SK텔레콤은 1984년 차량전화서비스를 개시한 이래로 무선호출서비스, 아날로그 이동전화 서비스, CDMA 이동전화서비스, CDMA2000 1X/EV-DO 및 WCDMA서비스를 위한 이동통신망들을 연이어 구축해 왔다. 이러한 다양한 서비스 통신망을 구성하는 많은 망장비들을 관리하기 위해 통신망에 대한 망관리시스템 구축은 필수적이었고, 다양한 방식으로 망관리시스템 구축이 시도되었다. 비교적 짧은 기간내 통신망을 구축, 확대하고, 새로운 이동통신망을 도입하면서 기존망과 연동시키는 일들은 망장비에 대한 빈번한 패키지 변경을 낳았고, 이는 특히 망장비로부터 망관리 정보를 수집하고 망관리시스템으로의 보고를 담당하는 망관리대행자(Agent)의 안정성 및 유지보수 문제를 야기시켰다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기존에 개발되었던 망관리대행자들이 가지고 있던 다양한 문제점들을 제시하고 이를 해결하기 위한 망관리대행자에 대한 새로운 구축방안을 제시한다

Open Network Management Systems (NMS) are not sufficient to use in a large and complex computer network environment because many-year experiences and skills are requeired for using NMS. And also, customizing NMS means a difficult programming with API(Application programming Interface) supplied by NMs. The more intelligent NMS you want, the more difficult programming you must do. In this paper, we proposed an intelligent network management system suign a structure of multiple and distributed expert systems, so as to represent expertises and knowledges of network managers into rule format, maintain the knowledgesstructurally and perform the network managmenet intelligently. expert system for amanaging computer network should understand the management protocol, analyze messages from agents, take a proper action, and report the situations by pre-defined network operation principle and strategy. A multiple expert sytem is composed of monitor expert module, fault expert module and manager expert module which are controlled by enconded knowledges.

최근 네트워크 망이나 장비의 종류에 관계없이 다양한 망과 이기종간의 네트워크 장비를 통합하고 관리하기위한 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 현재의 SNMP만으로 다양하고 복잡해지는 네트워크를 관리하기에는 많은 한계점이 존재한다. XML[11]은 정보교환을 목적으로 고안되었으며 기업들은 앞 다투어 어플리케이션에 XML을 도입하여 정보교환의 새로운 모델로 사용하고 있다. 현재 XML은 분산환경이나 상호운용을 필요로 하는 어플리케이션 사이의 정보교환의 새로운 형식으로 자리잡고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 최근 네트워크 망이나 장비의 종류에 상관없이 다양한 망과 이기종간의 네트워크 장비를 통합하고 관리하기위한 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 그러나 현재의 SNMP만으로 다양하고 복잡해지는 네트워크를 관리하기에는 많은 한계점이 존재한다. XML은 정보교환을 목적으로 고안되었으며 기업들은 앞 다투어 어플리케이션에 XML을 도입하여 정보교환의 새로운 모델로 사용하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 망관리시스템의 기본 관리정책과 SNMP PDU 메시지를 XML로 정의하여, 다양한 장비와 망을 그 종과 수에 관계없이 통합관리할 수 있는 통합망관리시스템의 프로토타입을 제안한다.

If we are using SNMP based network management systems and we need to manage new OSI based network elements, we have to develop new network management system. Most of the networks, which are composed of diverse. heterogeneous network nodes, are managed by CMIP based management system. The development of new management system, however, is very costly. In this paper, we show the design and implementation of the SNMP based network management system with minor changes for the management of OSI network and network elements.

본 논문에서는 비동기 방식 IMT-2000 시스템에서의 망관리 시스템 구축 방안을 위한 방법에 대하여 기술한다. IMT-2000에서 제공되는 다양한 대역폭 기반의 고 성능 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 안정화된 시스템 구축을 주요 목표로, 고품질의 서비스를 위한 망의 안정화 방안으로 망관리 기술을 도입하고, 기본적인 망관리 기술이외에 망 관리 트래픽 관리 기법을 도입함으로써, 망 및 시스템의 최적 상태를 유지할 수 있도록 하기 위함이다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위하여 IMT-2000 에서의 망관리 시스템을 구축하기 위한 방법에 대하여 기술하고, 구축된 시스템을 통하여 발생하는 망 관리 트래픽 관리 기법에 대하여 기술한다.

