Pre-service teachers' motivation in group activities for developing knowledge for teaching and practical competency: The case of the task value (교수 지식과 실천적 역량을 위한 그룹 활동에서 예비교사들의 동기: 과제 가치 사례)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the qualitative characteristics of pre-service teachers' motivation while they are participating in group activities for developing mathematical essay assessment problem and revising it. For this purpose, we analyzed individual factors about group learning activities as well as contextual factors about practical competency (in developing and revising mathematical essay assessment problem through collecting data of student responses to the problem). As results of data analyses, autonomy, among individual factors regarding group learning activities, was one of the main characteristics in attainment value, utility value, and intrinsic value, whereas task, authority, and grouping, among contextual factors regarding practical competency, appeared to have a positive impact on task value. These results suggest how to think of specific ideas and articulate them in designing a curriculum to develop student-evaluation expertise for pre-service teachers.

  • Utilizing cross-functional project teams is an attractive organizing option, particularly in solving complex and innovative problems that require diverse sources of information, knowledge, and expertise brought by individuals from different functional backgrounds. This study is aiming at finding the group dynamics surrounding and inside the teams for the better understand what makes cross-functional project teams effective. Adopting variables from small group research and organizational context research, I extract critical antecedents, mediator, and team-coaching that lead to team performance. Data from 32 cross-functional project teams consisting of 214 individual respondents are analyzed through regression analyses for hypotheses testing. Results of the analyses demonstrate that the team process and team performance are significantly affected by the composition of competence in team and team compensation. Also I find that team-coaching as a leadership behavior has influence on team process and team performance. Some implications, future research directions, and limitations are discussed.

  • 군사 분야에서 사용하는 기존 영상융합체계는 영상에서 미확인 개체를 식별하는 Activity-Based Intelligence(ABI) 기술과 객체들에 대한 지식정보를 관리하는 Structured Observation Management(SOM) 기술을 연동하여 다양한 관점에서 분석하고 있다. 그러나 군사적인 목적을 달성하기 위해서는 미래 정보가 중요하기 때문에 주변 맥락 정보를 통합하여 분석해야 할 필요성이 있으며 이를 위해 주변맥락 정보를 분석하는 딥러닝 모델 적용이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 딥러닝 모델 기반 영상 판독 시스템 구축을 하기 위한 전처리 과정을 설계하였다. pyhwp 라이브러리를 이용하여 영상 정보 판독 데이터를 파싱 및 전처리를 진행하여 데이터 구축을 진행하였다.

  • This study can be expressed by gathered and formed into the exhibition space's structure practical progress/ application. For the one model of fascinating exhibition's space thru inter-space's pertinent adjustment, production between spactator and exhibition constituent on an exhibition story-line, I adjusted the focus to follow mentioned methods systematically for the example; An exhibition space is completed to be very impressive and attractive space by proper adjustment and production of M-M/C interface in exhibition storyline. Quantity space is transfered into quality space through the transmission of an exhibition which can be define as the point of an exhibition structure. And also could de transferd into a bodily sensation space that inherent full of interactive constituent. Changeable exhibition constituents (exhibition item and text) that sporadically expatiated (not trimed, the original form) in the process of an exhibition structure draw much higer quality of the optimal solution in optimize process which is given when aggregate again to contextual flow of synthetic exhibition scenario. Reconstruction of individual exhibition constituents to the new story, that is, transference of exhibition text to exhibition context is inspirit to an exhibition by maximize the exhibition effect in connection can be systematized through carrying out an outcentripetalpart. However, since pattern of an exhibition structure that consequtively meet variety spacetime of an exhibittion environmental can't be exist, this study presents centralizing the exhibition plan of Korea communication pavilion of the annual Expo Comm Wireress Korea, sustained process from design proposal, research and analysis to synthesis, development, transmission and management to an example of an applying crystallization.

  • The Web is evolving quantitatively into an explosive development. However, users usually have heavy burden of searching information because of the absence of contextual meaning on the Web. Due to an enormous amount of information, users have to endure for finding strong cohesive keywords by themselves and read each of the documents with enduring effort. This paper proposes an efficient method of searching more relative documents than current KEM-based searching systems on the Web by using contextual meaning. We designed a domain ontology on computer hardware, and a searching system which was searching those e-Learning objects. Owing to the Ontology-applied search system, information such as educational materials and related multimedia can be easily provided to the users. Further, learners could be informed of relationship of knowledge, e.g., class hierarchy, properties and values, and so on. The request results are semantically related to users' needs, and thus the system provides a learner-centered searching.

