Vision Inspection Method Development which Improves Accuracy By using Power-Law Transformation and Histogram Specification (멱함수 변환과 히스토그램 지정을 사용하여 정확도를 향상시킨 Vision 검사 방법 개발)

  • The appearance inspection of various electronic products and parts has been executed by the eyesight of human. But inspection by eyesight can't bring about uniform inspection result. Because the appearance inspection result by eyesight of human is changed by condition of physical and spirit of the checker. So machine vision inspection system is currently used to many appearance inspection fields instead of the checker. However the inspection result of machine vision is changed by the illumination of workplace. Therefore we have used a power-law transformation and histogram specification in this paper for improvement of vision inspection accuracy. As a result of these power-law transformation and histogram specification algorithm, we could increase the exactness of vision inspection and prevent system error from physical and spirit condition of human. Also this system has been developed only using PC, CCD Camera and Visual C++ for universal workplace.

  • This paper presents an integrated and automated inspection system using image processing technology for the automotive engine assembly process. The system make it possible for the inspected data to be entered directly from the machine vision into the statistical process control system. Such direct entry enables the prompt preparation of corrective actions against process problems. An IVP-150 machine vision board is installed within the PC for image processing, and a template matching technology is implemented to precisely verify quality factors. The developed system showed robustness to the problems of noise, distortion, and orientation.

  • The goal of image processing is to improve the visual appearance of images for human viewers. The histogram is an important tool which can be used as basic data of digital image processing. Therefore, to effectively manage a histogram in digital image processing is very important. Currently machine vision systems are used in many appearance inspection fields instead of inspection by human. However, the appearance inspection result by machine vision system is mainly influenced by illumination of workplace. In this paper, we propose a histogram transform method for improving accuracy of machine visual inspection. The enhancement effect of area feature is obtained by performing proposed histogram transformation in area that needs improvement The proposed algorithm is verified by appearance inspection of jig plate samples.

  • This research aims to design on an automatic machine vision system to replace eye inspection of alternator spool which is one of the key automotive parts. The alternator spool, plastic extrusion part would have various defects like unfinished, crack and burr. Through the design failure examples the optimized fast machine vision system will be designed to inspect all spools also focuses on the low cost machine for the middle sized company as 2'nd automotive supplier. 3-dimensional design softwares of Pro-Engineer & CATIA were used and the system were built based on the design. The system will contribute to satisfy the cycle time and can inspect each part in an absolutely accurate method, which is sufficient for industrial applications.

  • 평판 디스플레이(flat panel display)의 크기가 커짐에 따라 다양한 기판을 이용한 제조 방법이 개발되고 있다. 디스플레이 제조 공정 중 기판의 결함을 찾아서 분류하는 검사 시스템은 최종 제품의 품질을 결정하는 매우 중요한 부분이다. 본 연구는 머신비전 기술을 이용하여 불투명하고 반사율이 높은 기판 표면의 결함을 찾아내고, 이 결함을 스크래치(scratch), 흑결함(dark defect), 백결함(white defect)으로 분류하는 장치를 구현하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 구현하기 위해 본 논문에서는 정밀 스테이지(stage)와 라인 카메라(line CCD camera)을 이용한 광학계를 활용하여 검사 시스템을 구현하였다. 구축된 시스템을 이용하여 취득한 이미지를 12 개의 영역으로 등분하여 각각의 국부 영역에 대한 문턱값 연산(thresholding)을 적용함으로써 조명의 불균일을 의한 검출 에러율을 획기적으로 낮추었다. 간단한 컴퓨터비전 알고리듬의 채용으로도 검사 시스템의 구현이 가능함을 보였다.

  • Quality control in the smart factory manufacturing process is an important factor. Currently, quality inspection of home appliance manufacturing parts produced by the mold process is mostly performed with the naked eye of the operator, resulting in a high error rate of inspection. In order to improve the quality competition, an automatic defect detection system was designed and implemented. The proposed system acquires an image by photographing an object with a high-performance scan camera at a specific location, and reads defective products due to scratches, dents, and foreign substances according to the vision inspection algorithm. In this study, the depth-based branch decision algorithm (DBD) was developed to increase the recognition rate of defects due to scratches, and the accuracy was improved.

  • 스포츠 산업 응용 분야에서 공의 실시간 품질검사는 산업 생산성과 경쟁력 견지에서 중요한 이슈이다. 컴퓨터 비전 기반 자동 품질검사는 이 문제를 해결하는 하나의 방법이다. 머신 비전 시스템은 품질관리 및 산업프로세스의 실시간 피드백을 주어, 물리적인 제한과 사람의 주관적인 판단을 극복할 수 있다. 컴퓨터비전 기반 시스템에서 디지털카메라에서 취득되는 디지털이미지는 주로 24-비트 컬러이미지이다. 이처럼 많은 레벨을 가지는 이미지분석은 복잡한 이미지 처리기법을 필요로 한다. 그러나 실시간 애플리케이션에서, 한 부분은 실시간으로 검사되어져야 한다. 이 논문에서는 최적의 임계값을 사용하여 스포츠산업계의 산업요구 사항을 만족하는 골프공 품질검사 시스템을 개발하였다.

  • One of the most common applications of machine vision is quality inspections in automated production. In this study, a welding inspection system that is controlled by a PC and a PLC equipped with a multi-camera setup was developed. The system was designed to measure the primary dimensions, such as the length and width of the welding areas. The TCP/IP protocols and multi-threading techniques were used for parallel control of the optical components and physical distribution. A coaxial light was used to maintain uniform lighting conditions and enhance the image quality of the weld areas. The core image processing system was established through a combination of various algorithms from the OpenCV library. The proposed vision inspection system was fully validated for an actual weld production line and was shown to satisfy the functional and performance requirements.

  • 공장자동화는 국제사회 속에서 살아 남기 위한 필수 요건이 되었다. 값싼 인건비를 무기로 제품 경쟁에 뛰어 들고 있는 주변국가와 경쟁하기 위해서는 인건비 절감과 품질 향상이 필수적이다. 본 논문은 POS용 키보드의 생산공정 중에서 조립된 키보드 칼라 라벨을 자동 검사하는 시스템 개발을 최종목표로 하였다. 현재, 산업용으로 폭 넓게 사용되고 있는 머신 비전 측정시스템은 흑백의 영상과 비교적 간단한 물체에 초점을 맞추고 있다. 그러나, Fig.1의 POS용 키보드는 일반 컴퓨터용 키보드와는 달리 각각의 키가 칼라 라벨로 되어있기 때문에 기존의 흑백 머신 비전 시스템으로 자동화를 구축하기는 힘들다.(중략)

  • This paper proposes a vision-based inspection algorithm for a punch which is used when forming the head of the small screws. To maintain good quality of punch, the precise inspection of its dimension and the depth of the punch head is important. A CCD camera and an illumination dome light are used to measure its dimensions. And a structured line laser is also used to measure the depth of the punch head. Resolution and visible area depend on setup between laser and camera which is determined using CAD-based simulation. The proposed method is successfully evaluated using experiment on #2 punch.
