  • This paper describes the design of portable arrhythmia monitor and associated algorithm for automated diagnosis based-on microcomputer in the ambulatory ECG recording, analysis, and transmitting to a hospital host computer immediately through the telephone system. The device differs from Molter recorder in that it does not store normal ECG signals but captures and alarms the ECG during suspected abnormal periods and selected temporal epochs to a central hospital site. This porta file arrhythmia monitor makes use of a general purpose computer and software will be changed to meet the custom requirements of individual physicians and patients. At present it is very obvious that each cardiologist has his own method of analyzing ECG recordings and utilizes past experience more than the firm quantitative analysis of data.

  • This paper suggests several simple and efficient algorithms for detecting the ECG Signal by Microcomputer's software. The ECG signal detection was performed with the Linear Approximation and the feature extraction. The linear transformation approximates a given waveform by a piecewise-linear function with a preset upper bound on the absolute error between the functional values of the original function and the approximation. And the feature extraction from ECG signal, the features are different wave amplitudes, durations and interwave intervals, used the slope, the amplitude and time-Duration of ECG Sinal.

  • We investigate characteristics of viewing resolution improvement in three-dimensional integral imaging, when a dynamic lens array method is adopted. We show that the viewing resolution changes for different moving directions and distances of the lens array through computer-synthesized integral imaging. From this study, optimal moving conditions of the lens array for efficient viewing resolution improvement can be determined.

  • We proposed a technique to design a multimicrocomputer system for real-time parallel processing with an interconnection network which has good network latency time. In order to simplify the performance evaluation and the design procedure under the hard real-time constraints we defined network latency time which takes into account the queueing delays of the networks. We designed a dynamic interconnection network following the proposed technique, and the simulation results show that we can easily estimate the multimicrocomputer system's approximate performance using the defined network latency time before the actual design, so this definition can help the efficient design of the real-time parallel processing systems.

  • A local area network(LAN) controller is designed according to non-persistent CSMA protocols. By meas of a buffer register, a microcomputer interfaces with the LAN controller. To keep bus utilization near the optimal efficiencies, the transmission intervals are adjusted as a function of $2^n$. A message in the form of a packet consisting of 128bytes is transitted to the bus. The maximum transmission rate of 19.2Kbps is obtained at layer 1.

  • In resent years, aided by the power and capability of digital computation, the techniques of Walsh Transform have been exploited for applications in commun- ication and signal processing. This paper presents an approach of FWT by using a 16- bit word-length micro- computer. This FWT implements an in-placed decimation-in-sequency algorithm which improves processing speed and memory storage. Several examples illustrate the process and demonstrate the power spectrum of FWT and that of FFT for the waveforms

  • This paper describes the efforts to develop an PC based parameter identification system for the D.C. servomotor. The whole identification process of signal generation, measuring, parameter determination is fully automated. To minimize errors due to the ripple component in the measured armature current, digital averaging filter is employed. The proposed parameter correction method using the deadzone current and the time to reach the peak current resulted in excellent agreement between the measured current and estimated current using the model.
