Development of a CD Program Applied Logotherapy for Psycho.Spiritual Care of Late Adolescents with Terminal Cancer (청소년 후기 말기 암 환자의 정서적.영적 돌봄을 위한 의미요법 CD 프로그램 개발)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a CD program of applied logotherapy for psycho spiritual care of late adolescents with terminal cancer. Methods: Keller & Song's ARCS theory and a model for developing learning materials was applied to develop this program composed four distinct phases: planning, designing, developing, and evaluation stages. Results: This program was entitled 'Finding meaning in my life' and consisted of 5 sessions and its educational contents were made up as follows: "First Secret" is 'learning three natures of the human mind', "Second Secret" is 'learning creative values first method to find meaning of life', "Third Secret" is 'learning experiential value as second method to find meaning of life', "Fourth Secret" is 'learning attitudinal value as third method to find meaning of life', and "Fifth Secret" is 'Becoming the master of my life'. The sub-menu was made up of 'Beginning', 'Opening mind', 'Learning'. 'Laughing Song', 'Experiencing'. Conclusion: This CD program applied logotherapy with flash animation technique as an emotional and spiritual nursing intervention program for easier and more scientific application in pediatric oncology and hospice care area.

Development of Multimedia Contents on Smoking Cessation Leadership Program for Health Care Professionals (보건의료인을 위한 금연지도자 교육용 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 개발)

  • Purpose: Health care professionals represent an immediately available resource to promote smoking cessation. However, the content in smoking cessation intervention courses in most institutions is insufficiently covered due to the limited number of class hours. The purpose of this study was to develop a comprehensive tobacco cessation-web-based, multimedia, educational program for a range of medical professionals. Methods: Based on Jung's Teaching and Learning Structure Plan Model, a development process was proposed comprising four stages: (1) analysis, (2) planning, (3) production, and (4) operation/evaluation. The effectiveness of the program was tested using quasi-experimental design, and the participants in experimental group were required to complete the program. Changes in the level of knowledge and attitude were measured. Results: The educational program developed includes nine topics and 26 sub-topics. A total of 180 storyboards, 15 videos, and 27 pictures were made. After the education, the level of knowledge was significantly increased in the experimental group. Conclusion: This web-based program can be recommended as a potential medium for health care professionals to use in counseling smoking cessation. The study findings also indicated that the program may be either offered as a teaching aid or utilized concurrently with lectures for students studying health care-related topics.

Development of a Web-based Java Applets for Understanding the Principles of Digital Logic Systems (디지털 논리 시스템의 개념학습을 위한 웹기반 자바 애플릿의 개발)

  • Recently, according to the appearance of various virtual websites using multimedia technologies for engineering education, the internet applications in engineering education have drawn much interests. But unidirectional communication, simple text/image-based webpages and tedious learning process without motivation etc. have made the lowering of educational efficiency in cyberspace. Thus, to cope with these difficulties this paper presents a web-based educational Java applets for understanding the principles or conceptions of digital logic systems. The proposed Java applets provides the improved learning methods which can enhance the interests of learners. The results of this paper can be widely used to improve the efficiency of cyberlectures in the cyber university. Several sample Java applets are illustrated to show the validity of the proposed learning method.

  • In this paper, an educational simulator of automobile chassis electronic control system was developed. The developed system is composed of three parts, a driving condition control & monitoring system, a chassis electronic system monitoring & analysis system, and a virtual simulator & educational multimedia contents. The driving condition control & monitoring system has a commercial real car simulator, hydraulic equipments for representing driving conditions, and a remote control and monitoring system. In the chassis electronic system monitoring & analysis system, information of various sensors and actuators applied to the system can be monitored by Labview programs. Finally, the suggested virtual simulator and the multimedia with 2D Flash and 3D animations can be used effectively by means of teaching materials.

