After the modern age, the rapid urbanizationhad a big impact on the then architecture. R. Venturi and A. Rossi are two of the leading architects, developing architecture in cities in the US and Europe respectively. This study shed light on a tangible and intangible meaning and interpretation of urban landscapes through their architectural thoughts and architectures. The followings are the physical and intangible meaning and interpretation in architectural thoughts and works of those two architects. Venturi understood that iconological landscapes at the roadside in large citiesare the nature of physical landscapes. To Venturi, the façades of buildings at the roadside are a part of signage such as traffic lights and road signs, and those façades have the meaning of symbolic systems beyond simple physical landscapes. To A. Rossi, types of buildings as physical townscapes are a key role supporting raw data of classification in architecture. And also, those types have significance of the basic data shedding light on the principles and history of cities. For intangible factors in R. Venturi's architecture, daily routine, function and use, time, a use for a building and others form complex architecture. And also, those factors describe shared values of the same period as the façades of buildings and complex symbols and formative lexicons in metaphorical terms. For A. Rossi's intangible factors, 'collective memory' is buried in inhabitants of the city, and with that, the city is a place for memory to its inhabitants. What is more, cities' monuments have intangible landscapes like 'sustainability', 'permanence' and so on. With lots of events happening throughoutcities, those monuments are the whole images of cities giving the value to the urban buildings that reside in cities. Finally, R. Venturi's all-encompassing complex architecture concept was extended on a tangible and intangible point of townscapes. It was found that A. Rossi's tangible thought was formed from the whole landscape of historic cities in then Italy as the background of time and place. Also, With types of urban buildings and 'collective memory', A. Rossi drew architectural norms and formats of unchangeable types.

본 연구는 국가직무표준(National Competency Standards, NCS)에서 제시한 시각디자인 직무를 적용한 캡스톤디자인 운영사례를 통해 시각디자인 전공 분야 학생들의 시각디자인 실무능력 변화와 캡스톤디자인의 활용 가능성을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 동의과학대학교 시각디자인전공의 '커뮤니케이션 디자인 프로젝트' 교과목을 수강하는 2학년 학생과 담당교수, 그리고 산업체가 협업하여 '연예인 로버트 할리의 캐릭터디자인' 과제를 중심으로 연구를 진행하였다. 이 과정에서 학생들은 '커뮤니케이션 디자인 프로젝트'에서 배운 전공 이론과 실기를 '연예인 로버트 할리의 캐릭터디자인' 개발에 직접 적용해 보고 그 결과물을 공모전에 지원하게 된다. 수집된 학생 설문 분석, 산업체 평가, 공모전 수상 등의 자료를 분석한 결과, 캡스톤디자인에 참여한 시각디자인 전공 학생들은 NCS에서 제시한 지식, 기술, 태도의 관점에서 시각디자인 직무에 대한 이해도가 높아졌으며 과제를 수행하는 과정에서 문제해결기술과 실무능력이 고취되었음을 보여주었다. 따라서 본 연구에서의 캡스톤디자인 교육설계가 현장실무중심 시각디자인 교육과정 개발에 유용한 기초자료가 될 수 있을 것으로 여겨진다.

본 논문에서 에지를 검출하기 위해 개선된 에지 검출 방법들이 제안되었으며, 정확하고 빠른 검출을 위해서 임계값을 사용한 이진화 영상들이 실험에 사용되었다. 각 방법들의 실험적인 분석을 위해서 기존방법들과 개선된 방법들을 비교 분석하였다. 여기에서 기존방법들은 소벨, 로버트, 프리위트방법들이다. 그리고 개선된 방법들은 기존 방법들의 마스크 변위를 적용하였다. 개선된 방법들의 장점은 에지들의 침식이 많이 발생하지 않았고, 명확하게 에지를 검출할 수 있었다. 특히, 실험적인 분석을 위해서 의료영상에 그레이 영상을 사용하였고, 명확한 에지를 검출하기 위해서 결과영상에 대해서 임계값을 적용하였다. 각 방법들의 정량화 된 분석을 위해서 의료영상에 대해서 히스토그램을 적용하였다. 결론적으로, 기존 방법들과 개선된 방법들을 다수의 의료영상들의 분석적인 그래프에 적용시켜서 개선된 방법들의 장점을 증명하였다.

언더그라운드 만화는 1960년대에 히피문화를 반영하여 시작된 만화의 한 흐름이다. 자연으로의 회귀를 외치며, 인간성이 상실된 전쟁과 물질문명 사회제도를 부정하는 히피문화를 반영한 언더그라운드 만화는 급진적이면서 유머러스한 방식으로 반문화를 표현하였다. 로버트 크럼(Robert Crumb)은 만화집 시리즈 발간을 통하여 히피문화의 특징을 적극적으로 만화에 반영하였다. 특히 는 히피에게 큰 호응을 얻었고, 이로 인하여 언더그라운드 만화가 더욱 발전하게 되는 계기가 되었다. 만화집 에는 보수 중산층의 숨은 욕망을 표현한 '화이트맨(Whiteman)'과 으스대면서, 웃으며 걷고 있는 모습의 캐릭터로 히피 문화 속의 젊은이들의 모습을 표현한 '킵 온 트럭킹 (Keep on Truckin')' 등의 작품이 있다. 는 출판과 유통에 있어서 독립성을 기하였고, 히피문화를 반영한 다양한 캐릭터 중심의 만화였고, 히피문화의 특징을 구불구불한 선과 점, 강렬한 명암 대비로 그래픽적 효과가 우수하게 표현한, 언더그라운드 만화의 특징이 잘 표현된 작품이다. 이 만화들은 당시의 영웅주의적인 만화에서 벗어나, 사회문화의 풍자적 표현이 보다 더 자유로운 언더그라운드 만화시대의 문을 여는데 큰 역할을 하였다.

