세장비가 큰 사각컵 디프 드로잉의 유한요소 해석 (Finite Element Analysis of Multi-Stage Deep Drawing Process for High Precision Rectangular Case with Extreme Aspect Ratio)

  • Deep drawing process for rectangular drawn section is different with that for axisymmetric circular one. Therefore deep drawing process for rectangular drawn section requires several intermediate steps to generate the final configuration without any significant defect. In this study, finite element analysis for multi-stage deep drawing process for high precision rectangular cases is carried out especially for an extreme aspect ratio. The analysis is performed using rigid-plastic finite element method with an explicit time integration scheme of the commercial program, LS-DYNA3D. The sheet blank is modeled using eight-node continuum brick elements. The results of analysis show that the irregular contact condition between blank and die affects the occurrence of failure, and the difference of aspect ratio in the drawn section leads to non-uniform metal flow, which may cause failure. A series of experiments for multi-stage deep drawing process for the rectangular cases are conducted, and the deformation configuration and the thickness distribution of the drawn rectangular cases are investigated by comparing with the results of the numerical analysis. The numerical analysis with an explicit time integration scheme shows good agreement with the experimental observation.

  • This study shows the process design and forming analysis of permalloy shielding can that support the automobile multi-display parts to indicate the accurate information of car. This study is particularly important, since the strain and thickness of permalloy shielding can is known to affect the magnetic properties such as coercivity and permeability quite thickness of permalloy shielding can is known to affect the magnetic properties such as coercivity and permeability quite sensitively. The objective functions are strain and thickness deviation. The punch radius, die radius and blank holding force are considered as design parameters. Orthogonal array (OA) table and characteristics are applied to neural network (NN) as train data. After training, the optimal and robust condition of design parameters is selected. This study shows the correlation between the design methodology of NN and the statistical design of experiments (DOE) approach.

자동차용 타원형 디프 드로잉 제품의 다이 반경에 관한 연구 (Study on the Influence of Die Corner Radius for Deep Drawing of Elliptical Product of Automobile)

  • The circles deform into various shape during deformation, the major and minor axes of which indicate the direction of the major and minor principal strains. Likewise, the measured dimensions are used to determine the major and minor principal strain magnitudes. This circular grid technique of measuring strains can be used to diagnose the causes of necking and fracture in industrial practice and to investigate whether these defects were caused by material property variation, changes in lubrication, of incorrect press settings. In non-axisymmetric deep drawing, three modes of forming regimes are found: draw, stretch, plane strain. The stretch mode for non-axisymmetric deep drawing could be defined when the major and minor strains are positive. The draw mode could be defined when the major strain is positive and minor strain is negative, and plane strain mode could be defined when the major strain is positive and minor strain is zero. Through experiments the draw mode was shown on the wall and flange are one of a drawn cup, while the plane strain and the stretch mode were on the punch head and the punch corner area respectively, We observed that the punch load of elliptical deep drawing was decreased according to increase of die corner radius and the thickness deformation of minor side was more large than major side.

타원형 디프 드로잉 트랜스퍼 금형의 공정설계 전문가 시스템(II) (An Expert System for the Process Planning of the Elliptical Deep Drawing Transfer Die(II))

  • The study is insufficient on process planning of the elliptical deep drawing product. Thus, in this present study, the expert system for elliptical deep drawing products was constructed by using process sequence design. The expert system was developed to be based on the general concept of each entity. The system was developed in this work consists of sixth modules. The first one is a shape recognition module to recognize non-axisymmetric products and to generate Entity_list. The second one is three dimensional (3-D) modeling module to calculate the surface area for non-axisymmetric products. The third one is a blank design module to create suggested blanks of three shapes with the identical surface area. The fourth one is shape design module based on the production rules that play the most important role in an expert system for manufacturing. The production rules are generated and upgraded by inter- viewing field engineers, plastic theory and experiments. The fifth and sixth ones are a graphic module to visualize results of the expert system and a post module to rise user's convenience, respectively. According to constructed the expert system for process sequence design, it was possible to reduce the lead time.

