This study investigates how cultural differences between countries affect bilateral trade volumes, using Hofstede's cultural index that reflects nations' cultural characteristics. Empirical analyses of the impacts of Hofstede's five cultural characteristics on bilateral trade volumes are conducted either in each separate equation or simultaneously. Bilateral trade data of OECD countries plus China as of year 2010 is used for regression analysis on gravity model. Regression results from individual equation for each cultural index variable show tthe smaller the index gaps of power distances and uncertainty avoidance among countries, the larger bilateral trade volumes. On the contrary, the larger the index gaps of long-term orientation among countries, the larger bilateral trade volumes. If five Hofstede cultural indexes are regressed in a single equation, however, only variables of power distance and long-term orientation are significant. The analysis largely confirms that bilateral trade among countries with similar culture have much potrential to grow. It implies that policy actions for cultural proximity are very important for furthering bilateral trade.
The need for preparation for old life has been further increased due to the increase of the elderly population and changes in economic conditions today. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between income instability and the degree of preparation for old life and satisfaction of current life. The key variables were extracted through prior study review. And the data collected through the survey were statistically analyzed with a structural equation model. The analysis found that the indirect effect of the current income risk on the satisfaction of current life through the preparation for old life had a significant negative effect under the statistically significant level of 0.05. However, it was found that the direct effects of current income risk on the satisfaction of current life were not statistically significant. An additional analysis was conducted by dividing the age, the number of dependents by two groups respectively. To summarize the results, preparation for old life played a significant role as a prerequisite for improving the satisfaction of current life. And the variability(risk) of current income played an important role in preparing for old life. At this time, the degree of relevance between the factors(potential variables) differed somewhat between the two groups. The results of this analysis will be meaningful in providing basic source of data to prepare for a satisfactory life in each individual's current situation. This study, meanwhile, has limitations that have only been done with cross-sectional analysis and would like to analyze time-series changes in the future.

The purpose of this study is to examine the impacts of religious activities on the death anxiety and self appearance, life quilty of senior citizens in a bid to give some suggestions on how the elderly could lead a successful life. The subjects in this study carried out face-to-face interview targeting and convenience sampling 300 elderly people who were aged 65 and over and resided in the city of Gwangju. SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 7.0 programs were used to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows: First, whether there were any gaps in death anxiety and self appearance, life quality according to the type of religious life was examined, and that made significant differences to life satisfaction(F=9.498, p<.001) and self- esteem(F=9.370, p<.001). But that produced no statistically significant results in association with depression. Second, a confirmatory factor analysis was made to find out the relationship of religion to depression and psychological well-being, and most of their indexes were positive, which proved that the variables had something to do with each other. Last, a path model was analyzed to verify the relationship of the participation of the elderly people in religious activities to their depression and psychological well-being, and the GFI, AGFI, and CFI of the variables were above .80, which lent credibility to the validity of the study.

Focusing upon the post-adoption stage of IS, this study reasoned that IS users' personality is one of major influencing factors of continuous IS usage intention and empirically examined how the degree of continuous IS usage intention is variable according to the IS users' personality types classified based on MBTI(Myers Briggs Type Indicator). In order to validate the research model and hypotheses, this study made a field survey of 330 IS users and statistically analysed response data. The results of empirical analyses showed that the intent of continuous IS usage was affected by self-efficacy of IS; and self-efficacy by self-leadership of IS; and self-leadership by IS user' personality type and expectation confirmation. That is, it was found that IS users' personality type and three intervening variables(expectation confirmation, self-leadership and self-efficacy) were significant predictors of the intent of continuous IS usage. This study is thought to be contributive to providing the theoretical basis of finding IS success factors in the post-adoption stage and the practical guideline for effective personnel management relevant to IS implementation.

