A change request in design education is a phenomenon manifested by changes in the value of the industry and market demands. Changes in external requirements and internal values that affect the design industry today are shifting from consumer-centered design to stakeholder-centered design. At the center of these changes, design education should be transformed into an educational mechanism that conforms to the characteristics of each field and design specialization should coincide with the direction of the capitalist market. Design specialization must realize the policy of education in economic value first, and should be changed to a design process that enhances rationality and efficiency from the previous apprenticeship education.

The domain of Web design gradually expands with the utilization of the Web and the development of technologies, but there are insufficient related studies. Thus, this study would recognize the importance of the Web design market and present the direction of designs in the future by investigating the process of changes in Web design. This study investigated the background of the revelation and evolution of design expression techniques and the flow of the information technology affecting the design and conducted a study analyzing the process of changes of Web design based on this. It is judged that this study has significance as the baseline research material for the expansion of the Web design domain of the future. As for the scope of the research, based on 30 years of the history of the Web, this study was conducted with materials on Websites, which had become issues from 1990 through the early-2000s and selected the winners of a grand prize in Web Award Korea since the mid-2000s as the subjects of analysis. This study analyzed the formative characteristics of design expression techniques and the characteristics of the information technology that affected Web design. As a result of the research, changes in design expression techniques could be divided broadly into minimalism and skeuomorphism, and it was found that the methods of expressing Web designs changed in various ways, affected by the development of information technology. It is predicted that with the emergence of various devices and the vitalization of video contents, the designs affected by minimalism, which can harmonize with them, will continue in the future.

우리는 컴퓨터와 인간이 교환하는 모든 시각 정보 개념을 주로 컴퓨터 Graphics로 총칭하고 있으나, 실제적으로 CAD와 CGD의 2가지 분야로 구분하여야 하는데, CAD와 CGD는 이용매체의 유사함으로 인하여 두 용어사이에 자주 혼동을 가져온 것 같다. CAD는 공학중심으로 CGD는 미학중심으로 이루어졌는데, 현 추세에 있어서 상호보완적, 의존적으로 발달되고 있는 바 CAID의 발생이 그것이다. 본문에서는 우리 연구소에서 주로 전자분야에 적용하고 있는 CAD시스팀 영역외에 산업디자인 분야에서의 컴퓨터를 이용한 CGD 및 CAD(CAID) 시스팀의 발전 동향 및 기술동향을 소개함으로써 산업디자인에 있어서의 그래픽 디자인의 이해를 돕고자 한다.

This study examined the trends of an illustration artist's art marketing widening its area in recent years and proposes a design concept of color cosmetics. Art marketing is a type of culture marketing and means marketing through exhibitions, performances and other artistic activities. Free artistic sensibility expression in which the artistic motif is melted into a product beyond the works of a particular artist, and the product, in turn, can be reflected in the canvas, has attracted attention. The works of illustrators are widening their area into the item in life not canvas. This paper proposes the color cosmetics design that reflect art marketing. The main target who proposed the design concept was trend-oriented and in their early to mid-20s with a strong personality, showing a strong tendency of attracting attention and being recognized. To emphasize the design concept of color cosmetics packaging design, the progressive image of the target class was reflected through brilliant and intense color combination. The cultural value and meaning are provided as the artistic mood becomes a part of life.

Modern Society is tuning to the wide organized social structure with highly varieties. To the cultural aspects in these days of the late-indusoial society, due to the post-modernism. This kind of trend was found in overall fields of studies. Therefore, the post-modernism is to be a kind of a modern spirit ruling over the late 20th century. Post-modernism is a vague expression, that was begun to appear in various artistic intellectual, ideologic trends with a repulsion of modern design after the World War II. The present age as a modern society slews a distinguished mark of undifferentiation disorganization and relaxation, disassembling of social structure. With the study on the background of occurrence, character and philosophy for the post-modernism, the theoretical background of post-modernism could be seen. According to the influence of post-modernism, the minimalism, retro-design, kitsch-design, deconstructionism-design deconstructionism-design, new materia1-design and cyber-design shown on each trend of modern industrial design were studied.

The mass collaboration, one of the newest solutions for web-related tasks, has been recognized to be an effective tool for the R&D sectors of the corporates, since the key advantages of crowdsourcing is that the industrial challenges can be shared with the public entities to find proper solutions. This research approaches to the possibility of the design adoption with participation thorough the Internet will positively effect to its process. This research tried to look around the current trend of web 2.0 based services which support the Mass Collaboration method and results of paper related to the Crowdsourcing and design integration. Following to the analysis of web research, we meet the conclusion as just a small number of users' opinion has helped designing new product and service. And we compared it to the conventional design process detail functions, less number of websites support it. However, the result of paper research shows optimistic results of collective design activity. Several cases emphasize that participants were very active to support their thoughts, memories and novel design idea, therefore designer and researchers got enormous help from them and it was better than conventional participatory design in some perspective.

If the stage of establishing concept in interaction design approaches only analytic and numeral & quantitative aspects, it would be lack of new and creative ideas of concept for the suitable and proper relationship among the human and tools or machinery which is required in interaction design. This study has explored the possibility of access through the research of diverse point of views in the various knowledge systems about the relationship. That is this study has expanded from improvement-intended approach as analyzing human and tools and solving problems with analytic and engineering aspect to value-intended approach as pursuing new ideas though various points of relationship. Or so, to examine 'Relationship' in other knowledge systems, it could be the basic research for more deepening and specific study in interaction design. To integrate this study, at first, it deals with interaction design and process. Through the specific method, it has investigated the current interaction design and related studies. In the next, it has researched the study of relationship in oriental and western philosophy, cultural science, social science, natural science and engineering so it has examined the relationship in the various points of knowledge systems. Based on the contents, it has considered the possibility of access in interaction design to explain the relationship in the various points of knowledge systems.

In this paper, we develop energy efficient designs for the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on FPGAs. Architectures for FFT on FPGAs are designed by investigating and applying techniques for minimizing the energy dissipation. Architectural parmeters such as degrees of vertical and horizontal parallelism are identified and a design choices. We determine design trade-offs using high-level performance estimation to obtain energy-efficient designs. We implemented a set storage types as parameters, on Xilinx Vertex-II FPGA to verify the estimates. Our designs dissipate 57% to 78% less energy than the optimized designs from the Xilinx library. In terms of a comprehensive metric such as EAT (Energy-Area-Time), out designs offer performance improvements of 3-13x over the Xilinx designs.
