  • The history of Chechnya is characterized by the resistance against the invasions of different foreign countries. Among them, the conflict against the Soviet Union, or Russia has been lasted approximately 200 years and it still remains unsettled. The relation between both country was deteriorated when the Chechnya declared their independence from Russia, and this resulted in the long-lasted war between Russia and Chechnya. One of the driving force of the war for Chechnya was its religion, Islam. The Islam and the brotherhood of Sufi Islam are integrated with Chechen nationalism and they were the key factors during the war against Russia. In this present paper, we will deal with the Chechen national culture and its identification, the conflict history of Chechnya-Russia, Islamization of Chechen, and the power of Sufi Islam in Chechnya in order to give a careful consideration to the conflict between both countries.

  • This study originates from the examination of both Soviet Russia's and contemporary Russia's tabula rasa that numerous comprehensive national exertions have been trying to overcome, relying on the creation of numerous national emblems, political symbols, and even folkloric materials. With this mind, this work substantiates how the political and cultural symbols have been created in the contemporary socio-political and socio-cultural discourse in Russia. As with the political symbols that most recently been studied by Lee Trepanier, it must be recognized that contemporary social movements and political discourses have failed to "articulate a concrete political vision that reflects a consensus among elites, nor have any gained popular support" as the author confessed already. Concomitant to this general consensus, as Roy Medvedev has put it, we can contend that "today's leaders in Russia have no new ideology, and the mass of the people have no strong new national idea."

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the current situation and background of the Russian consumer music market, where digital music sources are making great strides in the noted recent years. In addition, music storage technology, media and change are considered together in this report. Moreover, Russia is the 12th largest music market in the world. The Russian music industry is following the recent trend of the global music industry, where the digital music market is growing rapidly on many different levels. The explosive growth of the digital sound sources in Russia's music industry is attributed to the explosive increase in available consumer downloads, streaming sound source service, and the increase in the number of digital sound sources using mobile technologies due to the development of the Internet. In particular, the sales of the available and accessible streaming sound sources are expected to grow explosively by the year 2020, which is expected to account for more than 85% of total digital music sales. In other words, the spread of smartphones and the resulting changes in the lifestyle of the Russians have created these changes for the global consumer of music. In other words, the time has come for anyone to easily access music and listen to music without a separate audio or digital player. And the fact that the Russian government's strong policy on the eradication of illegal copying of music is becoming an effective deterrent, as is also the factor that led to the increase of the share of the digital sound source to increase sales in Russia. Today, the Russian music industry is leading this change through the age and process of simply adapting to the digital age. Music is the most important element of cultural assets, and it is the beneficial content, which drives the overall growth of the digital economy. In addition, if the following five improvements(First, strengthen the consciousness of the Russian people about copyright protection; Second, utilizing the Big Data Internet resources in the digital music industry; Third, to improve the monopoly situation of digital music distributors; Fourth, distribution of fair music revenues; and Fifth, revitalization of a re-investment in the current Russian music industry) are effective and productive, Russia's role and position in the world music market is likely to expand.

  • This study investigates the parameters that affect the choice of Korean medical services, as well as the relationship between the cultural characteristics and the behavioral intention to use Korean medical services. The cultural characteristics of Chinese and Russian individuals have an impact on the national image and image of Korea's medical services, and that this affects their behavioral intention to use Korean medical services. Nevertheless, there were differences among the cultural characteristics, in terms of specific elements. Among Chinese individuals, the national image is affected by 'power distance', 'individualism-collectivism', and 'long-term orientation'; for Russians, it is affected by 'individualism-collectivism', 'power distance', 'uncertainty avoidance', and 'long-term orientation'. On the other hand, for Chinese, the image of Korean medical services is affected by 'power distance' and 'long-term orientation', while for Russians it is affected by 'power distance' and 'uncertainty avoidance'. These in turn influence their behavioral intention to use Korean medical services. As such, by recognizing these cultural properties, and by designing and offering suitable services with these in mind, Korean medical institutions can nurture among foreign visitors greater satisfaction and a desire to revisit.
