Separation and Identification of Polycyclic Aromatic Compounds in Pyrolysis Products of Cellulose and Lignin (셀룰로오스와 리그닌의 열분해 생성물중의 여러고리 방향족화합물의 분리와 동정)

  • Separation and identification of the polycyclic aromatic compounds (PAC) from pyrolysis products of cellulose and lignin were performed using a combination of acid-base solvent partitioning and silicic acid column chromatography with fused-silica capillary column gas chromatography/ mass spectrometry. Sixteen PAC were positively identifited by retention indices and mass spectra data. Both materials produced the same kinds of PAC. But lignin produced much more PAC than cellulose. Almost no highly carcinogenic heterocyclic PAC containing nitrogen and sulfur were produced.

  • 대마에 대한 분석 결과, 인피 섬유의 경우 리그닌 함량은 7.6%로 다른 목질계 바이오매스나 일년생 초본류와 비교하여 매우 낮은 리그닌 함량을 나타냈으며 탄수화물 함량은 65.4%로 목질계 바이오매스와 유사하고, 초본류보다는 오히려 높았다. 목부는 리그닌 및 탄수화물 함량이 활엽수와 유사한 경향을 나타내었는데 특히 높은 자일란의 함량이 확인되었다. 또한 회분 함량이 인피섬유와 목부에서 각각 5.0%와 2.3%로 낮은 값을 나타내어 당화 및 발효 공정에 적용될 때 회분에 의한 공정 장애(스케일링 등)의 가능성을 낮추어 줄 것으로 사료되었다. 최종적으로 이러한 화학적 분석을 통해 대체에너지 생산을 위한 자원으로서 대마의 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

Depolymerization of Kraft Lignin at Water-Phenol Mixture Solvent in Near Critical Region (물-페놀 혼합 용매의 근임계 하에서의 크래프트 리그닌의 저분자화)

  • Plant biomass has been proposed as an alternative source of petroleum-based chemical compounds. Especially, aromatic chemical compounds can be obtained from lignin by depolymerization processes because the lignin consist of complex aromatic materials. In this study, kraft lignin, the largest emitted substance among several kinds of lignin in Korea, was used as a starting material and was characterized by solid-state $^{13}C$-Muclear Magnetic Resonance($^{13}C$-NMR), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FT-IR), Elemental Analysis(EA). The depolymerization of kraft lignin was studied at water-phenol mixture solvent in near critical region and the experiments were conducted using a batch type reactor. The effects of water-to-phenol ratio and reaction temperature($300-400^{\circ}C$) were investigated to determine the optimum operating conditions. Additionally, the effects of formic acid as a hydrogen-donor solvent instead of $H_2$ gas were examined. The chemical species and quantities in the liquid products were analyzed using gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy(GC-MS), and solid residues(char) were analyzed using FT-IR. GC-MS analysis confirmed that the aromatic chemicals such as anisole, o-cresol(2-methylphenol), p-cresol(4-methylphenol), 2-ethylphenol, 4-ethylphenol, dibenzofuran, 3-methyl cabazole and xanthene were produced when phenol was added in the water as a co-solvent.

  • In this paper, we investigated the carbonization characteristics of lignin hydrochar prepared by hydrothermal carbonization and established a model for predicting the carbonization degree using near-infrared spectroscopy and partial least squares regression. The carbon content of the hydrothermally carbonized lignin at the temperature of 200 ℃ was higher by approximately 3 wt% than that of the untreated sample, and the carbon content tended to gradually increase as the heating time increased. Hydrothermal carbonization made lignin more carbon-intensive and more homogeneous by eliminating the microparticles. The discriminant and predictive models using near-infrared spectroscopy and partial least squares regression approppriately determined whether hydrothermal carbonization has been applied and predicted the carbon content of hydrothermal carbonized lignin with high accuracy. In this study, we confirmed that we can quickly and nondestructively predict the carbonization characteristics of lignin hydrochar manufactured by hydrothermal carbonization using a partial least squares regression model combined with near-infrared spectroscopy.