In most experimental researches on the liquefaction phenomenon, an earthquake as a random vibration has been regraded as a sinusoidal wave or a triangular wave with an equivalent amplitude. Together with the development in the part of signal control and data acquisition, dynamic experimental equipments in the soil dynamics have also developed rapidly and further more, several real earthquakes have been simulated in the large model test such as shaking table tests and centrifuge tests. In Korea, several elementary laboratory tests to simulate the real earthquake load were performed. From these test results, it was reported that the sinusoidal wave cannot reliably reflect the soil dynamic behavior under the real earthquake motion. In this study, 4 types of dynamic motions such as the sinusoidal wave, the triangular wave, the incremental triangular wave and several real earthquake motions which were classified with shock-type and vibration-type were loaded to find something new to explain the change of the excess pore water pressure under the real earthquake load. Through the detailed investigation and comparison on all test results, it is found that the dynamic flow is generated by the soil plastic deformation and the velocity head of dynamic flow is changed the pressure head in the un-drained condition. It can be concluded that the change of the excess pore water pressure is related to the pressure head of dynamic flow. Lastly, a new hypothesis to explain such a liquefaction initiation phenomenon under the real earthquake load is also proposed and verified.

Second, autonomy support of major students for security martial arts had a positive impact on harmonious passion. Third, autonomy support of major students for security martial arts had a impact on obsessive passion. Forth, intrinsic motivation of major students for security martial arts had a positive impact on harmonious passion. Fifth, intrinsic motivation of major students for security martial arts had a negative impact on obsessive passion. The results of structural equation modeling showed that intrinsic motivation partially mediated the relationship between autonomy support and harmonious passion. And the relationships between autonomy support and obsessive passion were completely mediated by the intrinsic motivation.
Korea domestic casino industry has been experienced an explosive growth marking the highest quantity and quality with rapid growth of domestic economy since the 1960s. However there are really lack of study about presenting guideline for establishing risk management planning reflected characteristics of casino industry. Therefore, we analyzed previous studies about concept of the risk and criteria and drew dimension of safety supervision reflecting characteristics of casino industry. we, also, identified detailed safety management factors as well as classified three dimensions of environment, human and facility on the dimension of safety supervision. This study was designed to examine effect relationship between risk management factors and performance of security management organization focused on The mediation effect of atmosphere of organization We used two different tools for data analysis: SPSS 18.0 for the descriptive statistics and PLS 3.0 to validate the integrity of the research model and proposed hypotheses that is main effects from risk management factors to security management organization and mediation effects of atmosphere of organization. Various PSC and steel-concrete composite railway bridges are being developed for short-medium spans with structural and economic efficiency. According to the design concept, the prestressed composite girder bridge has the advantages of being lightweight and having low girder depth, with the capacity for long spans. However, the dynamic behavior under a passing train is one of the critical issues concerning these railway bridges designed with more flexibility. Therefore, it is very important to evaluate the modal parameters before performing dynamic analyses. In this paper, real-scale prestressed composite girders were fabricated as a test model and modal testing was carried out to evaluate modal parameters including natural frequency and modal damping ratio. During the modal testing, a digitally controlled vibration exciter as well as an impact hammer was applied to obtain frequency-response functions, and the modal parameters were also evaluated after the fracture of test models. With application of reliable properties from modal tests, the estimation of dynamic performances of prestressed composite girder railway bridges can be obtained from various parametric studies on dynamic behavior under the passage of a moving train.

High performance steel for bridges(HSB 800) with a minimum tensile stress of 800MPa was recently developed. However, the study for local buckling behavior of plate girders considering interactive effects of flanges and webs is still insufficient. In this study, the flange local buckling(FLB) strength of plate girders with HSB 800 was evaluated by nonlinear finite element analysis. The flanges and webs of plate girders having I-section were modeled as 3D shell elements in the nonlinear analysis. Initial imperfection and residual stress were imposed on the plate girder. The high performance steel was modeled as a multi-linear material. Thus, parametric study of compression flanges with a compact, noncompact and slender web was performed. The flange local buckling behavior of plate girders was analyzed, and the nonlinear analysis results were compared with the nominal flexural strength of both AASHTO LRFD(2012) and KHBDC LSD(2012) codes.
