A Study on Correction of Airborne Laser Scanning Intensity Data (항공레이저스캐닝(ALS) 반사강도의 보정에 관한 연구)

  • 최근 항공레이저스캐닝(ALS)은 높은 정확도와 경제성을 이유로 지형정보를 획득하는 탁월한 수단으로 주목받고 있다. ALS에 의해 수집되는 고도자료는 DSM, DEM 제작에 유용하게 이용된다. ALS는 고도자료 이외에 지표면의 물질적 특성을 나타내는 반사강도를 획득한다. 그러나 반사강도는 노이즈로 인해 널리 이용되지 못하고 있으며, 노이즈의 주원인은 반사각으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 센서 위치정보와 ALS 고도자료를 이용하여 반사각을 이용하여 반사강도를 보정하는 방법을 제안하였다 여기에는 ${\theta}$의 각도로 입사한 레이저의 강도는 수직으로 입사한 레이저의 강도보다 $sin{\theta}$만큼 감소한다는 물리학적 원리가 이용되었다 반사각은 지표면과 레이저가 이루는 각으로, 센서와 측정점 사이의 각과 지표면의 경사각의 두 단계로 나누었다. 방법의 적합 여부를 확인하기 위해 적외선 영역에서 분리도가 잘 이루어지는 아스팔트, 휴경지(토양), 콘크리트, 수목의 네 가지 검증영역을 선정하여 보정된 반사강도와 보정 전의 반사강도를 비교하였다. 모든 영역에서 반사강도가 증가하였으며 특히 콘크리트와 수목에서의 증가가 두드러졌다. 보정을 통해 네 영역에서 반사강도의 분리도가 향상됨을 물론 그 크기가 '아스팔트<토양<콘크리트<수목'으로 나타나는 이론적인 경향과 유사함을 확인할 수 있다.

  • Space debris has been a major issue recently for the space-active nations because its growing population is expected to increase the collision risk with operational satellites. Radar and electro-optical system has been used for space debris surveillance, which may cause unnecessary anti-collision manoeuvers due to their low tracking accuracy. So an additional tracking system is required to improve the predicted orbit accuracy and then to jude the anti-collision maneouvers more efficiently. The laser tracking system has been considered as an alternative to decrease these unnecessary manoeuvers. Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute has been developing a space object laser tracking system which is capable of laser tracking for satellites with retro-reflectors and for space debris using high power laser, and satellite imaging using adaptive optics. In this study, the tracking capability is analyzed for space debris using high power laser based on link budget, false alarm probability and signal detection probability.

Power Transmission Line Hazardous Material Surveillance System Implemented Laser Scanning (레이저를 이용한 송전선 위해물질 감지시스템)

  • In this paper, we implemented a surveillance system for the power transmission line protection from heavy-duty fender-bender. Laser scanning technology was applied for system design. It was analyzed detailed functions for designed system. Measured detection rate and error rate that are monitoring parameters for both studied system and conventional system were 100%, 0% and 95.8%, 2.1%, respectively. Measurement showed that studied system is almost perfect and better than conventional system. Because this system provides the information to frontline workers with managers of heavy equipments that have possibility of accident, it can be applied to surveillance system for the transmission line protection.

  • The The contactless railway abrasion measurement system have to satisfy two conditions to increase the measurement accuracy as follows. The laser region projected on the rail have to be extracted without the geometrical distortion. The mapping of the acquired laser region data on the rail profile have to be matched with the cross section of rail, exactly. But, the conventional railway abrasion measurement system is required the post image processing with a camera model and a perspective transform for the exact mapping between the cross section of rail and the coordinate data extracted from a line laser region or the raw image obtained from a camera because the image captured from the camera has an oblique viewpoint. So, the measured rail profile data had limits to the measurement accuracy because of a discontinuity point. In this Paper, we propose the 3D rail profile reconstruction method to increase the accuracy of the railway abrasion measurement system applying the modified camera model and perspective transform to the image obtained from the bidirectional rail.

  • Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy(LIBS) system is being developed as an in-situ analysis system for the radioactive waste glass in the cold crucible melter. In order to complete the LIBS system, a spectrometer, a detector, and a laser were structured. An ESA 3000 (LLA Instruments GmbH, Germany) including a calibrated Kodak KAF-1001 CCD detector was selected as the spectrometer. A Q-switched Nd-YAG Brilliant(Quantel, France) laser was selected as an energy source. As the first research stage, the excitation temperatures of Fe(I) as a function of the detector's delay intervals(500, 1000, 1500, 2000ns) were evaluated using the Einstein-Boltzmann equation. The optimized excitation temperature of Fe (I) was 7820k at the delay time of 1500㎱ using the 532nm Nd-YAG laser pulse. This LIBS system will be optimized under the real environment vitrification facility in the near future and then used to be in-situ analyzed the glass compositions in the melter qualitatively.

