Interworking of Multimedia Services in B-ISDN and N-ISDN (B-ISDN 및 N-ISDN에서의 멀티미디어 서비스 연동)

  • Interworking architecture and scenarios are analyzed and proposed for seamless provision of multimedia services across 64 kbit/s-based N-ISDN and ATM-based B-ISDN. First, the functional architecture of multimedia service is analyzed, and the functions of each protocol layer are proposed. The architecture of multimedia services in N-ISDN is studied, and the functions of ATM protocol for multimedia services in B-ISDN are analyzed. We propose the interworking architecture of multimedia services across 64 kbit/s-based N-ISDN and ATM-based B-ISDN.

  • In this paper, a new visual telephone system which has a differential task interrupt transfer feature for real time video phone service is presented. Owing to the result of Interrupt transfer of different speed according to the time critical degree of tasks, the flow of audio and video data stream can be kept as constant speed in other word that means video phone services are carried out in real time. The ITU-T H.32x visual telephone recommendations are first analyzed, and the unsatisfactory items of existing systems are second inquired the cause, such as performance, quality. And then the design concept and ideas which enable it to solve them are third devised, the next, the new architecture of visual telephone system for real time video phone source are designed, which make it possible to solve the existing problems by means of different tasks interrupt transfer method.

  • This paper presents the design and the implemenration of a Mutiuser Multimedia Confernce System for synchronous groupwork.The infrastructure of this system is a hybrid srchiercture of centralized and replicated archietctures,that is to maintain sharde information cinsistently and to reduce the overhead of network traffic to the central part.The communication control of data for groupwerk managrment is centralized to the virtual node and the communication control of real data such as audio,video,text is replicated.In order ot provide a realtime audio and video processing,this system uses synamic queues and multithreads.
