A Study of the Optical System of a Time-of-flight Laser Distance Sensor for a Long Distance with Minimized Divergence Beam Angle (빔 확산각 최소화를 통한 장거리 측정용 ToF 레이저 거리센서 광학계 설계 연구)

  • In this paper, a study is conducted on the design of an optical system of a time-of-flight (TOF) laser distance sensor that can measure long distances by minimizing beam divergence. When measuring a long distance, the amount of light on the object's surface decreases as the distance increases, due to the diffusion angle of the laser beam, and thus the beam at the sensor also decreases, causing measurement errors. In general, a cylindrical lens is used to reduce the divergence beam angle. However, an optical system using a cylindrical lens has the problem of degraded performance due to the difficulty with assembly tolerance, as well as the problem of the increased size of the optical system, and thus the use of aspherical lenses has been increasing recently. Therefore, in this study, the optical efficiencies and assembly tolerances of optical systems using respectively a cylindrical lens and an aspherical lens are compared and analyzed.

  • We propose a method for accurate image acquisition in a machine vision system in the present study. The most important feature is required by the various lenses to implement real and of the same high quality image-forming optical role. The input of the machine vision system, however, is generated due to the aberration of the lens distortion. Transformation defines the relationship between the real-world coordinate system and the image coordinate system to solve these problems, a mapping function that matrix operations by calculating the distance between two coordinates to specify the exact location. Tolerance Focus Lens caused by the lens aberration correction processing to Galvanometer laser precision machining operations can be improved. Aberration of the aspheric lens has a two-dimensional shape of the curve, but the existing lens correction to linear time-consuming calibration methods by examining a large number of points the problem. How to apply the Bilinear interpolation is proposed in order to reduce the machining error that occurs due to the aberration of the lens processing equipment.

  • The output characteristics of a ceramic Nd:YAC laser pumped by a fiber-coupled laser diode was investigated. An efficiency and a slope efficiency of 33.8 % and 39.3 % respectively were obtained, under an output coupler reflectance of 90.4 %. The laser power has decreased suddenly due to the thermal tensing effect more than 6 W pumping powers.

  • 원자력발전소의 전열관 보수용접 기술 개발을 위해 Inconel 600 재질의 plate 판에 레이저 용접실험을 수행하였다. 레이저 발진기로 부터 발진된 레이저 빔은 광섬유를 통하여 전송되고, 집광렌즈군를 이용하여 용접이 이루어지도록 하였다. pulse 레이저 용접 변수인 펄스폭, 반복율, 첨두출력 및 용접속도를 변화시키면서 용접결과를 측정하였다. 이에 따른 적절한 용접범위를 제시하였다.

  • A silicon lens and an insulator of pyrex, components of a micro-electron column, should be assembled by aligning and stacking simultaneously. An optical alignment of a diffraction beam and a laser welding were employed for the assembly of a source lens and an Einzel lens with precision within $\pm$4% for the maximum aperture size. The experimental condition for optical alignment and laser welding are explained. Anodic bonding was used to assist in stacking lenses. A micro-electron column of smaller apertures assembled with precise alignment and fabrication was tested with a current image of a Cu grid of 9$\mu$m in linewidth, and showed a higher resolution in acceleration mode.

  • Resonator stability condition, $M^2$ beam quality factor, and laser output power are analyzed for two types of two-rod Nd:YAC lasers with rod-end curvatures. Two laser rods with rod-end curvatures are positioned closely to each other or placed separately near each resonator mirror. Experimentally, the output powers and $M^2$ beam quality factors of those lasers are measured with and without thermal birefringence compensation, and compared to numerical analyses.

  • 마이크로 컬럼은 차세대 리소그라피 기술의 하나로 마이크로 컬럼의 기능이 기존의 전자빔 컬럼을 능가하여 주목을 받는다. 초소형 전자빔 컬럼은 기존의 전자빔 컬럼과 비교하여 수차, 렌즈의 크기 및 원형에 성능이 보다 민감하게 반응하므로 정확한 정렬과 가공 기술은 초소형 전자빔 마이크로 컬럼의 성능에 매우 중요하다. 그러나, 기준치 piezoelectric transducer (PZT)나 scanning tunneling microscopy (STM)을 이용한 정렬 기술은 매우 복잡하고 어려운 단점이 있다. 본 연구에시는 레이저 회절 패턴방식과 레이저 정밀 가공으로 실리콘 렌즈와 파이렉스 spacer를 정확하게 교대로 조립하였으며, 이 방법으로 완성된 마이크로 컬럼의 STEM동작을 조사하였다.

  • 레이저 프린터나 디지털 복합기(MFP:MultiFunction Peripheral)에 탑재되는 레이저 기입 광 학계에는 주사 광학 소자(fθ렌즈, fθ미러)나 폴리곤 스캐너라는 광학 장치가 사용되고 있다. 본 고에서는 레이저 기입 광학계에 사용되는 광학 장치를 중심으로, 이들을 대상 으로 하는 최근의 계측 기술을 설명하면서 2020년을 향한 향후의 전망에 대하여 설명하 기로 한다.

  • The characteristics of an optical system vary depending on wavelength and ambient temperature. Based on the thin-lens approximation, we investigate the conditions for stabilizing an optical system against wavelength and temperature variations at the same time. The conditions are applied to designing a laser scanning system consisting of two lenses. The change in the effective focal length of the scanning system against wavelength and temperature variations is very small, as expected.
