Different multimedia services over networks not only require different amounts of bandwidth but also have different Qualify of Service (QoS) requirements. For example, QoS guarantees for higher priority calls is an important issue in multimedia communication networks. In this paper, we develop an adaptive bandwidth management algorithm, which is able to provide QoS guarantees for higher priority calls while accommodating as many heterogeneous multimedia call connections as possible. Our scheme, based on reservation and bandwidth adaptation, manages bandwidth based on real time estimates of current network conditions. Simulation results indicate the superior performance of our scheme providing excellent trade off between contradictory requirements.

In this paper, I presented that transformation of library from the collection management to knowledge contents management along with paradigm shift under the web-based multimedia information environment is required. Effective web contents management call maximize users'satisfaction with personal customizing services for library users. Especially, contents customizing service using the metabrowsing service contributes to maximize the user'satisfaction by supplying core contents that the user seeks. In this paper, I studied the scheme of knowledge contents management to increase of user'satisfaction, concentrating on the management factors of web-based multimedia knowledge contents and service strategy.

The heterogeneous LTE-Advanced networks comprising a macrocell and femtocells can provide an efficient solution not only to extend macrocell coverage but also to deal with packet traffics increasing explosively within macrocells. Efficient resource management schemes are necessary to maintain the QoS requirements of versatile multimedia applications in LTE-Advanced networks because their service-continuity may be defected by some delay and information loss. In this paper, we propose a resource allocation method for the heterogeneous LTE-Advancedl networks overlaid with femtocells. Performances are analyzed by simulation.

본 연구에서는 웹 기반 멀티미디어 공동 작업 환경에서의 다중 세션을 잘 유지하기 위하여 웹 노트 오류 제어를 위한 관리기에 대해서 기술한다. 웹 기반 멀티미디어 공동 작업 환경은 멀티미디어 협력 작업에 웹의 동기화 기술을 확장한 웹 노트, 즉 복제형 구조에 기반을 둔 응용 공유의 동작 원리를 이용하여 동기화를 수행할 수 있는 환경을 의미한다. 각 세션의 생성에 따라 서비스 제공자는 생성된 서비스 제공자 인스턴스를 생성하게 되고 이 인스턴스는 부모인 서비스 제공자의 자원을 이용하여 다수 세션을 지원한다. 이러한 환경에서의 웹 노트 오류 제어 시스템을 기술한다.

멀티미디어 서비스는 트래픽 특성이 비대칭이기 때문에 하향링크의 무선 자원 관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 여기서 제안되는 알고리즘은 기존의 전력 기반의 알고리즘을 조합한 하이브리드 형태의 알고리즘으로 현재 셀의 상황에 따라서 admission control의 형태가 바뀌는 방식이다. 본 논문에서는 하이브리드 형태의 알고리즘과 기존의 전력 기반의 알고리즘을 simulation을 통해서 비교 분석한다.

최근의 홈 네트워크 산업에서는 다양한 형태의 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스에 대한 관심이 높아지고 고객들의 요구도 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구진은 가정 내 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서비스에 특화된 룸브릿지 (Room Bridge) 레지덴셜 게이트웨이 하드웨어 플랫폼과 이를 기반으로 한 이더넷의 MPEG4 스트림과 IEEE1394의 DV 스트림 간의 실시간 트랜스코딩 스트리밍 서비스, 다중 스트리밍 서비스를 운용하기 위한 연결 및 자원관리 통합 미들웨어를 고안하였다. 본 논문에서는 이 솔루션의 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어의 구현 상황을 소개하고자 한다.

본 논문에서는 화상, 음성, 화이트보드 등과 같은 멀티미디어 자원들을 상호 연동하여 진행하는 참호참여환경 프레임워크인 DooRate이 갖고 있는 세션 진행 시 고정된 멀티미디어 자원을 사용하는에 따른 문제점을 개선하는 방법을 설계하였다. 이 설계를 통하여 다양한 형태로 실시간 세션을 변형시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 불필요한 미디어정보의 전송을 제거할 수 있어 시스템 및 네트워크 부하를 줄일 수 있도록 한다. 진행중인 세션의 변환 명령 패킷의 신뢰성있는 전송을 위하여 RMTL(Reliable Multipoint Transport Layer)방식의 IP Multicasting을 설계하였다.

A lot of talks on the Quality of services (QoS) so far were limited only either for the network itself or for the end system, But, recently it is becoming more important to have the seamless end-to-end QoS support to meet the networked multimedia service requirements This paper proposes the QoS based resource management architecture which supports the large scale distributed systems under heterogeneous environment. The architecture introduces a couple of key concepts such as abstractions and algorithms. Abstractions capture the three perspectivest found in all systems: application, resource, and system, on the ofter hand algorithms manage system resources based on information in the three abstractions. We also explain the on-line resource management flow as well as the benefit function which specifies the level of benefit accrued to the application user as a function of the level of service provided by the system. At the end of the paper, the QoS based resource management applied to the tele-seminar application is described to show its practical utilization.

일반 중소기업들의 업무는 수작업으로 데이터를 유지하고 있는 수준에 머물고 있는 실정이다. 인건비를 포함한 제반비용의 절감과 업무능률의 향상이 필요하다. 데이터 관리 및 유지를 위해서 효율적이고 신속 정확한 작업처리를 위해 데이터 베이스를 이용한 통합 자원관리 시스템이 구축이 필요하다. 이 프로젝트는 업무 효율을 높이기 위하여 데이터 베이스를 이용한 통합 관리 시스템을 개발하고 용이한 자료 추출을 위한 자료추출 엔진 및 출력 폼 개발 및 Network구성을 통한 분산환경에서의 사무자동화 구현을 목표로 개발하였다.

산업의 급속한 발전은 많은 폐자원을 발생시킨다. 특히 연안 지역은 특성상 다양한 산업들에 의해 여러 종류의 폐자원이 배출된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 연안역의 폐자원 데이터를 관리하고 활용하기 위한 데이터베이스를 구현하였다. 폐자원 및 폐자원 활용 데이터를 표현하기 위한 데이터 모델을 설계하고 구현하였다. 인터넷 환경에서 데이터수집미치검색을 효과적으로 지원할수 있도록 하였다.
