전방향성 액추에이터를 위한 제어 방법 (Control Method of Omni-directional piezoelectric actuator)

  • 본 연구에서는 전방항성 초음파 액추에이터의 제작, 시뮬레이션, 구동 드라이버 제작, 제어 방법에 대하여 연구하였다. 우선, 시뮬레이션 툴인 ATILA를 사용하여 전방향성 초음파 액추에이터를 설계하였고 구동 주파수, 어드미턴스 특성 그리고 액추에이터의 움직임을 분석하여 최적의 구동 주파수 영역을 파악하였다. 실제 구동을 확인하기 위하여 액추에이터 스테이지와 구동 드라이버를 개발 하였다. 전방항성 액추에이터 스테이지의 구조는 액추에이터와 4개의 볼 베어링이 알루미나 볼을 압착하는 형태이며 세라믹에 인가되는 사인파의 위상차에 의하여 4개의 방향으로 구동 할 수 있다. 또한, 액추에이터를 위치 제어를 위하여 로터리 엔코더 두 개를 사용하여 구의 움직임을 파악하였고 PID 제어기법을 사용하여 액추에이터의 움직임을 제어하였다. 스테이지 구조상 엔코더의 $70^{\circ}$ 내에서만 구동 가능하며, 실험 결과를 통하여 전방향성 초음파 액추에이터는 약 $1.2^{\circ}$의 분해능을 가지고 구동영역 내 원하는 좌표로의 이동이 가능했고, 향후 고 정밀 관절 및 인공 눈에 응용 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

승용차의 차량 롤 제어를 위한 시스템 구현 (Implementation of Roll Control System for Passenger Car)

  • A System for reducing vehicle body roll by active control is developed. The stabilizer bar with hydraulic rotary actuator produces anti-roll moment which suppresses roll tendency. This reduction of roll improves the driving safety as well as the ride comfort. Vehicle test data shows considerable reduction of roll angle during steady-state turning. Also improvement of ride comfort is achieved by making the actuator freely rotatable, i.e. by connecting all chambers of actuator in normal driving conditions. A control algorithm using steering wheel angle and vehicle speed signal as input valve is applied. It is compared with signal of the G-sensor.

  • The goal of this paper is to improve the position control performance of pneumatic rotary actuator with variable brake using Magneto-Rheological Fluid. The air compressibility and the lack of damping of the pneumatic actuator bring the dynamic delay of the pressure response and cause the oscillatory motion. In this study, a variable rotary brake comprising Magneto-Rheological Fluid is equipped to the joint of a pneumatic manipulator. Experiments of step response have proved that the transient response of the manipulator could be improved compared with that of the conventional control algorithm by using a phase plane switching control algorithm.

자동차용 유압식 시트댐퍼의 댐핑 메카니즘에 관한 연구 (Study on the Damping Mechanism of an Hydraulic Type Automotive Seat Damper)

  • Typically, the seat of an automotive vehicle generally includes a horizontal seat-cushion portion and a vertical seat-back portion that is operatively connected to the seat-cushion portion. The seat may include a recliner for the reclining of the seat-back portion relative to the seat-cushion portion by the seat occupant. An energy absorber or damper can also be provided for the seat-back portion. Because the recliner is configured to be released at a relatively high speed, and it results in an impact at the end of a folding stroke, the damper needs to dissipate energy as the seat back moves with respect to the seat cushion; therefore, the role of the seat damper in the automotive-seat design is important. In this paper, the mechanism of an hydraulic-type automotive-seat damper is investigated, and the torque characteristic is simulated according to the design-parameter variations such as the orifice area and the working-fluid properties.

  • This paper introduces a control algorithm for trajectory control of an electro-hydrostatic rotary actuator. A key feature of this paper is that an adaptive PID based on sliding mode is used to control the nonlinearity and uncertainty factor of single input/output system. Accurate knowledge of rotary actuator angle can result in high-performance and efficiency of electro hydraulic system. First, the position control is formulated using the adaptive PID with sliding mode technique and uncertainties in the hydraulic system. Second, the controller can update the PID gains on-line based on error caused by external disturbance and uncertain factors in the system. Finally, three experimental cases were studied to evaluate the proposed control method.
