Edutainment contents can be usefully applied to education and training in the both scientific and industrial areas. Our present work proposes an edutainment system that can be applied to a drug discovery process including virtual screening by using intuitive multi-modal interfaces. In this system, a stereoscopic monitor is used to make three-dimensional (3D) macro-molecular images, with supporting multi-modal interfaces to manipulate 3D models of molecular structures effectively. In this paper, our system can easily solve a docking simulation function, which is one of important virtual drug screening methods, by applying gaming factors. The level-up concept is implemented to realize a bio-game approach, in which the gaming factor depends on number of objects and users. The quality of the proposed system is evaluated with performance comparison in terms of a finishing time of a drug docking process to screen new inhibitors against target proteins of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in an e-drug discovery process.

Analysis for Performance Deviation of Individual Cells in a Multi-Cell Test System for Rapid-Screening of Electrode Materials in PEMFCs (고분자전해질 연료전지용 전극물질의 빠른 스크리닝을 위한 멀티셀 테스트 시스템에서 개별셀의 성능편차에 대한 분석)

  • A multi-cell test system with 25 independent cells is used to test different electrode materials simultaneously for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). Twenty-five segmented membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) having the same or different Pt-loading are prepared to analyze the performance deviation of cells in the multi-cell test system. Improvements in the multi-cell test system are made by ensuring that the system performs voltage sensing for the cells individually and inserting optimum gaskets between the MEAs and the graphite plates. The cell performances are improved and their deviations are significantly decreased by these modifications. The performance deviations changed according to various cell configurations because the operating conditions of the cells, such as the gas flow and concentration, differed. This cell system can be used to test multiple electrodes simultaneously because it shows relatively uniform performance under the same conditions as well as linear correlation with various catalyst loadings.
