  • 현대의 디자인 산업은 환경을 파괴하던 산업구조를 벗어나 에코디자인을 필두로 친환경적 디자인에 몰두 하여 업사이클에 큰 관심을 보이고 있다. 다양한 산업과 함께 패션 장신구 산업도 친환경적 디자인을 적용, 업사이클 장신구를 개발해야 할 때이다. 이 논문은 다양한 측면에서 업사이클의 개념을 이해하고 사례를 탐구하여 패션장신구 산업의 업사이클 방향을 제시한다.

  • Universal Design is comprised of three main concepts known as barrier-free, adaptive and life-span design. It does not focus on accessibility for the disabled, but rather expands its breadth to the comfortable use and easy access in ail physical environments and facilities. In this study, the researcher views the present and future of universal design through the cases of kitchen design. Based on the market changes in design guidelines and the changes of time uncovered from past studies, this researcher suggests that universal design would develop through mass customization for personalized use, application of new technology and consideration of psychological aspects. Additionally, for the diffusion of universal design appropriate solution in economic cost problem, social recognition and conversion of problem cognizance in designing is needed. In Korea design models of universal design concepts are not yet in production over various fields. In order to develop and study universal design which suits our country, cultural and regional characteristics should be considered as well as physical, perceptual, psychological aspects.

A Study on User Centered Design Process of Virtual Reality Contents (가상현실 컨텐츠의 사용자 중심 디자인 방법론에 관한 연구)

  • This paper summarizes the characters of virtual reality contents and its design problems, and suggests user centered approach in design methodology of VR contents. Based on case study of former VR contents design project, I developed a new VR contents design process in experience design perspective. This design process was applied on Tangible Space Initiative project of KIST, which showed positive roles of this design process as a dear communication media between project players, and an active generator of user-centered interaction design.

Direction of Touch Gestures and Perception of Inner Scroll in Smartphone UI (스마트폰 UI에서 터치 제스처의 방향성과 이너 스크롤의 인지)

  • In this paper, we investigated the touch gestures of the scroll direction of a small and long UI due to the characteristics of a device in a smartphone environment that has become popular and used. Touch gestures are touched and directed by triggers such as metaphors and affordances based on past experiences. Different types of touch gestures are used depending on the type of navigation, motion, and transformation gesture, but scrolling is the most frequently used among them. In general, the scroll is vertically scrolled, but recently, a design pattern that can be scrolled left and right inside is arranged to cause cognitive dissonance of users. In the use of an inner scroll that can scroll left and right by covering a part of the right content, the mixing of a non-scrollable design pattern becomes a factor that requires attention to the user. Therefore, it was found that the use of triggers and the use of consistent design patterns can enhance the user experience even in the inner scroll environment.

  • The population is aging rapidly in Korea. From that point of view, 'aging' becomes our reality, and the progression of aging brings about far-reaching changes throughout the whole country. The developed countries are making vigorous preparations for aging now, but our country has not been doing well. So it is necessary to research the counter plan for aging. As an aged society is coming dose at hand, we need the urgent overall countermeasures to decrease the difficulties and troubles the elderly are suffering in their daily lives. This thesis studied the documents and literatures on the fundamental direction of design in preparation for an aged society. The fundamental direction of design needs the conversion to the view that will enable society to cope with the problems of aging. One of solutions for them is Universal Design. Universal Design should be embodied with synthetic and diversified approaches and strategies. 1 expect the healthy aged society with Universal Design mind to build the society where everyone can live together.

  • 최근 가상현실(Virtual Reality)기술이 급격히 발전하고 있다. VR기술의 가장 큰 특징은 몰입감 증대를 통해 가상현실에서 시각적 정보를 구현한다는 것이다. 현재 군사 교육 엔터테인먼트 의료 등 매우 다양한 분야에서 콘텐츠의 개발이 활발하게 이루어지고 있다. 그 중 게임 산업에서 주로 활용도를 높이는 것을 배경으로 하여, 본 논문에서는 VR기술의 발전사로부터 VR구현 장비인 HMD의 기술적 발전방향 연구를 통해서 미래형 HMD디자인의 방향을 고찰하고자 한다. 탐구 이를 기반으로 향호 게임마니아의 니즈에 부합한 HMD 디자인을 제시하고자 한다.

  • With the abundance of material goods, modern consumers prefer consumable goods suitable to their tastes. Therefore, since the consumers'emotions cannot be satisfied only by the product's function, quality and price, the technique of developing goods satisfying the need or seed of consumers is required. As a solution, emotional engineering technology is being studied. The goods selected in this study is an aromatic case for car, This is a product which is appeared upon achieving economic abundanoe. It is practical goods for satisfying the requirement of consumers of a 'comfortable'automobile interior environment. Therefore, the emotional image that consumers have of the products is extracted by the emotional engineering method. In turn, the suggestion of a design direction that satisfies the consumers is possible.