  • This study investigates human-robot interactions in a museum environment. Unlike robots in movies, robots in real life do not have 'personality,' but instead have a specific purpose and function. This research is primarily about the assignment of specific and appropriate personalities to robots in different contexts. Methods by which a definite personality can be imparted on a robot are discussed in this research. Previous research has addressed attempts to assign a robot personality based on the task context. However, the discussion of robot personality is incomplete. Therefore, we assumed that a robot's character was dependent on the characteristics of its location of use. We planned a $2{\times}2$ comparison of various robot personalities, i.e., introverted or extroverted paired with either a traditional museum or a process-oriented experiential experience. Based on Schmitt's (1999) strategic experiential modules, experiential factors were derived for each set of conditions. To achieve the objectives of the research, theoretical and empirical research were conducted simultaneously. The software JMP 9 was used to verify the research model and hypotheses.

Exploring the Contextual Elements of Book Use to Improve Book Recommender Systems (도서추천 시스템 개선을 위한 도서이용 맥락 요소 탐색)

  • In this study, in order to explore the contextual elements of book use that were overlooked in the existing book recommender system research, for 15 avid readers with various book search backgrounds, the contents generated in 6 book search situations were collected through the think-aloud protocol. By using content analysis from the collected book use contents, not only the internal and external appeal factors affecting book use, based on the 'appeal factor', the theoretical concept of the readers' advisory service, but also information sources and search methods regarding book use were identified and categorized. The results of this study can be used to extract and reflect meaningful attribute data in the future book recommender system design process.

  • Today there are many Web courseware systems for formative evaluation and feedback. Formative evaluation and feedback provided according to users' response in most Web courseware systems, however, are simple texts showing only whether correct or wrong, correct answers, relevant information, etc., far deviated from actual context. Thus such a system may weaken the corrective function of feedback and, as a result, reduce learners' understanding of contents and the possibility of learning transfer. In addition, according to the learning theory of constructivism, learning is influenced by the situation, in which it happens, and knowledge is learned and transferred differently depending on the context in which it is learned. In the background, this study designed and implemented a contextual error-correction feedback system that can provide feedback in a context closely related and similar to the relevant situation according to the response of learners when formative evaluation is carried out in Web courseware. In addition, it applied 'correction/correct-answer-providing feedback', 'relevant information providing feedback' and 'contextual error-correction feedback' to Web courseware for learning actual productivity S/W and verified if 'contextual error-correction feedback' is more effective than other two types of feedback for learners' academic achievement.

Effects of Object-Background Contextual Consistency on the Allocation of Attention and Memory of the Object (물체-배경 맥락 부합성이 물체에 대한 주의 할당과 기억에 미치는 영향)

  • The gist of a scene can be identified in less than 100msec, and violation in the gist can influence the way to allocate attention to the parts of a scene. In other words, people tend to allocate more attention to the object(s) inconsistent with the gist of a scene and to have better memory of them. To investigate the effects of contextual consistency on the attention allocation and object memory, two experiments were conducted. In both experiments, a $3{\times}2$ factorial design was used with scene presentation time(2s, 5s, and 10s) as a between-subject factor and object-background contextual consistency(consistent, inconsistent) as a within-subject factor. In Experiment 1, eye movements were recorded while the participants viewed line-drawing scenes. The results showed that the eye movement patterns were different according to whether the scenes were consistent or not. Context-inconsistent objects showed faster initial fixation indices, longer fixation times, more frequent returns than context-consistent ones. These results are entirely consistent with those of previous studies. If an object is identified as inconsistent with the gist of a scene, it attracts attention. Furthermore, the inconsistent objects and their locations in the scenes were recalled better than the consistent ones and their locations. Experiment 2 was the same as Experiment 1 except that a dual-task paradigm was used to reduce the amount of attention to allocate to the objects. Participants had to detect the positions of the probe occurring every second while they viewed the scenes. Nonetheless, the result patterns were the same as in Experiment 1. Even when the amount of attention to allocate to the scene contents was reduced, the same effects of contextual inconsistency were observed. These results indicate that the object-background contextual consistency has a strong influence on the way of allocating attention and the memory of objects in a scene.

  • 우리나라에서 항공기 착륙장치 - 위아(주)로 통한다. 이러한 등식이 통용되기까지 위아의 노력은 국내 유일의 항공기 착륙장치 전문업체라는 타이틀 이전에 우리나라 항공산업의 발전과정과 그 맥락을 같이 해오고 있다. 그 결과 위아가 보유한 항공기 착륙장치에 관한 제조기술 및 일부 설계기술이 국내 항공기술 축적의 자존심을 지키고 있다. 또한 위아가 항공기 부품사업에서 단계별로 쌓은 기술축적은 항공기 부품의 국산화 과정을 보여주는 대표적인 케이스로도 주목받고 있다.
