Deep learning with large amount of computations is difficult to implement on micro-sized IoT devices or moblie devices. Recently, lightweight deep learning technologies have been introduced to make sure that deep learning can be implemented even on small devices by reducing the amount of computation of the model. Quantization is one of lightweight techniques that can be efficiently used to reduce the memory and size of the model by expressing parameter values with continuous distribution as discrete values of fixed bits. However, the accuracy of the model is reduced due to discrete value representation in quantization. In this paper, we introduce various quantization techniques to correct the accuracy. We selected APoT and EWGS from existing quantization techniques, and comparatively analyzed the results through experimentations The selected techniques were trained and tested with CIFAR-10 or CIFAR-100 datasets in the ResNet model. We found out problems with them through experimental results analysis and presented directions for future research.

Currently, the demand for vehicles from one family is increasing in many countries at home and abroad, reducing the number of people on the vehicle and increasing the number of vehicles on the road. The multi-passenger lane system, which is available to solve the problem of traffic congestion, is being implemented. The system allows police to monitor fast-moving vehicles with their own eyes to crack down on illegal vehicles, which is less accurate and accompanied by the risk of accidents. To address these problems, applying deep learning object recognition techniques using images from road sites will solve the aforementioned problems. Therefore, in this paper, we compare and analyze the performance of existing deep learning models, select a deep learning model that can identify real-time vehicle occupants through video, and propose a vehicle occupancy detection algorithm that complements the object-ident model's problems.

Recently, researches using deep learning-based models are being actively conducted to replace statistical-based time series forecast techniques to predict electric power demand. The result of analyzing the researches shows that the performance of the LSTM-based prediction model is acceptable, but it is not sufficient for long-term regional-wide power demand prediction. In this paper, we propose a WaveNet deep learning model to predict electric power demand 24-hour-ahead with temperature data in order to achieve the prediction accuracy better than MAPE value of 2% which statistical-based time series forecast techniques can present. First of all, we illustrate a delated causal one-dimensional convolutional neural network architecture of WaveNet and the preprocessing mechanism of the input data of electric power demand and temperature. Second, we present the training process and walk forward validation with the modified WaveNet. The performance comparison results show that the prediction model with temperature data achieves MAPE value of 1.33%, which is better than MAPE Value (2.33%) of the same model without temperature data.

In this paper, we propose a deep learning-based transmit power control scheme to maximize the sum-rates while satisfying the minimum data-rate in downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems. In downlink NOMA, we consider the co-channel interference that occurs from a base station other than the cell where the user is located, and the user feeds back the signal-to-interference plus noise power ratio (SINR) information instead of channel state information to reduce system feedback overhead. Therefore, the base station controls transmit power using only SINR information. The use of implicit SINR information has the advantage of decreasing the information dimension, but has disadvantage of reducing the data-rate. In this paper, we resolve this problem with deep learning-based training methods and show that the performance of training can be improved if the dimension of deep learning inputs is effectively reduced. Through simulation, we verify that the proposed deep learning-based power control scheme improves the sum-rate while satisfying the minimum data-rate.

In this study, a deep learning model for predicting the queue length was developed using the information collected from the image detector. Then, a multiple regression analysis model, a statistical technique, was derived and compared using two indices of mean absolute error(MAE) and root mean square error(RMSE). From the results of multiple regression analysis, time, day of the week, occupancy, and bus traffic were found to be statistically significant variables. Occupancy showed the most strong impact on the queue length among the variables. For the optimal deep learning model, 4 hidden layers and 6 lookback were determined, and MAE and RMSE were 6.34 and 8.99. As a result of evaluating the two models, the MAE of the multiple regression model and the deep learning model were 13.65 and 6.44, respectively, and the RMSE were 19.10 and 9.11, respectively. The deep learning model reduced the MAE by 52.8% and the RMSE by 52.3% compared to the multiple regression model.

This research explores the enhancement of park operation and management by analyzing the changing demands of park users. While traditional methods depended on surveys, there has been a recent shift towards utilizing social media data to understand park usage trends. Notably, most research has focused on text data from social media, overlooking the valuable insights from image data. Addressing this gap, our study introduces a novel method of assessing park usage using social media image data and then applies it to actual city park evaluations. A unique image analysis tool, built on Visual Question Answering (VQA) deep learning technology, was developed. This tool revealed specific city park details such as user demographics, behaviors, and locations. Our findings highlight three main points: (1) The VQA-based image analysis tool's validity was proven by matching its results with traditional text analysis outcomes. (2) VQA deep learning technology offers insights like gender, age, and usage time, which aren't accessible from text analysis alone. (3) Using VQA, we derived operational and management strategies for city parks. In conclusion, our VQA-based method offers significant methodological advancements for future park usage studies.
In e-commerce, rapid and accurate automatic product classification according to product information is important. Recent developments in deep learning technology have been actively applied to automatic product classification. In order to develop a deep learning model with good performance, the quality of training data and data preprocessing suitable for the model are crucial. In this study, when categories are inferred based on text product data using a deep learning model, both effects of the data preprocessing and of the selection of training data are extensively compared and analyzed. We employ our CNN model as an example of deep learning model. In the experimental analysis, we use a real e-commerce data to ensure the verification of the study results. The empirical analysis and results shown in this study may be meaningful as a reference study for improving performance when developing a deep learning product classification model.

This study aims to create a deep learning-based classification model to classify suicide tendency by suicide corpus constructed for the present study. Also, to analyze suicide factors, the study classified suicide tendency corpus into detailed topics by using topic modeling, an analysis technique that automatically extracts topics. For this purpose, 2,011 documents of the suicide-related corpus collected from social media naver knowledge iN were directly annotated into suicide-tendency documents or non-suicide-tendency documents based on suicide prevention education manual issued by the Central Suicide Prevention Center, and we also conducted the deep learning model(LSTM, BERT, ELECTRA) performance evaluation based on the classification model, using annotated corpus data. In addition, one of the topic modeling techniques, LDA identified suicide factors by classifying thematic literature, and co-word analysis and visualization were conducted to analyze the factors in-depth.
The education sector is undergoing significant changes due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the advancement of artificial intelligence. Particularly, the importance of education based on artificial intelligence is being emphasized. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to develop a statistics education program using deep learning prediction in high school mathematics and to examine the impact of such statistically problem-solvingcentered statistics education programs on high school students' statistical literacy and computational thinking. To achieve this goal, a statistics education program using deep learning prediction applicable to high school mathematics was developed. The analysis revealed that students' understanding of context improved through experiencing how data was generated and collected. Additionally, they enhanced their comprehension of data variability while exploring and analyzing various datasets. Moreover, they demonstrated the ability to critically analyze data during the process of validating its reliability. In order to analyze the impact of the statistics education program on high school students' computational thinking, a paired sample t-test was conducted, confirming a statistically significant difference in computational thinking between before and after classes (t=-11.657, p<0.001).

As deep learning with the network-based algorithms evolve, artificial intelligence is rapidly growing around the world. Among them, finance is expected to be the field where artificial intelligence is most used, and many studies have been done recently. The existing financial strategy using deep-run is vulnerable to volatility because it focuses on stock price forecasts for a single stock. Therefore, this study proposes to construct ETF products constructed through portfolio methods by calculating the stocks constituting funds by using deep learning. We analyze the performance of the proposed model in the KOSPI 100 index. Experimental results showed that the proposed model showed improved results in terms of returns or volatility.
