  • Recently, digital images are extremely forged by editors or advertisers. Also, amateurs can modify images throughout easy editing programs. In this study, we propose identification and analytical methods for the modified images to figure out those problems. In modified image analysis, we classify two parts; a filtering change and a geometric change. Those changes have an algorithm based on interpolation so that we propose the algorithm which is able to analyze a trace on a modified area. With this algorithm, we implement a detection map of interpolation using minimum filter, laplacian algorithm, and maximum filter. We apply the proposed algorithm to modified image and are able to analyze its modified trace using the detection map.

  • In this paper, an inverse filtering technique for the digital filter model is proposed. This technique enables us to obtain a stable non-causal m inverse filter by transforming (approximating) it to a causal stable inverse system. In practice, a causal FIR approximation to this inverse filter is proposed. It can be shown that the impulse response of the inverse filter for all-pass systems is simply the mirror image of the impulse response for the system. Specially, due to this symmetric property of the impulse response of all-pass systems, the proposed technique is more useful for all-pass systems than other systems. In order to illustrate the proposed inverse filtering technique, four examples are presented. Two of them are for all-pass filters. The other two examples are for IIR and FIR filters. Also, computer simulations demonstrate that the proposed technique works very well.

  • In the distribution of digital image, the median filtering is used for a forgery. This paper proposed the algorithm of a image forensics detection for the classification of median filtering. For the solution of this grave problem, the feature vector is composed of 42-Dim. The detected quantity 32, 64 and 128 of forgery image edges, respectively, which are processed by the Hough transform, then it extracted from the start-end point coordinates of the Hough Lines. Also, the Hough Peaks of the Angle-Distance plane are extracted. Subsequently, both of the feature vectors are composed of the proposed scheme. The defined 42-Dim. feature vector is trained in SVM (Support Vector Machine) classifier for the MF classification of the forged images. The experimental results of the proposed MF detection algorithm is compared between the 10-Dim. MFR and the 686-Dim. SPAM. It confirmed that the MF forensic classification ratio of the evaluated performance is 99% above with the whole test image types: the unaltered, the average filtering ($3{\times}3$), the JPEG (QF=90 and 70)) compression, the Gaussian filtered ($3{\times}3$ and $5{\times}5$) images, respectively.

  • The scaled WDF should be optimized from the point of view of dynamic range. Transformer scaling method is attempted to maximize the dynamic range by equalizing the gains in the different nodes of the WDF. In this paper, the dual network and different frequencies are used to study the effects of different topology and of sampling frequency. Comparing with the unscaled WDF, the most significant observation is that the SNR is improved in the range of 7 to 35 dB in the WDF scaled by the trasnsformer scaling method. In addition, the SNR shows a continuous drop with the increase of sampling frequency, but scaling effects seem to decrease the rate at which the SNR drop.

  • A computationally efficient interpolation filter with a low-distortion performance is a key component to utilize the naturally-sampled pulse width modulation (NPWM) in a digital domain. To realize the efficient interpolation filter, we propose a novel design based on the recently-proposed modified Farrow filter. The proposed filter shows a better pass-band distortion performance maintaining similar degree of complexity compared with the conventional Lagrange interpolation filter. We achieve the maximum distortion deviation of 10-3 dB to 20-kHz audible frequency range and distortion reduction of 1/6 times compared with the Lagrange interpolation filter.

  • The Radon transform has been widely used in various techniques of digital image processing such as the computerized topography, lineament analysis in a remotely sensed image, slant-stack processing of seismic data, and so on. Compared to the Fourier transform, the utility of two-dimensional convolutional or correlational properties of the Radon transform, however, has been underestimated. We show that the two-dimensional convolution and correlation is respectively reduced to be one-dimensional convolution and correlation with respect to ρ in the Radon space. Therefore, one can achieve a two dimensional filtering by applying a simple one-dimensional convolution in the Radon space followed by an inverse Radon transform. Tests of the approach using FIR filters are carried out specifically for enhancing the ship wake in a RADARSAT SAR image. The test results demonstrate that the two-dimensional filtering through the Radon transform effectively enhance the ship wake features as well as reducing sea speckle in the image. Although two-dimensional convolution and correlation through the Radon transform are not so much useful as those through the courier transform in views of efficiency and effectiveness, it can be utilized to improve the quality of a digitally processed output when the process should be accompanied by the Radon transform such as topography and lineament analysis of SAR image.

  • Due to the development of ubiquitous computing, a wide variety of information is being produced and distributed rapidly in digital form. In this excess of information, it is not easy for users to search and find their desired information in short time. In this paper, we propose the personalized item recommendation using the image based filtering. This research uses the image based filtering which is extracting the feature from the image data that a user is interested in, in order to improve the superficial problem of content analysis. We evaluate the performance of the proposed method and it is compared with the performance of previous studies of the content based filtering and the collaborative filtering in the MovieLens dataset. And the results have shown that the proposed method significantly outperforms the previous methods.