디프드로잉시 AA1050판재의 초기 집합조직 거동에 관한 연구 (Behavior of Initial Texture During Deep Drawing of AA1050 Sheets)

  • The texture evolution during deep drawing of AA1050 sheets was experimentally investigated and the lattice rotation rate was predicted using rate sensitive model with full constraints boundary conditions. The measured textures are dependent on the amount of the flange deformation and the initial crystal orientations. In the specimen parallel to RD the initial crystal orientations and the D component rotated toward the Cu component and the initial crystal orientations along the $\alpha$ fiber rotated toward the G {1 1 0}<0 0 1> and P {1 1 0} <1 1 1> components during deep drawing. In the specimen parallel to $45{\circ}$ with respect to RD the initial crystal orientations around the D component rotated about ND and the initial crystal orientations along the ${\alpha}$ fiber also rotated toward the (1 1 0) [2 3] and (1 1 0)[2 7] components about ND. In the specimen parallel to TD. the initial crystal orientations around the D component rotated toward the rotated cube and the initial crystal orientations along the ${\alpha}$ fiber rotated toward the {1 1 0} <1 1 3> component.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a CAD/CAM system for generation of designing and manufacturing information such as total drawing sub-assembly drawing, part drawing detail drawing part list and NC data for machining by CNC lathe were CUT machining center. Through this study the CAD/CAM system for deep drawing transfer die in mechanical press process has been developed The developed CAD system can generate the drawings of transfer die in mechanical press. Using these results from CAD system. it can generate NC data to machine die's elements on the CAD system. This system can reduce design man-hours and human errors. In order to construct the system it is used to automate the design process using knowledge base system. The developed system is based on the knowledge base system which is involved a lot of expert's empirical knowhow in the practice field. Using AutoLISp language under the Auto CAD system. CTK customer language of SmartCAM is used as the overall CAD/CAM environment. Results of this system will be provide effective aids to the designer and manufacturer in this field

  • Even though there are some studies on the deep drawing process and process planning, little study has been done on the methodology of process planning of secondary operations of deep drawing such as 'piercins'. In this paper, first, we systematized the methodology of the process planning of secondary operations on axisymmetric cup. Second we described the development of the expert system for their CAPP For these studies, we extracted the knowledge of their process planning from experts and analysed and systemized them. To develop the expert system, rule-based reasoning paradigm is used. The shape information of manufacturing features of secondary operations are manually input to the system through SUI. The process planning results are automatically connected to AutoCAD. We believe that the systematized process knowledge and the development of the expert system for its CAPP could give lots of aids to the associated field.

  • This paper describes a research work on the die design for the deep drawing & ironing(D.D.I.) of high pressure gas cylinder. D.D.I die set is large-sized die used in horizontal press, which is usually composed of drawing, and ironing die. Design method of D.D.I. die set is very different from those of conventional cold forging die set.. Out diameter of the die set is fixed because of press specification and out diameter of the insert should be as small as possible for saving cost of material. In this study, D.D.I die set has been designed to consider those characteristics and the feasibility of the designed die has been verified by FE-analysis. In addition, the automated system of die design has been developed in AutoCAD R14 by formulating the applied methods to the regular rules.

기존 케틀 분석 및 가열 시스템 연구를 통한 16oz 팝퍼 케틀 국산화 기술 개발 (Localization Technology Development of 16oz Popper Kettle through Existing Kettle Analysis and Heating System Study)

  • 팝퍼 케틀의 국산화 개발을 위하여 기존 케틀을 분석하고, 열선 배치에 따른 열전달 해석을 통하여 케틀 국산화 개발을 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 케틀 재료 분석을 위한 시편을 제작하고 Polishing 및 Etching을 수행하였다. SEM을 이용하여 시편의 표면을 관찰하여 페라이트 퍼얼라이트 재질을 디프 드로잉 방식으로 제작하였음을 파악하였다. 도금층 재질 및 두께 분석을 통해 Ni(16%)도금이 $16{\sim}49{\mu}m$임을 파악하였다. 또한 열선 배치에 따른 열전달 특성을 파악하고, 최적 열선 시스템을 개발하였다. 케틀의 장시간 작업 시간 중에 발생하는 케틀 과열 시 작동을 중지하는 제어 시스템을 제작하였다. 케틀 개발 이후 성능 평가를 수행하여 부피팽창률에 대한 평가 규격 KS G3602를 만족하였다.
