An experimental study about integrated service environment based on e-mail by using rich internet application concept (리치 인터넷 어플리케이션 개념을 적용한 전자메일 기반의 통합 서비스 환경 구현 사례 연구)

  • The trend of the web is moving from portal-centered to user-centered, and RIA(rich internet application) is considered best solution for usability and functionality of the next generation web. But the lack of reference document or technical guide for RIA implementation is a big obstacle for extension of RIA environment to practical business engineer or user. In this paper, I will suggest the implementation conceptand reference site for user-centered environment based on RIA concept. The suggested concept support wire/wireless environment, and use the e-mail that is already used by many company or portal. The contents of this paper will be very helpful to the practical engineer or portal/company that want to use or implement about RIA environment.

Current Status and Problems of Bookmobile Services in Korea - Focusing on Human Resources, Vehicles, and Collections - (국내 이동도서관 서비스의 실태와 과제 - 인력, 차량, 장서 등을 중심으로 -)

  • This study aims to investigate current status and problems of bookmobile services in Korea, especially focusing on human resources, vehicles, and collections. To do this, a questionnaire that contained questions on basic information, human resources, vehicles, collections and information and communication technologies was developed on the basis of 8 standards and guidelines related to bookmobile services and 77 bookmobiles belonging to public libraries and Saemaul bookmobiles were surveyed. As a result, many parts of human resources, vehicles, and collections of bookmobiles in Korea were inadequate to standards and guidelines related to bookmobile services. At the end of this study, some suggestions are made for improving bookmobile services in Korea. First, the human resources, vehicles, and collections of bookmobiles need to be innovated. Second, national policies for bookmobile services need to be reinforced. Third, perspectives on bookmobile need to be modified from economic approach to information welfare approach.

  • A mashup is a web page or application that uses and combines information, contents or Open APIs available on the web to create a new service. The mashup developed by the need not combination of simple information can contribute to new added-values with practicality and convenience. Thus, in this paper, we want to develop a RIA-based dynamic mashup service for the users considering weather forecast and marine information importantly. We design and implement the system that it can register a number of information about a domain dynamically through registration process based on the map and present a mark of domain location on the map and the information including internal environment, external environment and weather of related to the domain within a webpage. Implemented service need not require a tedious process visiting other web sites every time to confirm the relevant information because we can see simultaneously related information with a map within a page.

A Study on Services and Programs of Bookmobiles in Korea (국내 이동도서관의 서비스와 프로그램 운영에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of services and programs of bookmobiles in Korea. To do this, a questionnaire containing 22 questions on basic information, scheduling and stops of bookmobiles, services and programs of bookmobiles, promotions and needs assessment and improvement requirements was developed on the basis of 7 foreign standards and guidelines related to bookmobile services. 74 questionnaires from bookmobiles belonging to public libraries and Saemaul bookmobiles were analysed. As a result, many parts of the results including operation days per week, stops per day, operation hours per stop, visiting cycle, circulation per day, circulation period and circulation volume and promotion conformed to foreign standards and guidelines but the others did not conformed to them. Also, there were more group differences in services and programs between bookmobiles belonging to public libraries and Saemaul bookmobiles than between bookmobiles in metropolitan cities and provinces in Korea.

"One Book" Reading Campaigns in Universities in the U. S. A. (미국 대학의 "한 책" 독서운동에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this research is to describe the characteristics of "One Book, One Community" reading promotion campaigns in which universities are involved in the U. S. A. Many universities and colleges in various communities participate in "One Book" campaigns in communities as leaders or partners, and promote reading for students on campus through either "One Book, One Campus" or "common reading programs." Universities can contribute a lot to "One Book" campaigns in communities by providing library collection, human resources, and facilities, and especially coordinating programs and events which require subject specialties. Also, they can promote the significance of reading literary classics. "Common reading programs" help freshmen easily adjust to campus life and build the sense of belonging to the "academic community" by reading the same book and talking about it with other members of universities.

  • This study seeks some ways to improve archives exhibitions by comparing with museum exhibitions. For this purpose, this study overviews the present state of domestic archives exhibitions and extracts some features compared to museum exhibitions. And it suggests some improvement ways for archives exhibitions especially based on comparative analysis of the special exhibitions held by National Archives of Korea and National Folk Museum of Korea in memory of the 60th anniversary of National Foundation. It derived some ways to facilitate archives exhibitions hereafter, they were targeting distinctive customers for each area, communicating proper message for the theme and target of exhibitions, orienting theme-typed exhibitions, reflecting customers' feedback, exhibition educational services' invigorating, neutral interpretation of modern archives, and offering material on life and cultural history in priority.