  • Road surface measurement is an essential process for quantifying the degree and displacement of roughness in road surface management. For safer road surface management and quick maintenance, it is important to accurately measure the road surface while mounted on a vehicle. In this paper, we propose a sophisticated road surface measurement system that can be measured on a moving vehicle. The proposed road surface measurement system supports more accurate measurement of the road surface by using a high-performance line laser sensor. It is also possible to measure the transverse and longitudinal profile by matching the position information acquired from the RTK, and the velocity adaptive update algorithm allows a manager to monitor in a real-time manner. In order to evaluate the proposed system, the Gocator laser sensor, MRP module, and NVIDIA Xavier processor were mounted on a test mobile and tested on the road surface. Our evaluation results demonstrate that our system measures accurate profile base on the MSE. Our proposed system can be used not only for evaluating the condition of roads but also for evaluating the impact of adjacent excavation.

  • 산업계에서의 다양한 제품 개발로 인해 새로운 형상 측정기술이 요구된다. 칩패키지와 실리콘 웨이퍼로 대표되는 광산란 표면 특성을 가진 제품들의 형상 측정은 거친 표면을 가진 반면 수마이크로의 형상 측정 정밀도를 요구하기 때문에 기존의 측정법으로는 기대하는 성과를 이루지 못해왔다. 현재까지 기존의 정통적인 측정법을 통해 측정 시도되어 온 방법들은 다음과 같이 두 방법으로 요약된다. 첫째, Kwon과 Han등은 경면(specular surface)을 측정하던 정통적인 간섭계에 10.6$\mu$m파장의 $CO_2$레이저를 광원으로 사용함으로써 가시광선 영역에서의 광산란 표면을 적외부 영역에서 경면화 하여 측정하였다.   • Catenary and Pantograph are used to transmit electrical energy to electric railways. Catenary (Overhead Contact Lines) should be installed precisely and managed for stable train operations. But external factors such as weather, temperature, etc., or aging affect catenary geometry. Changed catenary stagger and height cause high voltage spark or instant electric contact loss. Big spark derived from contact loss can damage the pantograph carbon strip and overhead contact lines that might interrupt the train operations. Therefore, to prevent a big scale spark or electric contact loss, catenary maintenance are required catenary geometry measurement systems with catenary maintenance capability. In this paper, we describe the development of catenary height and stagger measurement system. The catenary height and stagger measurement system uses Acuity company's AR4000 Laser Range Finder for distance measurement and AccuRange Line Scanner for degree measurement. This system detects suspicious overhead line sections with excessive stagger and height stagger variance.

A Real Time Distance Measurement System Using the Stereo Vision (스테레오 비젼을 이용한 실시간 거리 측정 시스템)

  • 본 논문에서는 인간의 머리부분을 흉내 낸 시각 시스템으로서, 4 축의 각도 조절이 자유로운 시스템에 두 개의 CCD 카메라를 연결하여 실시간으로 입력되는 영상 데이터로부터 레이져 포인터의 위치 정보를 추출한 후 주 카메라를 이용하여 시스템 전체를 레이저 포인터의 중심위치로 이동한 후 버전스 각도(vergence angle)를 이용하여 실시간으로 오브젝트의 절대거리를 측정하는 효과적인 시스템을 제안하였다. 객체까지의 거리는 교차식 카메라를 적용한 스테레오 비전 시스템을 사용하여 삼각측량의 방법으로 거리를 측정하였다. 실험결과 객체에 대한 거리 측정 오차가 평균 2% 나타남으로써 제안한 알고리즘을 이용한 이동객체의 거리측정 가능성을 제시하였다.

Development of seam tracking sensing system for welding environment with wall (벽이 있는 용접 환경을 위한 용접선 검출 시스템 개발)

  • Both ends of welding line are often closed by wall in the welding of ship blocks. In this research, seam tracking sensing system for butt welding in the condition with wall was developed. Seam tracking sensing system measures position of carriage from wall and detects root-pass of welding line. The system consists of the laser displacement sensors and ultrasonic sensors. The laser displacement sensor reciprocal1y rotates by the motor and measures a distance from laser sensor to the welding material. The ultrasonic sensor measures a distance between welding system and walls. The distance measured by the ultrasonic sensor is used to get X(driving) position and to determine initial and end point of the weld line. Y(weaving) and Z(height) of the weld line are obtained by the distance measured by the laser displacement sensor and the orientation of the sensor. The sensing system includes the controller that is independent from the welding carriage. The seam tracking sensing system is attached to both side of welding carriage so that interference between welding torch and sensing system can be avoided during the welding. And both side sensing system minimize dead zone. Finally, developed sensing system was adhered to welding carriage and verified usefulness by experiments.
