Implementation and Verification of Dynamic Search Ranking Model for Information Search Tasks: The Evaluation of Users' Relevance Judgement Model (정보 검색 과제별 동적 검색 랭킹 모델 구현 및 검증: 사용자 중심 적합성 판단 모형 평가를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this research was to implement and verify an information retrieval(IR) system based on users' relevance criteria for information search tasks. For this purpose, we implemented an IR system with a dynamic ranking model using users' relevance criteria varying with the types of information search task and evaluated this system through user experiment. 45 participants performed three information search tasks on both IR systems with a static and a dynamic ranking model. Three Information search tasks are fact finding search task, problem solving search task and decision making search task. Participants evaluated top five search results on 7 likert scales of relevance. We observed that the IR system with a dynamic ranking model provided more relevant search results compared to the system with a static ranking model. This research has significance in designing IR system for information search tasks, in testing the validity of user-oriented relevance judgement model by implementing an IR system for actual information search tasks and in relating user research to the improvement of an IR system.

  • Recently, a lot of users are using social network services as the spread of SNS and generalization of smart-phone. In this study, we apply clustering and ranking method for finding twitter influential users. First, we propose five ranking elements. The five elements include the number of follow, the number of retweet, IRP, IFP and influ-score. These elements are used by centroid point of clustering methods. This study can help to find novel approaches for finding twitter influential users.

  • 최근 UCC의 등장으로 인터넷을 이용한 멀티미디어의 활용이 생활화되고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 사진, 동영상, 음악 등 멀티미디어의 검색은 시간과 접촉 이용성을 증가시켜줄 수 있는 중요한 이슈가 되고 있다. 그러나 현재 제안되어 있는 멀티미디어 활용 시스템들은 전체 사용자를 기반으로 우선순위를 적용하여 단일화된 metric을 통한 랭킹 시스템을 제안함으로 사용자 중심의 실용적인 랭킹 시스템을 제공하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점에 기반하여 사용자 중심의 차별화된 뷰를 제공해 줄 수 있는 사용자 선호 기반(User Favor-Based) 멀티미디어 랭킹 시스템 '포토톡'을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 현실적인 랭킹시스템을 통해서 사용자 중심의 결과를 도출할 수 있는 장점을 가진다.

  • 본 논문에서는 자동차 시트 리클라이너 기어의 파인 블랭킹 성형 실험을 통하여 V-링 설치 위치에 따른 기어의 다이 롤 높이 변화를 검토하였다. 3 종류의 다이 편과 가이드 플레이트 편을 설계하여 파인 블랭킹 금형을 제작하였으며 650 ton 파인블랭킹 프레스에서 성형 실험을 수행하였다. 실험으로부터 제품을 취출하여 다이 롤 높이를 측정하여 분석한 결과 기어 모듈과 관계없이 V-링 설치 위치가 가이드 플레이트에서 멀어짐에 따라 다이 롤 높이가 증가함을 파악할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 결과는 향후 파인 블랭킹 금형의 V-링을 설계할 때 다이 롤 높이를 최소화하기 위하여 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • 기술용어 패러프레이즈 (Terminological Paraphrase, TP)는 학술 문헌 내에서 기술 용어의 개념 및 정의를 다른 형태로 풀어서 알기 쉽게 서술적 문구 (descriptive expression) 를 의미한다. 이러한 TP들에 대한 효율적인 식별과 추출은 학술 정보에 대한 개념적 접근이나 학술 정보 검색의 재현율 향상에 매우 중요하다. 본 논문은 생명 공학 분야의 논문에 나타나는 다양한 형태의 TP들을 효율적으로 추출하기 위한 정보 검색 기반의 추출 방법론을 제시하고 총 여섯 가지의 추출 랭킹 모델을 기반으로 이를 결합함으로써 TP추출의 확장 가능성에 대한 실험적 연구를 수행한다. 실험 결과, 활용된 랭킹 모델이 서로 상호 보완적인 관계에 있음을 알 수 있었으며, 랭킹 결합에 의한 성능 개선 효과를 얻을 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, to solve a vested interests of old papers in scientific literature ranking, we propose novel method that considers not only the current citations from other published papers but also the latent citations of papers to be published in the future. Furthermore, the method also considers the relevance of contents in the citing and cited papers. Finally, we verify the superiority of our proposed method through extensive experiments.

  • A type of workflow affiliation network is one of the specialized social network types, which represents the associative relation between actors and activities. There are many methods on a workflow affiliation network measuring centralities such as degree centrality, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality, eigenvector centrality. In particular, we are interested in the closeness centrality measurements on a workflow affiliation network discovered from enterprise workflow models, and we know that the time complexity problem is raised according to increasing the size of the workflow affiliation network. This paper proposes an estimated ranking algorithm and analyzes the accuracy and average computation time of the proposed algorithm. As a result, we show that the accuracy improves 47.5%, 29.44% in the sizes of network and the rates of samples, respectively. Also the estimated ranking algorithm's average computation time improves more than 82.40%, comparison with the original algorithm, when the network size is 2400, sampling rate is 30%.

What Gift and to Whom? : Choosing a Gift Based on Psychological Distance (누구에게? 어떤 선물을? : 선물 선택 시 심리적 거리를 중심으로)

  • In this study, we investigate which alternatives to choose when giving a gift, according to the giver's relationship with the receiver. In particular, we study which alternatives are preferred when the prices are approximately the same: products with high-brand status but low-model ranking or products with low-brand status but high-model ranking. Leclerc, Hsee, and Nunes(2005) conceptualized the relative preference between a low-ranking model of a high-status brand and a high racking model of a low-status brand. The category effect is the preference for lower-ranking models of high-status brands. Meanwhile, the ranking effect refers to the preference for higher-ranking models of low-ranking brands. Based on construal level theory, the current study suggests that the category and ranking effects vary depending on the giver's relationship (vertical vs. horizontal) and intimacy (distant vs. close) with the person who will receive the gift. We manipulate the relationship and intimacy of the subject receiving the gift and verify the interaction effect. Results reveal that the giver exhibited a category effect in vertical relationships in which the psychological distance was far from the relationship. However, the ranking effect was found in horizontal relationships in which the psychological distance was close. Lastly, the gift selection significantly depends on the level. Overall, this study showed that when choosing a gift, the selection of a low-ranking model of a product from a high-tier brand or a high-ranking model from a low-tier brand might vary depending on the type of relationship and the level of intimacy. In addition, our findings provided managerial implications in targeting and marketing communication strategies based on product status.

Performance Analysis of an Estimated Closeness Centrality Ranking Algorithm in Large-Scale Workflow-supported Social Networks (대규모 워크플로우 소셜 네트워크의 추정 근접 중심도 랭킹 알고리즘 성능 분석)

  • This paper implements an estimated closeness centrality ranking algorithm in large-scale workflow-supported social networks and performance analyzes of the algorithm. Existing algorithm has a time complexity problem which is increasing performance time by network size. This problem also causes ranking process in large-scale workflow-supported social networks. To solve such problems, this paper conducts comparison analysis on the existing algorithm and estimated results by applying estimated-driven RankCCWSSN(Rank Closeness Centrality Workflow-supported Social Network). The RankCCWSSN algorithm proved its time-efficiency in a procedure about 50% decrease.

  • Recently, multimedia applications using internet are increasing by emergency of UCC. The retrieval of photo, video, audio is a main issue to increase utility of access and efficiency of access time. But the exist multimedia applications do not provide the practical ranking system. They provide only simple ranking system using metric. This paper provides "PhotoToc", the user favor-based multimedia ranking system, that can provide differenced view to users. The proposed system has a to retrieve the user centered results.