Tin Sulphide Thin Films Formed by Sulphidising D.C. Magnetron Sputtered Layers of Tin Using $H_2S$ ($H_2S$ 가스를 이용한 황화주석 박막 증착에 관한 연구)

  • Thin films of tin sulphide (SnS) have been formed by a novel 2-stage process where-in D.C. magnetron sputtering was used to deposit to thin films of tin (Sn) and the layers then sulphidised using 5% hydrogen sulphide ($H_2S$) gas in Argon. Although it was not found possible to deposit high quality thin films of tin directly onto glass substrates, excellent layers of tin were produced by using molybdenum (Mo) coated glass as the substrate material. The chemical and physical properties of the SnS layers formed were determined using scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive x-ray analysis, x-ray diffraction studies and using reflectance versus wavelength measurements and these related to the conditions of synthesis. The data shows that it should be possible to produce conventional "substrate structure" devices based on the use of this technology.

  • The title compound (C13H17NO2S) is monoclinic, space group P21/a, with a = 13.756 (3), b = 9.310(4), c = 21.305(3) $\AA$, $\beta$ = 95.0。, Z = 8, V = 2718.11 $\AA$3, Dc = 1.23$g·{\cdot}cm-3$, (Mo k$\alpha$) = 0.71069$\AA$,$\mu$ = 2.18 cm-1, F(000) = 1071.86, T = 298, R = 0.085 for 2935 unique observed reflections with I >2.0$\sigma$(I). The structure was solved by direct methods. The C-H bond lengths and the methyl groups are fixed and refined as their ideal geometry by allowing to ride on the parent atoms. Both molecules A and B have almost same structures except for two terminal ethyl groups. The ethylene-like skeleton including the nitro group in one molecule is nearly perpendicular to the plane of the methylbenzene group and two ethyl groups form a cis-type structure which has the dfferent orientations between two molecules; in the molecule A, two terminal methyl groups being the opposite directional arrangement against the plane of its skeleton, while in the B, with the same directional structure from its plane. The molecules in the crystal are packed together by non-bonded van der Waals forces.

  • In the situation where various social problems are raised due to rapid aging, how to send a long period of old age is emerging as an important issue. As the life span is extended, education for the elderly is attracting attention as a means of sending meaningful and effective old age that is about over 20years longer than before. This study aims to analyse the current status and characteristics of elderly education as lifelong learning in Japan where has already entered a super-aged society. This is because it will be expected to find meaningful lessons and implication for the development of education for the elderly in Korea, which is becoming more important. In order to complete this purpose, the literature review was conducted based on the data and reports published by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan which are institutions related to education for the elderly. Through this, the practical and policy support for the elderly education development in Korea was suggested. In specific, diversification of lifelong learning contents and execution places, expansion of out-reach education, and fostering coordinators were provided.

  • 국립대구과학관 천체 관측 핵심시설인 1m 반사망원경을 개발하고 설치 완료하였다. 본 발표에서는 국립대구과학관 1m 망원경의 시스템 사양과 개발 및 설치과정을 전반적으로 기술하고 앞으로의 활용계획에 대해 소개하고자 한다. 이번에 도입된 주망원경은 지난 2014년 11월부터 광학계 및 마운트 설계를 시작으로 2016년 5월까지 약 1년 6개월의 개발기간을 거쳐 설치 완료되었다. 순수 국내기술로 개발된 주망원경은 주경 1,000mm(부경 300mm)의 유효구경을 가지며 후방초점거리가 700mm인 초점비 F/8의 리치-크레티앙 방식의 광학계로 설계되었다. 레이저 간섭계를 이용하여 거울면 전체의 형상 오차를 정밀하게 측정한 결과 주경면 PV < ${\lambda}/4$, RMS < ${\lambda}/20$, 부경면 PV < ${\lambda}/10$, RMS < ${\lambda}/50$의 형상 정밀도를 가진다. 포크형태의 경위대식 마운트 구조로 방위각, 고도 양축과 디로테이터에 각각 모터가 장착되어 움직이는 다이렉트 드라이브 방식으로 구동된다. 최대 구동속도는 $2^{\circ}/s$이상, 포인팅 정밀도는 2'이하, 10분간 추적 정밀도는 3"이하(10분간 오토가이더 추적 정밀도는 1"이하)의 구동 성능을 가진다. 제어용 컨트롤 시스템은 JTCS(Justek Telescope Control System)를 사용한다. 성능 평가를 위해 시험 관측된 10~13등급 사이 10개의 별들에 대한 FWHM 측정결과는 4~5" 범위에 있다. 앞으로 지속적인 성능 평가와 업그레이드를 통해 향후 정밀도를 높여 학술 연구용으로 공개할 예정이다. 이번 국립대구과학관 1m 주망원경의 도입으로 지역 천문교육 프로그램이 한 단계 더 도약할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
