일본의 재단법인 데이터베이스진흥센터(DPCJ)는 매년 '데이터베이스 서비스 실태조사(벤더편)'를 기초로 하여 일본의 데이터베이스 서비스업 동향과 이용 현황을 살펴 보고 있다. 이 자료는 DPCJ에서 지난해 10월 '데이터베이스 대장총람' 수록기업을 대상으로 앙케이트를 실시한 것으로 일본의 데이터베이스 산업 동향을 엿볼 수 있다.

최근 한국광고단체연합회와 IMReserch가 공동으로 주관한 '99 Fall KNP 인터넷 사용자 조사가 올초에 이어 국내 인터넷 사용자 14,670을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 조사에 참여한 인터넷 기업을 언론사, 검색엔진, ISP, 쇼핑몰, 벤처기업의 5개 카테고리로 분류하여 총 35개 기업 웹사이트에서 띠 광고의 클릭을 통해 이루어졌다. KNP 인터넷 사용자 조사 결과에 대해 살펴봤다.

해외 유명 e러닝 기업들의 기술 노하우를 배우고, 미래 발전방향을 예측해 볼 수 있는 자리가 마련됐다. 한국소프트웨어진흥원(KIPA)은 지난달 29일 서울 삼성동 코엑스에서 e러닝 관련업체ㆍ교육기관은 물론 e러닝에 관심을 가진 일반인들을 대상으로‘e러닝 테크 2004세미나를 개최했다. 이날 발표된 주요내용을 담았다.

지난 8월 초부터 관련기관 및 업체를 대상으로 데이터베이스등록을 받은 결과 9월 27일 현재 173개처에서 308개의 데이터베이스가 등록되었다. 등록데이터베이스는 상업용데이터베이스와 기업내부용데이터베이스 및 공공데이터베이스 모두를 포함한다. 센터는 데이터베이스월드 10월호부터 등록된 데이터베이스를 기간별로 구분하여 매호마다 소개할 예정이다.

Visual tactility implies feelings of touch through sight. To be exact, the eyes are doing the touch rather than the body and the subject concerned will experience the sensation of touch by looking at an object similar to that of physical touch. This is quasi tactility to put it simply and it can be defined as to touch with the eyes. This can not only provide opportunities to experience something close to reality but also another completely different form of modern experience. Experiencing visual tactility through the use of the web permits lavish communication between the user and the designer. This paper has reorganize the concept of visual tactility, characteristic and way to use in digital contents. Visual tactility stimulates the users' emotion as such. If it was to be utilized to develop edutainment contents or web sites will foster children's capability to develope problem solving skills and raise efficiency in creative learning, and prolong the period of concentration in order to encourage revisits to the place and extend the time of stay.

The variation of real phenomena and shape of nature in our world is so complicated that some mathematical tools using the traditional geometric methods based on the Euclidean geometry and analytical differential method may be irrelevant or insufficient in some problems. Recently, to deal with these circumstances, one can use the fractal geometric method. As another measures, in this paper we introduce the non-integral order derivative function for the analytical method and construct to facilitate their calculation.

That's why it's targets are just primary, middle school and high school students. So it must spread their scopes especially in university student, industrial highschool students and publics as like globalization and business area.

Computer programming education can improve students' logical thinking and problem-solving ability. Therefore, it is essential tool to improve algorithmic thinking ability. We study how much Dolittle and Squeak influences improving elementary students' logical thinking ability. Thus, we divided 6th grade elementary students into two classes and then taught Dorittle and Squeak programming languages for 6 weeks, respectively. We compare and analyze each logical thinking ability and its sub-classifications. The results showed that Dorritle affects significant improvement, but not Squeak.

Traditional query processing method is not efficient for continuous queries with large continuous stream data. This paper proposes a data-driven query processing method for stream data. The structure of query plan and query execution method are presented. With the proposed method, multiple query processing and sharing among queries can be achieved. Also query execution time can be reduced by storing partial results of query execution. This paper showed an example of query processing with XML data and XQuery query.