Robert Frost's poetry has generally been considered fairly readable partly because of the simplicity or down-to-earth-ness of the messages that go along with the poet's projected public image and the 'traditional' forms he used. Against the grain of such general perception, this study reads some of the early poems of Robert Frost to re-characterize the beginning of the poet's career as a modernist attempt to challenge the dominant poetic conventions of the time: the genteel conventions. In reading the poems, this study focuses on frost's strategic method of using the speaker or persona regarding the delivery of meanings. Those readers who would like to find the immediate presence of Frost's voice in the poems, fail to distinguish the speaker and the poet, readily accepting the face value of what the speaker tries to convey: those messages which are in line with liberal individualism, like self-reliance, autonomous self, work ethics, etc. Frost's speakers, however, are rarely the mouthpiece of the poet himself. Rather, they are fictional characters who, while on the surface of the text appear to be hammering out a stable theme out of their everyday experience, under a heuristic scrutiny of the textual structure, turn out to be undermining the logic or the rationality of the theme, which can be identified as a modernist textual strategy that challenges the traditional conventions regarding the stability of meaning in a poetic text.

This paper aims at analyzing Robert Southey's Thalaba the Destroyer in relation to cultural colonialism of the British Romantic period and investigating the ways in which this text portrays the Other through its literary representation of the East. Especially, this paper attempts to show that the Oriental world constructed in Southey's text reveals the imperial subject's self-conscious awareness of its unstable relation with the unknown Other. For this purpose, this paper attends to the formal aspects of Thalaba the Destroyer, examining the process by which the reader's generic expectations about the "epic" undergo complex revisions and frustrations through reading this text. The epic elements contained in Thalaba the Detroyer include the battle between good and evil and the hero's moral epiphany arising from his struggle against malicious enemies. Yet, Thalaba the Destroyer constantly destabilizes the distinction between self and other by leading the reader to recognize the uncomfortable similarity between the poem's tyrannical figures and imperialistic monarchs in the Western civilization. Thus, when the hero enacts a revolution against despotism, the resistant power points not only to the imagined false kingdom within the text, but to the core of the real Empire that seeks to construct its own "garden" in the global scene. In addition, Southey's "panoramic" description of Oriental objects and stories in his footnotes lacks a framing perspective, erasing and de-stabilizing subject/object distinctions. In these footnotes, he exposes his profound attraction to the culture of "Other" and also conveys his aspiration to transforming Eastern myths and stories into profitable literary texts. Southey's attitude to the East in the footnotes appears to be partially grounded upon the interest of mercantile capitalists of the West, who need to discover potential commodities. Yet, simultaneously, he reveals a sense of moral hesitation about his own desire for the materiality of the East, along with deep anxiety arising from the fear of punishment.

본 연구는 미국의 사료공장 중 주종을 이루고 있는 형식을 분석하여 일반적인 Model로 개발하였고 이 Model을 설계할 수 있는 Computer Program을 개발하였다. Model에 적용된 규모는 10ton/hr로부터 50ton/hr이었고 종류는 돼지 및 닭 사료공장과 완전히 pellet화된 소 사료공장이었다. 개발된 Computer Program은 1개의 Main Program과 3개의 Subprogram으로 구성되어 있고 29개의 Input data을 사용하게 되어 있다. 이 Computer Program의 output은 다음과 같다. 1. 공장의 Dimension 2. 곡물저장 및 원료 bin의 수량 및 규모 3. 각 기계의 규모 및 성능 4. 총 작업시간 및 전기 소요량 위와같은 사료공장의 일반화 된 Model 및 이를 설계하기 위한 Computer Program은 사료 생산의 소요동력, 노동력 및 투자자본까지 추정할 수 있게 하였으며 이 분야에서 학문적으로 처음 시도하여 본 것이다.

이 논문에서는 우주의 진화와 관련하여 미분이 불가한 여러 시점을 포함한 경우의 곡률을 계산하기 위하여 비틀림적 공간에 적용하여 프리이드만 로버트슨워커의 우주모델을 연구하였다. 특히 천체 물리학적인 관점에서 본 복사-물질우세기, 물질-우주상수 우세기의 두점을 포함한 경우의 곡률을 계산하였다.

고상 발효의 기초적인 애커니즘을 규명하기 위하여 고행화된 배지속에 8앙 효모을 증식시켰마. 이때 실험 배지는 Maxon ] Johnson배지 이었으며, 고형화 물질로는 갈근에서 얻은 전분을 푸깨비로 6-12%를 첨가하였다. 전분이 6-8% 첨가 될때 보 다도 10←12% 첨가될 때 효모의 증식이 8-24시간에서 훨씬 빨랐으며, 단백잘의 분바양도 전분을 10% 첨가 하었을때 10-24시 간에서 가장 높았다.

특정컬러정보 검출기반의 이동객체 탐색 알고리듬을 구현한다. 입력 이미지에 대해 조도변화 및 노이즈 제거 등을 위해 전처리 과정을 거치고, 이동객체 탐색은 R,G,B 각 채널의 영상차를 이용하여 객체를 검색한다. 실험 결과 검색 속도는 윤관선 탐색 및 정합법에 비해 15% 향상되었고 안정적이다. 또한 컬러 정보 기반의 객체 탐색이 가능함을 제시하였다.
