  • Suspended sediment concentration (SSC) is a crucial riverine parameter in terms that it can be utilized for analyzing sediment transport, stability assessment of river and structure and so on. However, in case of domestic, sediment discharge data are not enough because of using conventional sediment samplers. This study aimed at developing a practical technique for estimating suspended sediment concentration in high spatial and temporal resolution by building relationship between acoustic backscatter (or SNR) from H-ADCP with actually observed data using LISST-100X. In this regard, a dedicated correction algorithm was proposed particularly for the adapted H-ADCP (SonTek SL-3000). Then, a SNR-SSC relation was built based upon a real-scale field experiment, where both H-ADCP and LISST-100X were concurrently operated to observe SNR and SSC, respectively. The coefficient of determination for the developed regression equation of SNR-SSC relation was around 0.85~0.88, thereby the relation could be evaluated to be highly correlated. The result of this study might be potentially applied for real-time and simultaneous observation of SSC when H-ADCP could be applied.

  • Although vehicles become more intelligent for convenience and safety of drivers, traffic accidents are increased more and more. Especially, car-to-car single rear impacts in the urban area are increased rapidly because of driver inattention. To prevent rear impacts in the urban area, commercial automobile vendor applies the low-speed short-distance collision warning system. This paper presents low-speed short-distance collision warning algorithm for the city driving by using sensor fusion of laser sensor and ultrasonic sensor. An experiment using embedded microprocessor in the driving track was used to demonstrate the feasibility of the collision warning algorithm.

  • This paper proposes a non-destructive ESPI technique to quantitatively evaluate defects inside a semiconductor package. The inspection system consists of the ESPI system, a thermal loading system and an adiabatic chamber. The technique is high feasibility for non-destructive testing of a semiconductor and overcomes the weaknesses of previous techniques, such as time-consumption and difficult quantitative evaluation. Most defects are classified as delamination defects, resulting from the insufficient adhesive strength between layers and from non-homogeneous heat spread. Ninety percent of the tested samples had delamination defects which originated at the corner of the chip and nay be related to heat spread design.

  • robots determine the location of the other robot using wireless sensors. Use it to decide how to move his. And go to any location, will make shape of column and line, circle. In this paper, we discuss problem in circle formation enclosing target which moves. It is method about enclosed invader in circle formation based on mutual localization of swarm robot without infrastructure. Therefore, use trilateration that do not need to know the value of the coordinates of reference points. So, Specify enclosed point for the number of robots base on between the relative position of the robot in the coordinate system. And particle filter is proposed to improve the accuracy of the location.

  • This review explores recent advancements in microfluidic crystallization techniques utilizing energy from external sources on a small scale. We focus on four representative types of external sources: ultrasound, laser, microwave, and electric field, emphasizing their impact on crystal formation. This highlights the benefits of using external sources in crystallization, such as improved crystal quality, structure formation, and changes in physical properties. Providing a comprehensive overview of crystallization techniques employing external sources, the paper discusses the potential developments in the field of crystallization through the application of these external energy sources.

  • Recent evolution of computer technology enhances the effectiveness of CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis for the 3-dimensional complex transport phenomena including turbulent flows. Cheaper and easier than laser and ultra-sonic methods, the windows simulator name by CAMSI(Computer-Aided Management of Stereo Images) has been developed in order to implement the 3-dimensional image using a disparity histogram extracted from left and right stereo images. In our program using the area-based method, the matching pixel finding methods consist of SSD(Sum of Squared Distance), SAD(Sum of Absolute Distance), NCC(Normalized Correlation Coefficient) and MPC(Matching Pixel Count). On performing the program, stereo images on different window sizes for various matching pixel finding methods are compared reasonably. When the image has a small noise, SSD on small window size is more effective. Whereas there is much noise, NCC or MPC is more effective than SSD. CAMSI from the present study will be much helpful to implement the complex objects and to analyze 3-dimensional CFD around them.