  • 리그닌 생분해의 분해경로 및 매카니즘에 관한 연구가 최근 Kirk와 Higuchi 등에 의하여 활발히 연구되고 있다. 특히, Phanerochaete chrysosporium이 생산해내는 Lignlnase를 이용하여 매우 가치있는 연구 결과를 얻고 있다. 본 총설에서는 Kirk와 Higuchi의 허가를 얻어서 그들의 논문을 중심으로 리그닌의 중요한 결합 양식 별로 즉, ${\beta}$-O-4, ${\beta}$-5, ${\beta}$-1, ${\beta}$-6, 5-5 등의 결합 모델 화합물들의 분해경로 및 매카니즘에 관하여 조사 정리하였다.

  • 알카리 리그닌의 착색구조(着色構造)를 확실(確實)히 하기 위(爲)하여 리그닌 모델 화합물(化合物)인 바니릴알콜을 질소하(窒素下)에 알카리로 처리(處理)하였다. 그림-1과 같이 ${\alpha}$-1 결합(結合)인 화합물(化合物) I., ${\alpha}$-1와 ${\alpha}$-5의 결합(結合) 구조(構造)인 화합물(化合物) II, III, IV와 ${\alpha}$-5결합(結合) 구조(構造)인 화합물(化合物) V를 단리(單離) 동정(同定)하였다. 이들 화합물(化合物)은 공기산화(空氣酸化) 및 알카리 처리(處理)에 의(依)해 착색(着色)되었다.

  • This study was carried out in order to obtain the effect of active alkali concentration. Sulfidity 25%, maximum temperature 170$^{\circ}C$, cooking time 3hrs., liquor to wood ratio 5 : 1 in the kraft cooking conditions were maintained. Active alkali concentration were varied at intervals of 3% between 12% and 24%. The rates of de lignification increased with an increase in active alkali concentration and beatability, brightness, and strength of pulp also improved. The total pulp yield trand to decrease with an increase of active alkali concentration. The maximum screened pulp yield were obtained between 18% and 21% A.A.. Therefore, the optimum active alkali concentration was 18~21%.

  • 리그닌분해능(分解能)이 높은 균주(菌株)로 선발(選拔)된 Coriolus versicolor-13 (CV-13), LKY-7 및 LKY-12세 균주(菌株)에 대하여 균체외(菌體外) laccase 생산(生産)을 검토(檢討)하였다. Glucose-peptone broth에서 균체외(菌體外) laccase활성(活性)은 CV-13의 경우 3일 이상배양후(以上培養後)에 나타났고 LKY-7과 LKY-12균주(菌株)의 laccase 활성(活性)은 배양(培養) 2일째에 검출(檢出)되었다. 탄소원(炭素源)으로서는 maltose가 glucose와 비슷한 laccase 생산효과(生産效果)를 나타냈고 질소원(窒素源)으로서는 유기태질소(有機態窒素)가 무기태(無機態) 질소(窒素)보다 효과적(效果的)이었다. Laccase 유도물질(誘導物質)로서는 2,5-Xylidine이 가장 우수하였으며 1mM 이하(以下)의 농도(濃度)에서는 유도효과(誘導效果)가 크게 나타났으나 1.5mM 이상(以上)의 농도(濃度)에서는 laccase생산(生産)이 억제(抑制)되었고, 균사생장(菌絲生長) 초기(初期)에 첨가(添加)하는 것이 효과적(效果的)으로 나타났다. SDS-PAGE 후, CV-13 균주(菌株)의 균체외(菌體外) 단백질(蛋白質)에서는 약 69, 66, 25, 23, 19kDa 크기의 laccase band가 5개 나타났고 LKY-7 균주(菌株)에서는 27kDa과 19kDa 크기의 2개 band가, LKY-12 균주(菌株)에서는 22, 20, 17kDa 크기의 laccase band가 3개 나타났다.

아세톤을 사용한 목질계 바이오매스의 가용매 분해에 대한 연구

  • Pyrolysis products of woody biomass were consistedofvarious linear hydrocarbon, aromatics or condensed cyclic compounds. In order to obtain biomass pyrolysis products, more equipments and time were needed. But solvolysis of woody biomass with acetone easily obtained decomposition products and enhanced conversion rate(18.72%, max.) from woody biomass than pyrolysis of woody biomass. Beacause solvolysis with acetone improved conversion rate (26.64%, max.) of lignin. the whole conversion rate was improved. But above $300^{\circ}C$, lignin showed lower conversion rate, so the whole conversion rate decreased. Solvolysis products of woody biomass with acetone were same as pyrolysis products. Above $400^{\circ}C$, methoxy phenols were completely disappeared.