  • 과학 기술의 발달은 그 반작용의 효과를 증대시킨다. 고성능 제품을 요구하는 고객의 추세는 증대되는 실정이다. 여기에, 각각의 산업, 기술과 제품의 융합이 실제로 일어나고 있다. 그러므로, 산업 디자인에 다른 영역에서의 융합은 광범위하게 일어나고 있다. 융합효과의 일례로 '웨어러블 컴퓨터'라는 것이 있는데 이것은 옷 내부에 어떠한 의사소통 수단과 멀티미디어 기능을 가진 옷과 컴퓨터의 기능 결합이다. 웨어러블 컴퓨터는 차세대 PC 또는 다음 세대에 PC와 인터넷의 결합이라는 최종 목적을 가진다. 본 연구에서는, 웨어러블 컴퓨터를 위한 교육 프로그램의 연구 및 개발을 통하여, 본 연구의 결과에 동반된 의복용 디지털 융합 제품이 소개될 것이다.

  • Smart device appeared as IT technology develops and it caused the proliferation of digital contents. It is because that App technology supports to install and use the contents in the smart device easily. App is developed by the creativity and the programming skill and the commercial value is generated in the process of development. In this paper, we taught how to develop APP to elementary school students by Android App Inventor program and observed the changes of their thinking through reflection-note which describes thinking of them. This research was carried out for 28 elementary school students, 5th and 6th grade. We found the attitude that students try to solve problem actively with the high interest. They enjoy showing developed App to others easily and quickly, which is the characteristic of smart devices. We also found a phenomenon that the students consider commercial value.

  • Scratch, one of the educational programming languages, provides a media-rich programming environment and easy interface to users. It supports Korean language and is utilized usefully in programming classes in elementary and middle schools. However, programming causes cognitive loads to young students. Because the programming process is a complex problem solving procedure that requires logical and abstract thinking abilities. Therefore, we developed a problem based scratch programming teaching and learning model to enhance intrinsic motivation of learners and to maximize the effects of using the scratch, educational programming language. The developed problem based teaching and learning model considered elementary students' characteristics. It was implemented in fifth grade elementary school classes and the educational effects of the model was analysed. The developed model was helpful in enhancing students' problem solving potential and logical thinking abilities.

  • This research analyzes the character factor in picture book, so the purpose is to develop the early childhood character program through Nuri curriculum. Picture book is the most familiar media for childhoods, and we are available it naturally in our lives. For this first, we analyze 6 elements(consideration, respect, cooperation, sharing, order, filial duty) in teacher's guide of the Nuri curriculum. Next, consulting the analyzed factors, the 12 picture books which will be utilized this program are chosen by the standard like literary, artistic, educational value. The chosen picture book devised total 12 times education plan to design each 2 times education plan in the factors for teacher's guide of Nuri curriculum. Lastly, it was finally developed through validation process by 2 teachers and 2 the professors of early childhood education. The developed program is needed later field application and It is required of the effectiveness verification after we apply 12 times activities on each age of childhoods for 3 to 5 years od in education field, so it may improve elements like consideration, respect, cooperaion, sharing, order, filial duty as childhoods experience this program personally. Also, this can provide it to teachers in childhood eucation field as study guidance plan.

  • In this study, a program for statistics education is developed. This program deals with statistical hypothesis testing which is indispensible to demonstrate the research hypothesis. Statistical inference which is the process of using data obtained from a sample to make inference about the characteristics of a population is an essential concept to peoples to learn or use statistics. But in practice, there are many cases of wrong application and peoples think that statistics is hard to understand. Therefore, it is very important subject to teach easily and rightly statistics, specially elementary statistics. This program is developed especially for non-specialist. This program under multimedia environment which includes sound, video, animation etc. can interest students greatly. It doesn't show only the result but make it possible for students to execute the program by stages. By executing it, the students can understand the method and meaning of statistical hypothesis testing naturally.

  • Nowadays it is required for a student to have the ability to select right things in quantity of knowledge and constructing those in the right way for the individual. Because memorizing a little bit of everything doesn't allow a person to work up to their potential and be the person society wants. In the basis on the revised Information and Communications Technology guidelines at elementary and middle school, it is demanded to start education in elementary schools. Meanwhile elementary school students usually feel bored or find it difficult in learing through the existing program. So I will plan the lesson by Scratch program for programming education and see the effect of this after using that method.