현재 초고속 인터넷 서비스를 위한 ADSL과 같은 가입자 망 설비가 폭발적으로 증가하고 있으며 이를 뒷받침하는 백본 망으로는 ATM망이 있다. 백본-가입자 망에 대한 일관적 망 관리 시스템의 도입은 가입자에게 제공되는 모든 서비스에 대한 신뢰성, 안정성을 높일 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 분산 처리 망 관리 시스템을 개발하기 위한 객체 지향 개발 방법론을 설명하고, 그에 따라 NMS가 관리해야 할 망 자원들을 모델링 한 후, 실제 시스템의 구현까지의 실례를 설명한다. 구현 결과로 백본 ATM망의 각 망 자원뿐 아니라 가입자 ADSL망 설비까지 확장 관리할 수 있는 CORBA 기반 ATM 백본-ADSL 가입자 망 관리 시스템을 구축하였다.

In this paper, an integrated network management agent has been proposed and implemented to support different network management protocols, SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) for Internet and CMIP (Common Management Information Protocol) for OSI networks. We used MOVI (Managed Object View Interface) concept to integrate the different network management systems. We reviewed three models to design the integrated network management agent and then selected a suitable model among them. The logical structure of an agent, the implementation method and the operation of each module have been shown in this paper. The osimis and ucd-snmp network management system have been used as the reference systems for implementing our system. The integrated network management agent can support the internetworking between Internet and OSI networks in the aspect of network management. Using MOVI concept, if a new management system is introduced, internetworking with this can be achieved by adding the new interface on the view interface of managed object.

오늘날 분산 컴퓨팅 환경이 확대되면서 네트워크 환경은 점점 복잡해지고 어려워진 반면 상호 연결성은 더욱 강화되어 네트워크에 대해 신속하고 효율적인 관리의 필요성이 증가되고 있다. 또한, 다양한 통신 장비와 서비스들이 개발되고 있고, 이를 연결하는 통신망의 규모가 커지고 있으며, 망 구성 요소간의 이질적인 특성이 증가함으로써 통신망을 효율적으로 관리하기 위한 망 관리 시스템에 대한 관심이 증대되고 있다. 일반적인 망 관리 모델은 클라이언트/서버 구조에 근거한 중앙 집중형으로서, 망 관리시스템에 부하가 집중되며 망 확장성이나 실시간 관리 및 동적인 서비스 추가에 있어서 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 실행코드가 네트워크를 통해 스스로 이동하면서 작업을 수행하는 Java 기반 이동 에이전트 개념을 망 관리에 적용하고, 관리 대상들을 그룹화하여 망 관리 시스템의 부하분산과 동적인 추가 및 실시간으로 관리할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

As the size and complexity of networks increase, it is difficult to manage the whole network using single network manager, thus it is more resonable to manage the network using several network managers distributed on the network. Security interoperability should be supported among network management systems (NMSs)that use different management policies. In this paper, an algorithm that makes it posible to take a role into a role lattices is suggested to provide security interoperability among NMSs that have their own role lattices. In addition, security constraints are proposed to maintain the confidentiality and integrity of information by dynamically modifying the access rights of roles as the state of a system changes. Also, the security constraints are expressed using ECA rules in this paper.

최근 컴퓨터, 인터넷, 그리고 다양한 멀티미디어 자료를 이용한 정보통신기술(ICT) 활용 교육에 대한 사회적 요구가 증가하고 있다. 이로 인하여 각급 학교에서는 컴퓨터, 학내망 장비, 교육용 소프트웨어 등의 교육 정보 인프라에 대한 관리 및 관련 업무를 교육 정보부에 전담시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 정보화 기자재 및 소프트웨어 관리뿐만 아니라 학내망 관련 업무 효율을 높이기 위한 교육 정보 인프라 통합 관리시스템을 설계한다. 제안된 시스템은 웹을 기반으로 교육 정보부에서 관리하는 모든 관리 대장의 자료를 포함한다. 특히 제안된 시스템은 교육 정보부의 개별적인 관리대장 자료의 연관성을 분석하여 학내망 구조 기반으로 운용된다. 이를 위하여 학내망 장비를 위한 새로운 데이터베이스 레코드 형를 제안하고 이를 이용하는 학내망 구조 구성 알고리즘을 제안한다. 따라서 본 시스템은 사용자의 관리 대장 자료에 대한 접근을 학내망 구조 기반으로 수행할 수 있도록 함으로써 교육 정보부 업무에 대한 거부감과 업무 효율을 향상 시킬 것으로 기대된다.
