  • We understand the real form with light and it make us to visualize the world. Hence, light have got a great influence on formative arts in many ways from ancient time to now. Invisible and substantial light is described by many representational tools in various way and project the illusion. Projected illusion caused the change in human and general social culture. For such a reason, the representation of light is most important issue without distinction of age, space and genre. Now we are faced with CGI light just same as real light. So we need to study about properties of CGI light representation.

Muscle-Inspired Serially-Connected Digital Actuators for Low-Voltage, Wide-Range, High-Precision Displacement Control (저전압 대변위 고정도 구동을 위한 근육모사 직렬연결 디지털 구동기)

  • This paper presents muscle-inspired serial digital actuators, achieving the improvement of the range-to-precision and range-to-voltage performance. We propose a weight-balanced design for the serial actuators with serpentine springs using serial arrangement of digital actuators. We have measured the displacement range, precision, and drive voltage at unit and serial actuation of 1Hz. The serial digital actuators produce a full range displacement of $28.44{\pm}0.02{\mu}m$, accumulating the unit displacement of $2.8{\pm}0.5{\mu}m$ at the operating voltage of $4.47{\pm}0.07V$. In addition, the serial digital actuators having the displacement precision of $37.94{\pm}6.26nm$ do not accumulate the precision of the unit actuators, $36.0{\pm}17.7nm$. We experimentally verify that the serial digital actuators achieve the range-to-squared-voltage ratio of $1.423{\mu}m/V^2$ and the range-to-precision ratio of 749.6.

A Study on Depth of Focus of Particle in Digital Particle Holography (디지털 입자 홀로그래피의 입자 초점 심도에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the effect of important parameters such as the pixel size and number of a CCD, the object distance, the wavelength of laser, and the particle diameter on the depth of focus in digital in-line particle holography were investigated. The depth of focus in several different cases was calculated using simulation holograms and detailed description of the depth of focus in digital particle holography was presented. The depth of focus is directly proportional to the object distance and the particle size. With the increase of the wavelength of laser, the depth of focus is decreased. The depth of focus is also inversely proportional to the pixel size and number of a CCD. Using the data of depth of focus from simulation holograms and a data-fitting software, we obtained the prediction equations of depth of focus for typical CCD cameras. Finally, the prediction equations of depth of focus in digital particle holography were verified by investigating real holograms of the calibration target in different cases and satisfied agreement between measured values and predicted values was confirmed.

  • 원자력 시설 및 연구용 원자로 해체 시 해체 일정과 해체 폐기물량 그리고 해체 비용을 분석하기 위한 평가식이 수립되었다. 연구로 2 호기 Thermal column 자료를 참고하여 평가식을 실험하였다. 해체 공정 모사 결과를 애니메이션으로 보여주는 가시화 모듈과 해체 일정과 해체 폐기물량, 작업자 피폭선량 및 해체 비용 등을 평가식으로 계산 한 후 그 결과를 그래픽으로 보여주는 시뮬레이션 모듈로 구성된 해체 디지털 목업 시스템의 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스가 설계되었다. 해체 단위 작업별 평가식은 원자력과 관련한 시설 해체 시 해체 일정 및 해체 비용 분석 및 예측에 중요한 기초자료로 사용 될 것이다. 또한 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스는 방사능의 오염으로 인해 작업자가 접근하기 힘든 환경에서의 해체 활동을 사전에 경험함으로써 피폭으로부터 작업자의 안전성을 향상시킬 수 있는 유용한 도구로 활용될 수 있다.

  • The skin-frame type structure is designed to investigate the thermal deformation of the wing skin induced by the temperature gradient. In order to effectively simulate the temperature gradient on the wing specimen, a water cooling system is devised on the frame of the specimen. Out of surface skin deformation of the skin-frame type structure made of SUS304 material with respect to the temperature is successfully measured using the digital image correlation (DIC) technique including quantitative evaluation of the measurement uncertainty.

  • The space radiation/total ionizing Dose(TID) and its effects, and the GEO satellite system design considerations in space radiation environment are studied in this paper using Spenvis(Space Environment Information System). The GEO satellite system in space environment is simulated by NASA AP8/AE8, JPL91 and NRL CREME models, repectively for trapped particle, solar proton and cosmic-ray. The total ionizing Dose which is accumulated continuously to spacecraft electronics has been expressed as the function of aluminum thickness. These values can be used as the criteria for the selection of electronic parts and shielding thickness of the Digital Channel Amplifier(DCAMP) structure.

  • A control system has been being developed by korean engineers for 500MW korean standard type fossil power plant with the advent of retrofit of old control system. Simulators have been used for digital I&C system pre-tests and validation tests in nuclear power plants. In this paper, the power plant simulator for control system V&V was developed in order to verify the developed control system prior to application to a power plant. The control models were developed using plant control system data, translator programs, and vendor manuals. The developed simulator was verified by steady-state test, load swing test, transient test and so on.

  • National and social issues are becoming increasingly common, but traditional policy-making methods are no longer effective. Therefore, evidence-based policy making is emerging as an alternative paradigm. Digital twin technology is one of the digital support tools for the new data-driven policy-making process. This study presents ongoing government experiments in the world where digital twin technology is applied to policy making and describes our experience in developing digital twin platforms in Sejong-the de facto administrative capital of South Korea.

  • This paper describes the up-grade of the turbine governor for steam turbine due to its poor operation from long time use. The analog type governor of the unit 1 in Kori nuclear power plant in Korea was removed and the new digital type turbine governor was developed and installed. The procedure for the actual application, site adaptability test using dynamic simulator and the result of actual operation are described here. And the program for nuclear steam turbine is suggested here.

차기정지궤도위성 태양전지판 무중력 전개시험장치 적합성 검토연구

  • 항공우주연구원에 설치되어있는 태양전지판 무중력 전개시험장치는 지상 전개시험 시 지구 자중으로 인해 발생하는 하중과 마찰력을 상쇄하여 우주 궤도상에서 전개되는 것과 동일하게 태양전지판이 전개되도록 구성되어 있다. 이를 위해 에어베어링을 사용하여 전개 시 발생할 수 있는 전개방향으로의 마찰력을 상쇄하고, 지구 중력으로 인한 영향이 없도록 하기 위해 중력축에 대해 각 레일이 수평이 되도록 정밀하게 정렬되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 천리안위성의 정밀조립 및 전개시험에 사용되었던 태양전지판 무중력 전개시험장치를 차기 정지궤도위성의 대형 태양전지판에 적용하였을 때에도 전개시험이 가능한 지를 카티아 디지털 목업 시뮬레이션을 사용해 모사하고 검토되어야 할 주요 사항들에 대해 분석하였다.
