이온질화 처리강 의 미끄름 마멸 특성 (The Sliding Wear Characteristics of Ion-Nitrided Steel)

  • 본 논문에서는 이온질화 처리강의 미끄름 마멸현상에 대하여 이론 및 실험적 으로 규명하고 종래의 질화법과 비교하였다. 또한 미끄럼 마멸을 나타내는 일반식 V/L=C*(P/H)를 이용하여 이온질화, 염욕질화 및 가스질화에서의 C 값을 구하였으며 여기에서 V는 마멸체적, L은 마멸길이, P는 마멸하중, H는 경도이며 C는 마멸상수이다.

  • The present study was undertaken to investigate the dry wear mechanism of the alumina ceramics in the purity variation for the wear of STB2. The wear test was carried out under different experimental condition various sliding speed, contact pressure and sliding distance. According as the alumina purity increased, wear volume of the STB2 decreased and minimum value of wear volume was over to high speed side. According as the sliding speed and sliding distance increased, friction coefficient decreased owing to drop of the shear strength, it decresed largely owing to decreased of elastic modulus and thermal conductivity with decrease in alumina purity. Indicative of minimum, value of wear volume, low speed side was abrasive wear, high speed side was wear of heat softening. The friction surface of ceramics protacted by oxide was transfer from STB2.

  • It is the effective method to diagnosis damage process of gear system such as automobile transmission to observe wear particle in gear oil. We tested with new transmission and took out gear oil according to drive distance. 4 shape parameters of wear particles in gear oil were calculated and wear volume were presumed with the image processing system. To be applied to damage diagnosis of gear system in transmission of automobile, we discuss number of wear particles, shape characteristics and total wear volume according to driving distance.

오스템퍼링한 구상점연주철의 부식환경중의 마멸특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wear Characteristics of Austempered Ductile Cast Iron in Corrosive Environments)

  • This paper is studied to know corrowive wear characteristics of austempered ductile cast ironin corrosive environments against mating SM45C hardened two test pieces in distilled water and NaCl aqueous solution. The corrosive wear mechanism was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and retained austenite volume fraction was investigated by X-ray diffractometer. The experimental result show that the corrosive wear characteristics depend largely on the $\textrm{Fe(OH)}_{3}$which is influenced by the critical sliding distance $L_{cr}$ and $L_{cr}$ shorted with increasing NaCl concentration. It was found that the carbides in matrix have a significant effect on their corrosive wear resisance and the fine acicular bainite showed corrosive wear resistance stronger than that of the coarse acicular and platelet bainite. From above results the model of corrosive wear mechanism in corrosive environments is proposed.

  • This paper was undertaken to analyze the morphology of wear debris for operating condition evaluatio of lubricated machine surfaces. The lubricating wear test was carried out under different experimental conditions using tile wear test device was made in our laboritory and wear testing spcimen of the pin on disk type was rubbed in paraffine series base oil, by varying specimen, applied load, sliding distance. The four shape parameters (50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) to describe morphology of wear debris have been developed and are outlined in tile paper. A system using such techniques promises to obviate the need for subjective, human interpretation of particle morphology in machine condition monitoring

  • The neural network was applied to identify wear debris generated from the lubricated machine surface. The wear test was carried out under different experimental conditions. In order to describe characteristics of debris of various shapes and sizes, the four shape parameter(50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) of wear debris are used as inputs to the network and learned the friction condition of five values(material 3, applied load 1, sliding distance 1). It is shown that identification results depend on the ranges of these shape parameter learned. The three kinds of the wear debris had a different pattern characteristics and recognized the friction condition and materials very well by neural network.

A system using such techniques promises to obviate the need for subjective, human interpretation of particle morphology for machine condition monitoring, this to overcome many of the difficulties with current methods and facilitating wider use of wear particle analysis in machine condition monitouing.

핵연료 봉의 마찰변태구조 관찰과 프레팅 마멸 특성 (Observation of Tribologically Transformed Structures and fretting Wear Characteristics of Nuclear Fuel Cladding)

  • In this research, fretting tests were conducted in air to investigate the wear characteristics of fuel cladding materials with the fretting parameters such as normal load, slip amplitude, frequency and the number of cycles. A high frequency fretting wear tester was designed for this experiment by KAERI. After the experiments, the wear volume and the shape of wear contour were measured by the surface roughness tester. Tribologically transformed structures(TTS) were analysed by means of optical and scanning electron microscopes to identify the main wear mechanisms. The results of this study showed that the wear volume were increased with increasing slip amplitude, and the shape of wear contour was transformed V-type to W-type. Also, it was found that the critical slip amplitude was 168${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. These phenomena mean that wear mechanism transformed partial slip to gross slip to accelerate wear volume. The wear depth increased with an increase of friction coefficient due to increase of normal load and frequency. The fretting wear mechanisms were believed that, after adhesion and surface plastic deformation occurred by relative sliding motion on the contact between two specimens, TTS creation was induced by surface strain hardening and wear debris were detached from the contact surface which were produced by the micro crack propagation and creation.

  • 본 연구는 오스템퍼링 온도와 유지시간을 변화시켜 오스템퍼링 한 저합금구 상흑연주철을 실험재로 하여 증류수 및 NaCI수용액 중에서의 부식마멸특성 및 그 기구 를 규명하여 Tribology 설계에 대한 자료를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다.
